Audrey's POV
"This is bullshit!" Minion One finally shrieked, finding her voice. "There's no way!"
"They can't possibly be spending money on you!" Minion Two cried, pointing a trembling finger at me.
Just then, a familiar, lazy voice cut through the chaos. "What's going on here?"
The crowd of workers and onlookers parted like magic. Dave and Dominic strolled in, looking completely at ease, as if they owned the place. Which, technically, they did.
My momentary triumph soured. Great. Now they'd show up, and all the attention would swing right back to them. I didn't need their rescue. I had this under control.
The minions' faces underwent another rapid transformation. Their horror was momentarily replaced by stunned, slack-jawed awe as they ogled the brothers. Then, desperation took over.
