Back in the hidden passage created by the stranger, they all passed through several piles of bones and skeletons which had been scattered all around like treasures.
"How did they perish like this?" Jordan asked. He was murmuring in particular, not asking anyone in particular, but the man leading them paused and turned back, flashing a smile at them.
"Those are the Zombieirrppe, and they came here mostly when I was digging this place, but I killed them. So that was what resulted in this," he announced, and immediately a deep silence grew intense in the group.
"What? He killed that?" Derek couldn't believe someone that looked that frail could do it. It was shocking, something none of them could do—even Kai himself couldn't do it.
"Oh, don't judge me, fellas. These are just the previous beastmen who stayed in this land before. Due to some territorial fight, they kinda killed themselves," he announced, and Kai frowned.
"So you lied?" he asked, angry with him all of a sudden.
