Julia's POV
"But seriously, that guy is completely smitten with you."
Kendra walked beside me as we left our final lecture of the day. It was already late in the evening, and the campus was bathed in the golden light of the setting sun. But I barely noticed the time or the scenery around us. My mind kept circling back to this morning, to Gavin's cold words that seemed to echo endlessly in my head.
Kendra bumped my shoulder gently. "Earth to Julia. Are you even paying attention to me?"
I snapped back to the present. "Sorry, what?"
She let out a small laugh. "That guy, Grant or Brain or whatever his name is. The one who keeps volunteering to carry your books everywhere. I'm telling you, he's head over heels for you."
I gave her a halfhearted shrug, not bothering to mask my indifference. "I'm not interested in him."
