Before the Blood Wars In the beginning, the moon ruled the earth, and the sun hid its face in shame. From the breath of the first night came two children (one born of hunger, the other of howl.) The first drank blood to live; the second tore flesh to remember life. And between them stood man ;fragile, foolish, and fated to worship what he feared. The Vampires built kingdoms of marble and shadow. Their cities gleamed beneath eternal moons, where blood was art and sin was prayer. The Wolves roamed the forests, wild and proud, guarding the last pulse of the natural world. But man;man betrayed both. He built his churches atop wolf graves and traded his faith for immortality’s lie. Then came the Eclipse War when the moon bled across the sun and the sky split like flesh. Vampires fell upon wolves, wolves upon men, and men upon gods. For seven centuries, the world burned. Rivers turned red, mountains swallowed cities, and the air became a graveyard of names. When the fires dimmed, a whisper spread through the ruins: “A child of both will rise 'neither cursed nor blessed' and his blood shall end the night.” Few believed it. Fewer survived to tell it. But under a dying moon, in the ashes of the battlefield called Bloodfall, the prophecy began to stir. A woman of wolf blood, hunted and burning, gave birth beneath a ruined altar. The child’s first cry split the silence like thunder "half human, half beast." And when he opened his eyes, the fire bent away from him. His name was Riven Kael. Born of ruin. Bound to both night and dawn. And the world would learn — the war had only just begun.
