Chapter Two: Rebirth (ii)
The irony, the sheer irony
Hahahaha
They said since physical pain wouldn't awaken me emotional pain would, and they were right, what I could feel in my body wasn't just rage it was power, real power and it was with this power I broke the shackles that binded me.
I was free but I felt more trapped than before, they were right the pain awakened some kind of power within me, although I had gained power I still felt pain but still I laughed hysterically, like a mad man on drugs
The irony that they were right, that what they said was true but this truth is what will bring them despair, that this truth is what awakened a power they thought they could control
As I broke free I saw it, I saw the despair in their eyes, the unwillingness to believe what was right in front of them
I had no time to watch them wallow in fear I had to escape, with my power I knew I could kill them as easy as killing an but even as I could feel the anger Clutching my chest I didn't kill them, not out of pity but the bitter truth, humans were vengeful and petty creatures especially so when something of importance is taken from them and I knew these scientists were important to them.
If I escaped now and was captured again I would just be subjected to harsher experiments but if I killed them I could put my family in danger, even with the power I had gained I knew i alone wouldn't be able to fight all of humanity.
So I ran and I ran, I ran as fast as I could to escape from here, the lab was underground so I tore through layers and layers of metal like paper i dug through meters of dirt and rocks to get to the surface when I surfaced I was dumbfounded, this whole time the lab was underneath the zoo I used to live.
Thou I felt rage I knew I had no time to waste I ran towards them, towards the humans I call my family
I had to hide on the way home so i went to a dump I had seen on the phone map I was given.
I found discarded clothes and wore them, although the clothes where smelling it was better than seeing a monkey running around in this time when humans feared animals
Home Finally
As I pushed open the door I saw them, the couples I called my family
What I saw made me feel pain they face pale looking as if they hadn't eaten for days.
I couldn't help but think how these two people were of the same human species as the creatures that captured me.
I closed the door and approached them I knew I had to explain quickly because of my disguise they wouldn't be able to recognize me but before I could do anything they hugged me.
It was at that moment I discovered I could cry, even after going through suffering and torture for years I never cried, it seemed that it wasn't that I couldn't cry, it was the people who were never worthy of my tears.
All it took was a single hug From my family to make me cry.
But I wasn't allowed to enjoy that moment
Come out now we know you are inside if you don't want to endanger your so called family surrender now we have you surrounded
They caught up already I wasn't supprised because i was aware they would be able to guess the only place I would head too after escaping
I was helpless I could not do anything, I couldn't even protect myself not to talk about my family
As I pulled back intending to go outside they stopped me. By the look in their eyes it was obvious they had a lot to say but their was no time, They said they anticipated a possibility where i would escape and have prepared a plan for situations like this .
I tried to protest that it was dangerous they didn't agree I had no choice but to listen to their plan .
A few minutes later the men outside saw someone with the disguise I wore coming out off the house, they mocked him saying what does this ape think he could accomplish, does the ape think he could out smart humans, as they were insulting him a man who seemed like the commander yelled for them to keep quite, he then looked at the person in the disguise and told him if he does not remove the hood in five seconds he would shoot.when he said that everyone noticed something wrong.
When the person pulled up the hood everyone was stunned, it was not the monkey it was the male the monkey referred to as his family.
The commander cursed and ordered everyone to search the house but it was too late I was already gone.
It turned out that they built a tunnel deep underground their house and I was currently in a car in the tunnel the female I called my family was currently driving through the tunnel she said she was taking to a space place.
I was worried if they would be able to follow us through the tunnel. She said not to be worried they had already thought of a solution .
Every 30 seconds the road we pass through in the tunnel automatically explodes therefore covering their tracks, she also created dummy exploding tunnels to make us harder to find.
it seems the people I call my family are not as simple as they seem .
After driving for over an hour they where no signs of them being followed
I was relieved but that didn't last as she told where we were currently heading, she said we were headed to the forest. To the home I was born in
