Chapter 47 - Your Kaiju Are Too Small:-Chapter 47: What the Hell Is That Thing!

Every Precursor in the entire space stared at the godlike giant.

"How is this possible?"

"Carbon-based life can't exhibit this kind of power—not even silicon-based!"

"What... what is he?"

Neither human nor Precursor civilization could explain the giant's existence. He was something completely beyond comprehension.

The paralyzed Striker Eureka was caught by an invisible force. Instead of crashing, it was gently lowered onto ruins—a structure now littered with Kaiju corpses carved apart by the Eight-Section Light Wheel.

The moment they touched down, Herc and Chuck looked up. Even surrounded by Kaiju, the giant remained utterly unaffected. Their jaws dropped.

"That... that's the giant the Marshal told us about."

"In Sitka, a giant like this saved the Marshal and Raleigh."

"The Marshal was right. That's practically a god..."

Herc's worldview shattered. He'd expected the giant to be powerful, but now that the giant stood before him, he realized how conservative his imagination had been.

His meager human mind couldn't fathom what kind of power a warrior from an advanced civilization could wield.

The moment the Jaegers were surrounded, he'd thought it was over.

But the reality? The Kaiju trying to surround them were the ones who were finished.

Too strong! Those Kaiju were like paper under the light wheel's assault!

He didn't know how Natsuki did it. Since he couldn't figure it out, he stopped trying. Right now, he just wanted to watch this godlike giant wipe out every last enemy.

For over a decade, humanity had lived under the shadow of the Kaiju. They'd scraped by under constant threat. Countless people had died. Countless more had been displaced.

Now, seeing this—his beloved had been taken by a Kaiju—Herc felt a surge of emotion.

This was the satisfaction of revenge about to be served.

He couldn't help but roar: "Yes! Just like that!"

"Let them taste despair!"

Chuck, younger and more hot-blooded, was practically on fire. It was like he was the one tearing through the horde. He threw his arms up. "That's so badass!"

"Kaiju? Precursors? Next to Mr. Natsuki, they're nothing!"

"Hahaha! Yes! This is amazing!"

Chuck's birth mother had been killed by a Kaiju. Now, watching so many of them get crushed like chickens in the giant's hands, he felt nothing but satisfaction.

Any Kaiju that tried to get close—one punch, one kick—crippled or dead on the spot.

And those light wheels he kept throwing? Absolute carnage. A single sweep cut down swaths of airborne Kaiju. When they plunged into the horde below, they became unstoppable meat grinders. Screams filled the air wherever they passed.

At the same time, Chuck suddenly remembered yesterday.

In the mess hall, thank god he hadn't said anything worse. If he'd actually pissed this guy off back then... what kind of horror show would that have been?

Lucky for him, Natsuki didn't bother stooping to his level. Mr. Natsuki's temper was way better than he'd imagined.

The first wave of Kaiju was slaughtered. Immediately, the next wave surged forward.

But it didn't matter if they were Category I, Category II, or even swarms of Category IV and V—none of them could touch him.

A large group of Precursors saw the tide turning. They quickly retreated into their structures, preparing defensive positions.

This wasn't how the script was supposed to go!

Was this still human?

Was this the kind of power humans were supposed to have?

"That... is what you call an Ultraman?" The Archbishop-level Precursor in front of Yoki glared at the sleek giant, teeth clenched. His eyes burned with rage.

"Yes." Yoki stared at the giant too. His mind churned with unease.

Wait, something's off here.

Is this really an Ultraman?

The first Leatherback had brought back fragmented footage. That had made them take Ultraman more seriously. But now? What the hell was this?

No, wait.

Wasn't Ultraman supposed to wrestle Kaiju in streets or mountains like some kind of playground brawl?

Smashing a few buildings was supposed to be a highlight moment.

Now this thing punches a Kaiju and it explodes, and you're telling me that's an Ultraman?

What the—!

Tsuburaya! You lied to me!

"However," Yoki said, forcing himself to stay calm, "no matter how strong this guy is, he can only stay active for three minutes."

"Once those three minutes are up, he's ours to slaughter."

He'd noticed the crystal on the giant's chest.

I'll admit it—you're way stronger than I imagined. We underestimated you.

But you're still an Ultraman. You still have to follow the basic rules. No matter how strong you are, what good does it do after three minutes?

All we have to do is survive the next two minutes. Then we win.

"Hmph."

"So this creature's evolution is still incomplete." Hearing about such a fatal weakness, the Archbishop's mood improved considerably.

What could you do in three minutes?

To claim Earth, they'd waited over two hundred million years.

"Our arsenal far exceeds human imagination."

"This giant of unknown origin is destined to fall here."

The Kaiju were cloned bioweapons. Their sheer numbers alone could drown the giant if they just kept throwing bodies at him.

No matter how strong he was, he was still alone. The numerical gap between them was a chasm. And he had a three-minute time limit.

No matter how you looked at it, the advantage was theirs.

At the center of the space, beneath the crimson vortex's glow, the giant faced the tsunami of enemies without fear.

He charged straight in.

"BOOM!"

One punch slammed into a Category IV Kaiju. Inexplicable force rippled across its surface. The entire gray body shot backward like a cannonball, crashing into the Kaiju behind it. One layer after another, they kept flying.

It didn't stop until it smashed into the edge of a Precursor structure, leaving a crater webbed with cracks. Then it exploded into chunks of meat. Blue blood sprayed everywhere.

"ROOOAR!"

"ROOOAR!"

"ROOOAR!"

As the giant descended from midair to the smoke-filled ground, even more Kaiju surged forward. Their roars seemed ready to swallow him whole.

Most of the Kaiju were taller than the giant. But facing their encirclement, he showed no panic.

He crossed his arms and swung them outward. Intense energy flowed through the motion, gathering between his palms into crescent shapes. In an instant, they shot out from both sides of his body.

The energy in this space tried to interfere, tried to weaken the attack. But no matter what, it couldn't affect the internal structure of those light bullets.

They plunged into the Kaiju on both flanks.

In a single instant—

"BOOOOOM!"

Any Kaiju that made contact was pierced clean through. Their bodies couldn't withstand the energy. Charred holes burned through them before they collapsed. The light bullets continued into denser clusters and detonated with a thunderous roar.
