Chapter 16 - Damien's POV

'Hi Mr Owen. So, about dinner tomorrow, my mom's been asking if you are able to make it?' – Nadia

I guess she must have not wanted me there because she's using her mom as an excuse. Well, anything to see my princess again after what happened. I admit I might've gone too far but I really wanted her so badly to the point I am willing to give up everything.

I was home alone again and the thoughts of her running through my mind. I just needed to feel her lips again and just fill her up with me. I knew I had to wait for the right time, but any men would never wait that long. I hit to the one place I knew and the first time I see her there, 'La Madre'.

I called Ashton up because I don't think I want to waste a night not hearing his yapping, and also, I could get some juice about my princess's friend from him. Knowing that he might also be thinking about the same thing as me, except with his own princess.

"I'm heading to La Madre. You coming?" I asked Ashton and in seconds I could hear a woman's voice. Not any woman, just Amelia.

"Hi Damien, Ashton is here at the club and we are getting together. How about you join us and we could catch up together?" the voice that I tried to forget for the past 4 years. The one who left me 1 week before our engagement.

"Yea, sure. I'll be there," I tried to make my voice sound cool and collected. I told myself that Amelia is just another phase and Nadia is my focus.

I purposely posted a story on my Instagram, tagging my location. Hoping that she would see my post, and I see her there. I grab my car keys and start driving to the club. As usual, I was greeted by the loud music, alcohol in the mix and a crowd of people dancing in the middle. I spotted Ashton and the one that I wish I could forget forever, Amelia.

"Hey." I said with a hoarse voice. I try not to think back of the past, how she just left me with a goodbye and now that she has return, I need to make sure I keep my feelings in check.

"Damien! Ohh, how I've missed you!" Amelia was walking towards me with her arms wide, smiling at me like how she used to. I keep thinking back to Nadia's smile the first time I saw her. A genuine smile filled with sincerity.

Now looking back at Amelia's face, my supposed fiancée, I felt nothing but emptiness.

"You didn't tell me you came back. I would probably come see you," I tried to calm my nerve when Amelia hugged me.

"Well, I wanted to but what would be better than a surprise, right?" Amelia was smiling at me, something that makes my heart doesn't feel at ease for some reason.

I sat next to Ashton and gave him the eye of 'you knew but you didn't tell me' kind of look and he just shrugged at me. I kept drinking and talking to Amelia, catching up with her life abroad and what is her life goal, until my eyes landed at the entrance.

That's when I saw her, my dark skin-tonned girl. My Nadia. But the next second, Amelia sat on my lap and that's when Nadia saw me and she ran out of the door.
