Chapter 1 - Chapter one: Grey Legacy

The Grey name was once spoken with pride. Forgers of blades that never dulled, crafters of armor said to withstand even dragon fire-House Grey was a family of blacksmiths whose work shaped the history of of Terra. But all that glory turned to ash the night the monsters came. The horde swept through the city like a storm, leaving nothing but ruins and silence. No survivors. No trace of the smiths who had armed kings and heroes.

At least, that's what the world believed.

Three years later, two figures moved like shadows through the forest. Nova Grey, seventeen, kept his hand tight on the hilt of the sword strapped across his back. Beside him ran Sorra, his sister of fifteen, her breath sharp, her eyes burning with fear and stubborn defiance. Behind them, the sound of pursuit-the slavers were close, shouting and snarling as they closed the gap.

Nova gritted his teeth. He and Sorra were not ordinary runaways. In the world of Terra every soul was born with a gift, a skill etched into their very being. Nova carried two: Total Creation and Total Destruction, powers so rare and mysterious that he barely understood them. Sorra bore three of her own-Wind Boost, Inferno Cage, and Blood Spear-but she, too, was far from mastery. Their powers should have made them strong, yet untamed, they were as dangerous to the siblings as they were to their enemies.

Branches whipped against their faces as they pushed deeper into the woods. And then, without realizing it, they crossed a threshold. The slavers halted, muttering curses. He House Lunar's territory. The siblings had escaped their hunters, only to stumble into the jaws of another danger.

Armed guards surrounded them and dragged them before the head of Horse Lunar. A man of cold authority, he studied the two strangers with narrowed eyes.

"Why trespass on Lunar land?" he demanded.

Nova stepped forward, straight-backed despite the mud and exhaustion.

"We didn't mean to. We were being chased," he answered.

The lord's gaze flicked to the sword on Nova's back. After a pause, he issued a challenge. "If you wish to leave, you must prove your worth. Defeat my son in a duel."

Reluctantly, Nova agreed. That was how he came to face Nico Lunar, the heir of the house, beneath the eyes of nobles and soldiers. The clash of steel rang out, each strike echoing across the courtyard. Nico's skill was polished, his movements honed by years of training. But Nova's strength was different-born not only from talent but from endless hours beside the forge, shaping steel with his farther, testing weapons until his arms ached.

Steel locked. Blades sparked. And in the in the final exchange, Nova slipped past Nico's guard, his sword at the young nobel's throat. Silence followed.

Then Nico smiled.

"Impressive," he said warmly. "Your swordsmanship is remarkable."

To Nova's surprise, there was no punishment-only laughter, praise, and even an invitation to stay within House Lunar's walls. It was then their surname was revealed, and shock rippled through the chamber. Grey. The family that had perished there years ago. The smiths whose heirloom weapon still rested within Lunar's halls.

From that day forward, Nova and Sorra found safety for the first time since their family's fall. Tow years passed. Sorra studied tirelessly in the Lunar library, chasing mastery of her abilities. Nova trained in secret, slowly unlocking the terrifying truth of his own power: his gifts of Total Creation allowed him to forge not only steel, but skills themselves. Magic, mastery, infinite mana-he crafted them all with his own hands.

And when the time came, their paths diverged. Sorra, seventeen, chose the Academy, eager to grow stronger and make new allies. Nova, nineteen, vanished into the wider world under a mask and a new name-Corpse, an adventure cloaked in black.

Brother and sister. Survivors of a fallen house. The last heirs of Grey, rising from the ashes into a destiny that would reshape Terra itself.
