Chapter 51 - Chapter 50:Dawn Of Doves

Chapter 10:Dawn Of Doves

A mix of doves and crows scattered the wretched cloudy skies.Red has shaped an army of Navajo in case his plan with travelling to Kibo would've backfired terribly.Isura and Lunar's conflict and tension grew.

They couldn't trust each other anymore.Well Isura couldn't.That false confidence?Lunar's manipulation. She just hoped that she could do something useful to make an incredible change to the world.

As the tides increased,so did the certainty of war.Tropes of all races such as sea serpents, cursed crows, dragons and humans had different types of tropes and abilities on the line. The south korean humans fell too deep into Kraven's manipulation. They grew so arrogant even after Kraven began to grow white feathers of a dove, they didn't take orders from him anymore.Only the Overlord seemed right. But nobody was going to back down.

Toru was going to protect Lily. She had become very sick recently.Dark eye bags.High temperatures including things such as fevers.Sore throat.Random spots on skin.Skin practically melting in the sun.Lily's body couldn't go minutes without water.

It was heating up just like the world's rage.Toru couldn't balance chemistry and medicine alongside fighting and political war.

It was too much for him despite being a strong soul. He wanted to fight for Japan but also for Lily.Toru rested on his balcony, admiring the view, thinking what to do.

His wife's illness got worse.

And after all that practice and research and hard work,he tried experimenting different chemicals in different locations. And at first, the combinations went horribly wrong. But when the sun came out and Toru placed a new potion in the sunlight, the potion seemed to have positive effects.Toru knew this from the bitter smell and it also healed a limping dog with a sore leg.

This world always taught you that something was bad for you if it had a sweet smell and bitter if it was good for you.

No wait…he mixed up his thoughts, that rule was for Navajo to see if they were good or not.But Toru needed rest for peace and for his mind to comprehend everything he's been through.

That lumberjack family really made him tough. For a second,Toru questioned everything. All that questioning was pointless though.

Even if his family were bad people, they taught him to work hard and keep on moving as there was always a prize at the end of the road for hard workers. Some souls had different roads and prizes though. Some souls were dark and evil. Some were light and good. Some were a mix of the two. Some were neither.

The point was everybody was different. The point was that even if we have different journeys,we're probably all after the same thing. And what is that thing?Nobody really knew. There wasn't really a reasonable answer to why the rebellion was going to start.

But people were arrogant. They still are but anyways these people wanted to fight for freedom.Through war and genocide and violence? There has to be a better way through world peace and true freedom and equality.

Right?Right?!There's no way somebody would become bad against the world when we can all work together peacefully to make the world a better place, right?

Well some people are greedy and unfortunately you can't change people's minds. Ok maybe in ability manipulation, you can mind warp somebody's beliefs momentarily before they fully regain consciousness, questioning what just happened. It's all complex really.I'm not sure if I should even tell you the rest of this story.

I'm just kidding,I'll tell you the rest for sure! But this story is complex. All of it is complex. It might not be a story worth telling. If you're reading this,I bet you stayed from the prologue, didn't you?Well we're 50 chapters in.That's a lot of chapters!

And there's not much of the story left to tell.Time really does go by fast. And when I drift off into a world of my own thoughts and I tell you as a reader my own thoughts,it's very complex thoughts isn't it?

I should continue with the story now I'm sorry…but this story…it feels different compared to other stories.

You probably won't understand what I'm trying to say but once you finish A Night In Tokyo, maybe you can create theories on the true purpose of this story.

A horn from South Korea blew out loud into the wind vigorously. They were assembling troops to send into Japan and even the infamous third party of this unreasonable war,China.

The three countries were all planning to fight on the day of rebellion and the close coming of the mythical trio that started this, the ILO.People from the three countries questioned their purpose. Some were true rebels, fighting for their own freedom in general.

Some took it personally, attacking a specific country due to past history with ancestors. Some joined in to make sure their land wasn't squished on as if they were a worthless ant colony.

People were scared. And moral genocide does not mean genocide is moral.Genocide is the act of killing a large quantity of something, specifically a living species such as humanity.

Being moral is to be good which is how the word is viewed. Then again, there's no such thing as good or evil. There just is.You can't objectively say something is good or evil. That term was just created in confusion of what you liked or hated.

So the Japanese are not righteous in a sense. The Chinese are not wrong for interfering in the war.And the South Koreans are not evil as they were manipulated by the cursed crows and also the Overlord. But now the South Koreans won't turn back.

Kraven however has stepped on the pathway of redemption. And that is not classified as good in life,it's just the way some people interpret things. But in this world,a crow losing it's black feathers full of corruption and changing those feathers into pure white and pure peace is considered good.

Because that is the way things are seen.Kraven's crows will follow him without a doubt. But him changing into a dove? That goes against the whole purpose of crows. That goes against everything they built in this crow empire.

But in a sense,Kraven was right.Luckily he had enough time to realise that Red was corrupted so he turned back out of fear of annihilation.

Things shall go good for him if he has found his peace and truly turned away from his wretched past actions. And back to my previous point about moral genocide.Moral genocide isn't a physical thing. It means the death of morals and adding genocide to the name means that there are loads of good people losing their morals. Or it means one moral of one person has a large value.Throughout the east asian countries of the rebellion, people began to lose their morals. They grew in greed. They grew in corruption and sin.

They are rebels, turning against a specific thing for political reasons and causing a war, slaughtering many, hence the word genocide and morality is lost, hence the moral in moral genocide. So to my final conclusion, everyone's gone mad.

They're going to fight to protect their country…or countries. The general sign of the ILO's arrival was that evil would be more common in the world. And that is what's happening right now.People are turning evil for various reasons.

I wouldn't say evil,a better word would be antagonise.People antagonise others for personal gain or personal reasons.Nobody was pure good or pure evil.Toru has killed people for money but he changed to help his sick wife and he's trying as hard as he can to create a cure for her.

Maku isn't the best person in this age and era but he's a realistic leader. When Kraven sent his first attack,Maku halted. He waited and analyzed Kraven and Red's plan. There's really no point in waiting anymore.People are ready.

The tension is high in a quiet atmosphere from first sight. But when you truly look at what people are doing, you will see the ultimate truth. Some people are hiding in their homes out of fear. Some left their homes and are currently waiting for their homes to be destroyed in the rebellion.

The Genshi are preparing to fight against the two countries, they're quiet on the outside and at this point, you hardly hear anybody talk.Because it's too dangerous. One wrong thing to say will cost your life. So instead, people prepare. They prepare hard.

And I'm sorry for talking so long and not telling the rest of this tale.Which I will proceed to do now.Red was still on his journey to his brother,Kibo. And he sensed that Kibo was at Lady Applejack's house, their mother.

Red was burning on the inside like a human oven…or demon oven. But he did really want to find out the reason to why Kibo would be at his mother's house of all places.Meanwhile,Chief Lenny reached out to some blacksmiths to craft armour and weapons for the police force and the Genshi. The resources came quick.

Maku built defences for war purposes. He stared out the window on the open battlefield, knowing it would be painted with blood and full of dead bodies soon.Kimiko worked on her time manipulation skills to see if she could control time like she never did before, her young mind believed it would help in the rebellion and it just might.

Yanagi checked in on the Genshi and nearby villagers of the Genshi palace to make sure they were mentally ok so that they weren't freaking out and also had to make sure they were ok physically in case of an attack to the villages.Everybody was vulnerable but kept themselves in one piece.

Or at least tried to.

Irai talked to the moonstone constantly but as each day went on,it's voice got quieter and it's glow was dim. There was something terribly wrong with monko itself, the rock the moonstone is made out of in case you were wondering.Even the sea serpent world lost it's glow. The light was gone.Irai's light manipulation stopped working. He informed Celestial in his dream but she refused to answer why that was going on.

He told Maku and Kimiko and Yanagi. He even reached out to Old Man Anthony, the retired warrior who owned a farm and fished all day,in case you forgot.Old Man Anthony could only think of over tiring yourself from training too much, that was his only logical explanation for Irai losing his light manipulation skills and for the moonstone,he had no idea.Irai took a walk.

A long walk.

He stepped foot outside the Genshi palace and consistently paced himself at 3 miles per hour, walking down the steep hills, crossing villages, swimming through lakes, going through tall grass and a few terrible storms to reach Old Man Anthony's farm.

Irai through himself onto the ground, his muscles were shutting down on him.Anthony turned his head and saw the catastrophe. He carefully grabbed his walking stick and walked over to Irai, lifting his head from the ground.Irai's eyes were barely open.Anthony frowned and hit Irai with his walking stick right in the face. It left a rash on his forehead.

"Ouch!"Irai smacked his forehead and looked up.

"I wasn't expecting you."Anthony grabbed Irai's hand and lifted him off the surface.

"Sorry for the unexpected greeting Anthony…I got so tired my body slammed itself against the floor!"

"Don't overwork yourself boy, come inside,I was going to cook some dinner."Irai rubbed his hand around the back of his neck nervously and sat down in a spare chair that Anthony had.Anthony entered and exited the cabin as quickly as possible after getting some ingredients.

Anthony used a small blade to removed scales and innards of the fish to clean in it and prevented bacteria from spreading. He lightly salted the fish to bring out natural flavours, starting a camp fire.Placing the fish on a stick,it gradually cooked over the warm embers, every few minutes Anthony turned the fish to cook each side of it so that it would lead to a perfect taste.Thick, cloudy smoke rose into the air, carrying a faint earthy scent. After the fish was done cooking,Anthony placed it on a wooden tray. He handed some to Irai.

"It's best eaten slowly, savoring every single bite you take into the juicy and tender flesh of the animal."Irai nodded while eating the grilled fish. It tasted warm. It felt right. The grilled fish was the first good thing Irai ate in a while.

"Thank you Anthony for offering this meal to me.I appreciate it a lot!"

"No problem, you can always come back for more as long as I'm not sleeping."

"May I ask why you fish all day and just work on the farm all day?Don't you get tired from doing the same thing every single day?"

"Nobody's asked me that before because they mind their own damn business."

"Geez!I'm sorry…"

"No I was just joking."The two chuckled before the crackling of the fire took over the volume of the area.

"In this life, less is more. If I don't have a lot of something,it brings more value to me than if I had a large quantity of useless things I don't need. So working on this farm to me?It's a treat,a reward.I love my job and I will continue to do this till the day I die.And I forgot to mention this but I donate some of my food twice a weeks to the locals near my farm such as the poor people."

"It's nice to know that.I like your mindset. It's so peaceful.I want to achieve peace for this world someday."

"Well Irai, peace is not physical. It's a state of mind where you aren't bothered or distracted by anything negative. It's freedom from disturbance. You can't have that on Earth as there will always be something to distract you.But in your mind?Control your thoughts Irai.Control your mind, the way you do things. That is true peace.Atleast what I think is true peace."A slight tear rolled down the left cheek of Irai. He shut his eyes and embraced an illuminating light in his sight.

"I think I have my light manipulation back thanks to you."Irai stood up.A flicker in his hand sprouted into the air.

"Your welcome,Mr Korinzu."

"Welp,it's becoming dark now.The sunset is almost over.I should return to the Genshi palace so that nobody worries about me."Irai brushed off some dust on his clothes and made sure he had his sword and some of the grilled fish Anthony gave him.

"Safe travels Irai."

"Safe travels Anthony."

They waved at each other before Irai turned his back and ventured off into the open world of nature.Anthony's words were slowly changing Irai.Although he had to fight now to defend his country and the people in it,maybe he didn't have to fight in the future. He could've chosen peace instead.

When Irai returned to the palace,he gave as much grilled fish as he could to all the Genshi so that Yanagi wouldn't have to cook. But their meal didn't last long.BAM.A gun shot fired into the air.A few Genshi stared out the window. It was foggy at first but after the mist cleared,a horror shook among them.

Maku saw the scene and bolted out the doors as if he were a lose rabbit in the wild. But he was met to a gun to his head and Maku's antagoniser was a South Korean.

"Stay back."His thick accent slightly frightened Maku.Almost like he was resembling Kraven. But Maku was confused. As I said earlier,Kraven and Red influenced the South Koreans. That meant they used the same plague doctors masks as the cursed crows wear to show a sign of respect so Maku might have confused the South Korean for a cursed crow.

About a meter away from him was Chief Lenny. All beaten up with cuts and bruises around his skin and he was looking a bit deformed.Half of his mustache was gone and on the solid ground.

"You've been beating him to a pulp!"

"He looks like a squished plum.."Kimiko staggered. She traced her steps carefully to make sure that she wasn't too close to the South Korean.Irai shook his head but Kimiko ignored him. It was one Korean.

Not a whole army. But the thought of a single Korean beating up a police officer is quite strange. The South Koreans were planning to attack after blowing the horn they blew earlier so why was there only one in front of the Genshi palace? He was beating up Chief Lenny so that people could notice.

In fact,a crowd had began to spread and grow quicker than a wild fire.More people came round and peered over people taller than them just to see what was going on.Whispers filled the air.Suddenly, the air felt dense. It felt thick. And the only person who I knew that could control the air would be Maku.

His eyes were full of fury. He bent down in the position of a lion hunting it's prey. Those eyes were eyes of vengeance. The South Korean dropped to the ground in an instant.

He took off his mask and tried to inhale and exhale desperately, almost as if he were dying. And he was.Maku blocked his airways so that he couldn't breath and would eventually die.

"Who is your leader?"Maku questioned, placing his foot on the Korean's stomach.Sweat rolled down his face and onto the ground. He hesitated but knew this was his last moments.

"I'm not telling you a damn thing."

"Really?!That's your response?"

"Yeah."

"SO BE IT."

Maku watched the South Korean suffocate. He clutched onto his neck and his whole face was purple by this point.Maku spat on his body to say one final thing,

"What idiot gave you the right to step into my land and assault the Chief of the police department…"He turned to Irai and the rest of the Genshi. He placed one hand over his mouth and whispered,

"It's an ambush."Nobody came in that moment. They were still hiding in forests that covered the land. The Korean's mouth was full of foam that began to drop onto his clothes, almost like lava touching the crust of the earth.

Maku took a few deep breaths,he was pacing everywhere. It wasn't a smart move to do. In order to win a fight against an opponent you need to make them think you're weak.Maku wasn't scared. His body was just a bit exhausted as he hadn't used his air wielding in a while.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO THAT POOR MAN?"A little girl cried. She had no parents beside her. It was just her.Her tears fumed up,what a little spark of enthusiasm she was.

"That man-"Maku's voice was cut to the sound of her crying. She held a ripped up teddy bear with stitches and mold covering it. It was kept in a dirty blanket that created a revolting stench among the crowd.

"That man was a South Korean."

"SO?IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO KILL HIM FOR NO REASON!"

"Little girl you do not know what is about to happen right now.The South Korean beat up the Chief of the police department as you can see right here."

"Why would he do that…"

"Where are your parents?"

"I-I don't know."Maku sighed and grabbed the girl's shoulder, kneeling down he said this to her face,

"Run away from this place right now."The little girl stuttered and was lost for words. Her tears became even harder and grew, practically a river of salty tears.

"Stop sulking. There's no time for that. But there will be blood and bodies. So run now."The girl wiped her face with her blanket and turned from everybody, running as fast as she could.

"That goes for all of you.I'm warning you to run. Do it now or witness what true evil is."

"Yes Emperor Maku."The crowd chanted together, they were very obeying for some reason.Maku expected them to be gone by now so he could face the Genshi.

"Where did Chief Lenny go?"He was nowhere to be seen.Only a cart in the distance with a trail of blood following it hinted somebody collected Chief Lenny for medical assistance.

"While you were talking to the crowd,I got him a doctor."

"You know these doctors aren't good in Japan Yanagi! You should've sent him to Toru."

"Maybe you should get better doctors so that wouldn't be a problem."

"I'm working on it but not many people are ambitious enough to even save a stranger's life if it was a life or death situation."

"Why are these people so arrogant Maku?"

"It's not my fault,it's their decision.People develop that way due to specific experiences and nobody is born evil or good. They learn, that's my answer. But we don't have time to discuss morals.Follow me everybody."

Maku entered the Genshi palace again with everybody in the house. He entered a big living room where literally everybody could fit.The Genshi Palace was BIG.

The space in it wouldn't run out for a good while.Maku stood on a podium and clapped to make sure his voice could echo and bounce off the walls to appear louder.

"It has come to my attention that…our blacksmiths can't deliver our weapons and armour in time. The South Koreans are probably watching us at this moment.

Earlier today I contacted Toru, the famous assassin from Russia.

But I'm sure most of you know him already. His ability is to manipulate tools and materials.

He already replied to my letter and I made sure that the previous blacksmiths can deliver the tools to Toru. Not only will he deliver the tools faster but he will enhance them to become way stronger.

Sure,it may interrupt his doctor work but it'll help us long term and that's what matters right now.

So the best we can do is build our defences around the Genshi Palace and build defence in the nearby villages."

"Maku!"Irai shouted. He ran up to the podium, placing his feet but not fully stepping on.

"What is it Irai…"

"I know I haven't been much help right now,I've been dealing with problems. We all have BUT I don't think there's time for anything to come."

"We always have ability manipulation if the South Koreans attack us early. But we're low on armour. We're low on weapons. If we over work ourselves,we'll lose our energy. So let's be smart about this Irai. Please, step off stage."

"What else is there to say huh?"

"One more thing that's very important actually.Step off the stage Irai."Irai was right. He wasn't really helpful lately. It was like he was the main focus until Maku became Emperor and Aizakku died.

Imagine your Uncle dies.A whole country falls politically in so many ways it's unimaginable. You're forced to grieve for a short time then move on.

The world moved on so quick with Aizakku.Maybe because the ILO and the rebellion have become more popular recently.

Then after your Uncle dies, your friend beats you in a duel with a crowd watching, becomes emperor and develops arrogently.I would be very annoyed too.Irai isn't wrong,he's just going through lot that others don't see right now.

But Irai didn't want to make more conflict. He took his foot off the stage and stepped back.

"Hey!Don't do that again brother. It's selfish!"Kimiko grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back to make sure everybody focused back to Maku. But still. Some Genshi were staring. Some looked disappointed in Irai's behaviour.

"What an attention seeking brat.."An old man whispered.Irai heard that. Oh he heard that.

"Keep your mouth shut Kimiko. And keep your mouth shut old man."

"IRAI THATS ENOUGH!YOU DON'T NEED TO ARGUE WITH EVERYONE BECAUSE THE WORLD DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU.YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT'S SUFFERING!"

Maku tone sounded like a crumbling cave. It was deep. It was commanding. And it sounded like a true King.Everybody was looking at Irai now. He did seem like an attention seeking brat. He placed his hat down so his eyes would be covered and stared at the floor, embarssed.

"What a pathetic boy!How can you even hold the name of Korinzu? How can you be a royal? How can you be a Genshi?

Are you just a false ally of ours?

Honestly a disgrace.Kurisu would be disappointed in you. He wouldn't want this for you. He would want you to be mature, strong, brave, loyal!

True qualities of a Genshi!

Yet you stand here and sulk, shouting at the top of your lungs, interrupting the emperor and getting all sad when you're told to back down.

Are you even a boy if you get that emotional and insecure?Grow up!There's a war going on.There's enemies we need to slaughter!"

Maku panted for breath. He clutched onto his chest and kept on staring at Irai, what a fierce lion.Irai and Maku would fight a lot,it was natural conflict. But a speech like that?Irai covered his face completely. He broke down into tears and fell to his knees. The amount of emotions in Irai's mind, body and soul were uncountable.Spyrilling emotions all bottled up under pressure inside him that couldn't really be released to anyone because they wouldn't understand it.

"A-A-arrogence consumed you Maku…"

"Childish behaviour.."Maku faced away from Irai, continuing his speech about the weapons and armour.Irai tiptoed through the crowd and out of the big living room. He sat on the front bit of the palace right outside, admiring the view. But the unsettling feeling of South Koreans stalking the Genshi in the woods became too much for him. He shut his eyes and remembered the memories he had with Kurisu.

The carnival on new years. The training. The times they laughed. The times they worked together. And then the last time Irai saw his Father…without his Father,he felt distant from people,he felt isolated.

Irai's social anxiety has gotten better but…it always comes back somehow. For example, the crowd outside the hospital Aizakku was in.That was only one example, there are more that are unclear but you can figure that out.

A dove flew among the palace.Irai immediately looked up into the sky. There weren't many doves near the Genshi castle, typically crows roamed the skies in general. But a dove meant a good sign.

Something good happened. He didn't know exactly what it was because crows and doves only tell good and bad not specific details. But something good happened. That was all that mattered. It was a sign of hope. There was no chaos now.

No threats in the present moment but there would be.Still,Irai had to stay strong. He picked up his blade and trained alone outside.Consistancy was the thing he had to maintain along with a calm mindset.

Like Old Man Anthony said, peace is not physical,it's a state of mind.Irai had to fight. But maybe he could fight with peace instead of just clashing with weapons or using ability manipulation…

Back in Okinawa,Lily's sickness wasn't that bad anymore. She had a bad fever, back pain and a dry throat. That was way better than before. She could barely stay awake most of the time.Toru experimented everyday on new medicines and gave them to her, they worked very well. She sat in the living room, staring at the fire place while drinking some freshly made milk.

Toru had been enhancing weapons and armour for hours. He was almost finished,he had about 100 to 200 left to do. It was quite simple for him to enhance things but his muscles felt sore, specifically his limbs because he had been using his arms and legs to move around a lot.

There were hundreds of wooden boxes sitting outside and they were getting shipped on carts in dozens by people that Toru paid to deliver to supplies to Tokyo.Toru thought of a specific design that was well crafted and kept on forging weapons and armour to place in wooden boxes that would then be shipped of to Tokyo. He had been doing that for 8 hours straight. No breaks or anything.Just working.Just forging, like a miner forging for rocks in a desolate cave. But he added so much detail that the equipment was emotionally special not just physically.

30 minutes passed by.Toru created the last box of equipment and shipped it away. His hands began to have cramps from all that working.Toru opened and closed his hands constantly until the cramps finally rested and his muscle would be at ease. He went to join Lily at the fire place, sitting down right next to her.

"Feeling tired?"

"Yeah I do,but my body will recover in a matter of time."

"What exactly were those weapons you were making?"

"Shurikins, swords, knives, guns. All of those sorts.Y'know, the basic kind of weapons you would expect in this era."

"I just hope the Genshi are prepared against the South Koreans…"

"Oh they will be!I have faith in them.LOTS of faith."

"I'm glad you have a positive mindset my dear-"COUGH!COUGH.

"Lily!Haven't you been taking my medicine that I made specifically for YOU?"

"I-I have..but my throat feels dry all of the sud-"Another terrible storm out of Lily's mouth.

"This shouldn't happen..I swore those chemicals were safe to consume."

"Toru…don't overact. The medicine is working.I'm not completely better yet, there's still symptoms!"

"Sorry,you're right."

"Thank you for having some common sense."

"Don't be rough with me now!"The two of them chuckled it off and drank some water.

"I need to be careful myself not to get sick.Imagine a doctor getting sick.Who would help the patients?"

"Another doctor silly."

"But what if a patient doesn't trust the other doctors?"

"Then there will be somebody to aid the patient."

"Oh…Toru…your thoughts amaze me.I wonder what goes on inside your head."

"I think it's safe to say you have the mental strength and I have the physical strength."

"We're like two sides of a coin."

"Exactly."Lily drank more water and cleared her throat. It took a few attempts and her eyes teared up a little but she managed to speak in a clear tone.

"It'd be useful if you fought along side the Genshi."

"I don't fight anymore.I turned away from being an assassin."

"That was for money. This is for our country!"

"It may seem civilised but it's immoral. However if I really do need to fight then I shall."

"Your decision my love…"

A loud boom exploded in the far distance, echoing throughout Okinawa.Trees around the house shook violently and the wind gushed throughout the beach harder than any storm had hit them before.

Toru peered outside the window and saw an infernal giant mushroom from a far distance. It was in the water from the sea that was travelling rapidly towards the coast.

Although Toru and Lily were on a mountain, they were still incredibly close to the sea.Toru felt a harsh strike in his chest. He clutched onto it and shut his eyes in an instant, begging for the pain to stop quietly.

Lily reassured him by giving chest pain medicine but that didn't help as much as she thought it would.Flames burst out into the atmosphere, swallowing the horizon.

Practically,a tsunami formed and hit the coast of the Okinawa beach. The palm trees were throw around. The sand was pushed back.Lily and Toru both fell to the ground after the water had punctured the rocks of the small mountain their house was laying on.

"THE KOREANS REALLY PUT US ON THE SPOT HERE!"Toru's voice stammered as he tried to stand back up.

Lily's heart rate increased briskly. She couldn't breath for a few moments before Toru lifted her off the ground with ease.

"Stay calm my dear. It will be over soon!"

Toru hugged onto her tightly. Her tears went onto him but he didn't care. It was going to be fine. It was going to be fine. It was really fine, alright? That's what Toru was trying to believe but he was so dead wrong. The Koreans were sailing on ships towards the coast of Okinawa.Since Okinawa is far from South Korea, they planned to go around the country instead of doing a direct attack to the front of Japan. And this way, they would've reached Tokyo quicker.

"Stay here."

"Where are you going?!It's not safe out there!"

"JUST STAY."Lily scoffed and rolled her eyes. She watched Toru exit the house from the nearby window.

Fortunately for the South Koreans, there were ships everywhere.Everywhere on the coast of Okinawa at least. The previous explosion was a cannon from one of the ships. There was no clear leader in sight.Only ruthless South Koreans without political structure.Their plan is offense.Japan's plan is offense and defense.Surely, the Japanese had the upper hand, right?

But still it wasn't a safe country at the moment.Toru rushed down the hill and after a minute,he saw the washed up shore. The ground still had some water on it that got his shoes wet. Toru stayed low and entered an area of dark green bushes where he could hopefully blend in. He was wearing a green tuxedo anyways.

What could Toru do to fend off the South Koreans? He had no ideas. Was his arson really equipped to fight off approaching ships off a coast by himself with no support? He didn't really fight enemies in water but he thought quickly.Lily couldn't watch. All she heard was loud grunts and wood crashing. Oh and a bit of slashing.SLASH!THUD!GRUNT!CRACK!

All of that. She heard it for minutes. And minutes. And more minutes.Toru body slammed soldiers in every single direction. He countered all swords attacks. All blasting shurikins that were thrown at him.Every attack was dodged and countered. They fell but they didn't resist to express warfare rage.A flock of arrows descended from the skies and began to hit Toru's limbs over and over again.

Blood spilt through his tuxedo and he suddenly began to lose blood. He felt weaker but after a moment of hesitation, more boats docked the beach.Toru fought with effort and with pain.30 minutes passed by.The sounds then stopped completely. She dared herself to open her eyes but was met with warm hands rubbing against her back.

"Toru?What was all of that?"

"I delt with them…it was scary actually..."

"Don't be scared!Look at you.You're physically strong.Muscles,height,masculine appearance-everything!"

"I said I wouldn't fight because I just don't want to kill anybody but I was forced to just now…and this blood on my hands..I don't want it to stay forever."

"It won't stay there forever if you wash it off."

"I-I'm just scared."

"Scared of what?"

"Being someone I don't think I should be."

"Look Toru. You don't have to fight in the war.Just protect us,ok?I'm sure you protected other residents living here as well!"She turned to look outside the window and was met with a shocking horror.Lily jolted instantly.Bodies covered the beach of Okinawa.Hundreds.And not an exaggeration.

"Ho-how…how'd you do all of that?"

"All sorts of tool. It's best you look away because I don't want you to vomit."Koreans guts were spilled onto the floor and their intestines stretched basically all across the sand. The blood continued to spread. It wouldn't stop spreading…like strawberry jam perhaps.

A sweet scent lingered through the open air and it did in fact smell like strawberries. The bodies were quickly torn apart by an unknown force.Maggots, flies, all sorts of insects came together and ripped apart the bodies one by one. They just looked like black deceased zombies. When the swarm cleared,Toru and Lily couldn't believe their eyes.Everything was gone. The insects had eaten it all. That was only one of various waves of the South Koreans.

At the same time it could've been Navajo.Red was preparing an army of Navajo by killing bodies, taking their spirits and giving them a more…formidable form.Navajo's smelt very sweet when they mimicked the shape of a human but after they decomposed,a revolting scent would take hold the atmosphere and it spread well through oxygen.Specifically tropically gifted placed.

Toru thought nothing of the smell. He reassured Lily to go rest. There was no time to put extra stress on her mind. The medicine was working so if there was any more problems,it'd ruin the whole process.Toru placed all of the loot on the floor of their house that he took from the Koreans.

There were also Chinese to worry about.Residents around the beach of Okinawa had finally been brave enough to go outside and see what all the ruckus was about.Old people kept arguing and shouting with each other because of all the bodies perfectly spread on the beach by Toru.

He chuckled to himself and stared at all the loot. There were unreleased letters that would've been taken by birds and sent to South Korea in case something went wrong in the attacks.

There was also materials such as metal, wood and wool for some reason. There were bows and arrows,a few blades, some oddly thick clothing(Presumably animal fur) and that was it. He burnt the letters so that the South Koreans up North would think that the first wave was successful so that they wouldn't have to send a second wave.

This meant that there would be no further attacks for Okinawa. However, the Chinese had different plans. They were NOT an organised military at all.Everything was all over the place. The Genshi would exterminate them with ease. It was sad.China was the country Rida was from.

The Kitsune that died in case you forget.Actually,I shouldn't be reminding you.Because I know that you remember Rida. He's gone now.A fragment of the past practically.Rida was Chinese.Despite the current Chinese military being human, they want the same thing that Rida did.The moonstone. It's glow was dim,too dim.Monko naturally shined but the moonstone seemed to lose it's shine recently.

Ever since…the ILO signs were revealed in the Secrets Of The World. It was a bitter cause. All the Monko in the serpent world had kept on glowing. But the Moonstone stopped completely. It was a special piece of stone. All Monko was special but the Moonstone landed on Earth in 1645 for a reason that Irai was going to discover sooner or later.

Droplets of water fell from the sky.A storm was approaching Okinawa. All of it.The tide washed out the Korean bodies into the ocean.Blood changed the colour of the beach's water into a shade of light pink.

The clouds thick bodies of smoke covered the skies and now the scorching sun was nowhere to be seen.Lily leaned against the frame of the window and just stared out into the open. The ground was muddy.Birds crept into their nests hidden inside various diverse trees.Foxes lingered around, scavenging for all sorts of foods that their hungry stomachs could feast on.Wildlife backed up into their natural habitats.

As the sky grew to be more miserable, thunder erupted just in between the clouds.A spooked rabbit hopped through the window where Lily was resting. She was awoken immediately from her nap.

"What do you think you're doing, little one?"She chased after it calmly while pinching her dress to make sure she didn't suddenly trip. The rabbit suddenly stopped on it's fluffy paws. It's ear twitched east.Toru was in the direction the rabbit was slowly creeping up to. It's curious empty eyes, ready to be fulfilled with wonder. And with blood.Toru pick up the head of the rabbit he had just killed by ripping it apart using his bare hands.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"Lily stormed at him.

"It was rummaging around the place!Sooner or later, the creature would've knocked down a vase and broken it into shards."

"Toru, that creature is an innocent rabbit."

"How do you know what innocent is?"Lily stayed quiet. She patted vigorously on her chest for an approaching cough to come out of her mouth but she just couldn't cough. It felt so painful in her throat. It felt dry.And warm but also rough as if her vocal cords were millimeters away from sharp rocks that could slice her tissues any moment.

"Lily,do something-DO ANYTHING!"

"Stop.This.Right.Now."

"You were mad at me.Why didn't you speak just then?"

"I was trying to let out a good cough but I just-"There,there it was.Lily let out a good cough. She wasn't a rotting flower now was she?She cleared her throat one more time and argued for several minutes with Toru. Before they knew it,flies began to surround the rabbit.Toru got irritated quickly so he chucked the rabbit's body outside and before the flies could reach it,the hungry fox did.

But instead of the fox eating it,baby foxes surrounded the body of the rabbit and they began to devour it instead.Bit by bit.Chomp chomp chomp.Limb from limb.3 foxlings as I like to call it,had blood on their lips and fur.The mother I presumed howled for the foxlings to accompany her by a small puddle of rain water.

I guess…rain was not bad after all. It gave a meal to a fox family along with a drink.Toru washed off the rabbit's blood and made ultimate peace with Lily for the night. She took another tea spoon of Toru's medicine.

"What do you put in these-cures of yours!"

"Plants.Fruits.Seeds.More chemicals that you don't need to know about as it is my knowledge for the keeping."Lily shrugged and swallowed. Her throat was now striving with moisture.

It didn't feel as dry as a desert anymore. It felt like…a desert with water.

Gradually working it's way to be better. The two sat at the fire place once more.Toru chucked wood into the flames while Lily sprinkled bits of flowers she had picked up outside for a sweet smell.

"We're safe now my dear."Toru rested on the wooden chair he crafted alongside Lily who's breath was full of ice and mist.

"Don't call me dear,I'm still mad at you for murdering that rabbit in cold blood!"

"It was just a rabbit.You're lucky I didn't murder a whole deer,dear."

"Ok that was funny."The two of them smiled.

"I know,that's why I said it."

"You're so simple Toru but sometimes you're so…hard to understand.I can't really explain it that well myself but..you're a good kind of complex overall."It seemed like snow wanted to shine in the sunlight for a bit.

There was no spotlight back then so…sunlight it was.But in the current moment, there was no sunlight either.I guess snow just wanted to shine even if it didn't naturally, perfect timing.

No more Korean guards swarming Okinawa.Only Chinese guards swarming Kyoto and Tokyo.

"I am confusing I know.I kill but I don't want to."

"You were actually a very sweet boy when I met you in the woods for the first time."

"Our families were rivals and now look at us,married! That tells you something, doesn't it?"

"That love is eternal and hatred is not?"

"Not what I was looking for but that is accurate."

"What were you looking for then Toru?"

"Something along the lines of,greed only dominates when you listen to it."

"Somehow that makes sense but what I thought was simpler."

"Let's just not argue now.I defended Okinawa,we need rest. We're fighting battles.I played my part,I just hope Irai and the Genshi up North can withstand the Chinese and maybe some more Koreans if they're smart."

"They'll be fine,we just need to have faith in them.Faith and hope!Just stay confident."

"Yeah, true.Very true."Time went on,Lily became sleepy. She tilted onto Toru's shoulder overtime but he didn't care. What he cared about were the stars outside in the sky when the mist of the snow cleared. So did the clouds and the rain. There was just so much hope f0r Japan.Instead of a dove or a crow,a grey toned bird soared among the stars and for a glimpse of a second,Toru gazed at it's uniqueness.

He saw all of it.The shape, colour, form.Everything about this bird fascinated him. He pushed Lily aside gently, standing up to find a bow and arrow. With sharp aim,Toru closed one eye and pulled back the arrow. He let go.But his goal wasn't to kill the bird. It was simply to study it.

He shot the arrow at such a precise distance and such an accurate trajectory that the arrow shot the bird in one of it's wings. It fell down into shallow leaves and dark green coloured bushes.

"Must've survived."Toru whispered under his frosty breath. He created a body suit using the dead Koreans supplies to stay warm out in the harsh temperatures of the night.Toru tiptoed onto the melting crunchy snow as quiet as he could be.The bird might've still been alive. When he got a good look at it,he was right.

It was whimpering.Blood spreaded across one wing. The arrow was lodged deep into the animal's flesh and bits of feather had fallen to the ground.

Toru felt some guilt in his heart but he wanted to examine the grey animal for research purposes as he didn't want to be limited to only studying science.

"What..are you?Not white, not black. No signs of good or evil. You're grey…"At this point,Toru had grabbed the bird with his bare hands and returned to his house, laying it flat on an empty table in his newly constructed research room.

Toru flicked through the pages of a book about all sorts of birds around the entire world.

But after minutes of wheezing,Lily finally awoke. And Toru hadn't seen one page of the bird he just captured.Lily stepped into the room, rubbing her eyes and barely walking straight. She was still tired clearly and hadn't slept that long.

"Toru…why is there a bird on the table?"

"Reaserch.I can't find a page about this bird! It's frustrating y'know. When you think something has the answer to something you're looking for.But it doesn't!This bird really fascinated me. It's got dark spots around it's eyes,a sharp and thick beak, multicoloured belly, and a chopped of tail even before I captured it because I only used my bow and arrow to shoot it in only one of the wings to disable it's ability to fly,not to kill it. It just fascinated me so much…"

"As long as the bird doesn't die.I guess it's fine."

"No but..don't you see?"

"See what exactly?"Lily stared at the bird's crying body.Ease and discomfort filled her stomach immediately. It felt like something was rising up to her throat.Like she was about to vomit.

"Get me a bandage then if it makes you so sick, will you?"She nodded and covered her mouth, using the other to grab the nearest wrapped up bandage she could find and threw it to Toru.

"Thanks."Toru pulled his chair closer to the table and wrapped the bandage around the injured wing.

"You were going to let it go eventually right?"

"I was focusing on what i'd do now,in the present not in the future Lily. But what does this mean?Crows are black and doves are white. But this one…this one is grey for some reason. And I can't find it anywhere in my book!"

"Maybe you have the wrong book."

"Or maybe I just discovered a new species of bird. But why grey? There are only white birds or black birds,no grey."

"Maybe a white bird and a black bird reproduced?"

"No…that would lead to genetic mutations and give a high risk of the baby dying."

"Then what is it?"

"A sign from the higher powers,I'm sure of it. If this bird is grey and the other two birds are black and white, that means-"

"That it represents a mix of the two?So it's not pure good or pure evil,it's between those moralities?"

"Exactly. And that means something good is going on and something bad.I suppose the good part in Okinawa being safe and the bad part might be the North of Japan being attacked…"

"Why don't YOU fight with Irai and the people up North?"

"My job is to protect the south and theirs is to protect the North.I already helped defend off troops by myself."

"You really are a strong man Toru."His face grew red,the two of them hugged each other.A long hug.Eventually,Toru let the bird go.

He saw the bandage fall off the bird's arm, perfectly healed now.

Regeneration was possible.Very much so possible.Toru was going to discover it one day.

With his knowledge of biology,he would help the future quite a lot.

From blowing horns to horses trotting on the shaky ground. From blood gushing to gunshots to cries of enslavement. From ash and fire to emptiness on the battle field.Smoke rested in the air. It travelled far and thick throughout Tokyo.

The Chinese had struck as Toru predicted.Troubling gunshots echoed through valleys and through open fields.Nobody was safe.Kimiko lingered through the shadows to make sure the area wasn't infested with the Chinese.

"The area is clear."She whispered.Irai,Maku,Yanagi and other Genshi were hiding in a large cave deep in the woods not far from the Genshi palace. They had to move locations so it wasn't predictable on where they were hiding.Kimiko stepped out of the cave onto the bushy grass. She stayed low, scavenging for berries and plants in hopes of creating some sort of soup or stew perhaps.

The group had run out of food and they were full now but for future cases they needed more food.Who knows how long they could stay in this cave for?

Everywhere you looked, there were Chinese troops marching, everywhere. They never rested, eyes full of emptiness and no soul. The Chinese were clear that they had no leader.

Maku sent guards up north of Japan and to the west to see where the attacks were coming from.A mysterious change occurred in the moonstone's weight.

It was as light as a feather,as bright as darkness and as useful as a pebble. It was quite literally useless.Irai felt nothing inside of it.Just darkness. An overwhelming darkness.

"Are you feeling alright?"Maku questioned Irai repeatedly but he wouldn't respond back.Maku grabbed the moonstone for himself to look into it but…nothing came.Uneasy, tense, the room became.

"It seems like the moonstone has lost it's glimmer…it's practically a pebble."

"M-Maku.."Irai coughed and coughed until he fell to his knees, almost vomiting.

"Irai!"Kimiko rushed towards him and knelt down.

"Don't bother…I'm too sick…HOW DO NONE OF YOU FEEL IT!EXCEPT FOR…ME-"Sweat rolled down his face onto the ground. He gritted his teeth and didn't bother to look up.

"Irai we all know, this stone has lost it's value."

"No!Don't say that!Kurisu wanted the moonstone to be protected with our LIVES!OUR SOULS!It's the most valued item in the world!Monko is rare. And the fact it mutated into this mythical rock?WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE IT!"

"It's not luck,the Overlord planned for this.And it's useless."

"NO!IT MAY SEEM USELESS NOW BUT WAIT UNTIL ITS TRUE POTENTIAL IS REACHED!WHERE'S THE SECRETS OF THE WORLD?"

"Irai!Just stop shouting, alright?I'll figure this situation out."

"No you won't.You're not a good emperor. Now everybody search your pockets."

"Excuse me?"The rustling stopped.

"You heard what I said, now who has it?"

"I have it but what did you say back there?"

"YOU HEARD ME!"

"You're damn right I did."Maku threw his satchel onto the ground.

"Careful!I bet it's in there, cmon, let me see!I'm, sure I can fix the moonstone."

"Do as you must…"

"Guys,be civilised and logical about this. We can't be fighting each other when we have two countries to worry about!"Yanagi reassured. She was an anchor, pulling an entire ship down constantly. There was no time to fight allies. It was pointless.Irai searched through Maku's satchel and opened the ancient book to the moonstone section. He skimmed and scanned through everything but after thoroughly checking, all he found about the moonstone's downfall was this,

"Monko will break down when there is too much evil in the area it's in."Irai showed the line to Kimiko,Yanagi and the other Genshi. But not Maku. He had suspicion that Maku was the evil within them.

"What is it?"Maku asked. But everybody denied there being a line to explain why the moonstone was acting like this.Irai took the moonstone for himself, stepping back and trying to light it up again. He took a deep breath.Irai closed his eyes.A little bit of light fried the stone and smoke came out so he stopped.

"Why would you try to light it up?You can't interfere with it.Just leave it."Maku, being the last person to touch it,carefully placed the moonstone into his satchel.

"We're not weak people. This cave shall be abandoned right now.Get on your horses and we'll go back to the Genshi palace to discover a new plan. So they did.And they galloped for a chunk of time.

"STOP!"A chinese guard slammed his staff on the ground, creating cracks which plants and vines sprouted out of.A giant plant wall forced the Genshi to stop in their horse tracks.Jasper became agitated to the tight space.Irai patted Jasper on his neck to calm him down.Jasper neighed frequently and reared high before Irai pulled the ropes back and only then did the horse calm down.

"Shhh. It'll be fine.."Irai calmed the horse down successfully.

"We're just trying to get through. Why'd you trap us?Hm?We're just normal tresspassers, that's all."Maku persuaded.

"You!"The chinese guard chuckled.

"Yes?"

"You think-you think I'm stupid?I know EXACTLY who you people are.Japanese people.Genshi! The infamous samurai clan that has surprisingly gotten weaker over the centuries for some reason.I guess you don't train as hard as you did in Maikeru's time! And even before that!"Irai widened his eyes in shock. Was his Grandpa Maikeru THAT strong?Maybe he was.And the fact that the chinese man was mocking the Genshi for currently being weak now says a lot.Maku briefly remembered Maikeru. He remembered Aizakku,Kurisu and some other Genshi members that died yet were important to him.

"You really put me on the spot here.Gave me a memory that I truly appreciate. So thank you."

"Thank me for what?Maikeru is long gone. So are the other great Genshi members, now your whole clan is mediocre! What happened to the great Genshi?Hm?I remember you Maku.A little bit before the war of fury.Maikeru saved you from being eaten by wolves after your parents left you for dead in the open forest! The news was spreading like wild fire! You planted that seed as well,a seed from Suburb Ground. It created the magical forest. But not so magical now that my men are tearing it apart. The whole thing is just…amusing to me!You're clan is a joke. As good as dirt and pebbles. That moonstone of yours isn't that popular now,is it?It's losing it's value and everybody knows it."

Maku just stared at the ground,no expression in his face.

"I knew it!You aren't a good leader are you?So arrogant and greedy."

"Then you don't know me. I'm more structured and civilised about my clan than you are for your men.You don't even have a proper leader,do you?"

"We don't need a leader. We push forward and ATTACK!"The chinese guards bolted with their horses.

The plant wall sank into the vast ground and the cracks were sealed.Maku was blinded by a practical sand storm.

BANG!On the head.Something hard hit him. It felt like..rock.Hard rock thrown at him.

That chinese guard definitely had plant manipulation.A deep ringing sound echoed through Maku's mind. His vision was gone. All of his senses were gone.

Maybe that guard was right and maybe the suns were right about Maku.Maybe he could finally have self acceptance and care about others and be less selfish.

Maybe the role of emperor is not suit for him or maybe he's just exposing his true nature to the world because he achieved something he wanted for a long time and focused on it more than anything else.

That might just be overthinking it.

Is Maku actually evil or just misunderstood?

Think about it.

Maku cracked his neck, taking in the heavy hit of the rock.Half of his face was bleeding. He walked funny. In zig zags. Not a straight line. But he didn't take long to regain consciousness.Maku was hit by the rock about 30 seconds ago. It was nothing to him of course. He cracked his knuckles and his neck, letting out a deep sigh.

"Well then…ADVANCE!"He pointed at the Chinese guards.Genshi from all sides ambushed the guards and they were severely outnumbered in a matter of short time.

"Irai,Kimiko, detain that disrespectful Chinese man with one hell of a mouth.I'll be waiting right here."

The two of us nodded. We turned around but lost sight of him and could not see between all the clashing.I grabbed Kimiko hand and we went round all the blood shed. Some blood spattered onto Kimiko's face.Sticky, warm blood.

"Disgusting.."

"Don't let some blood get to you. We trained for this!"

I kept on sprinting and sprinting but realised Kimiko wouldn't be able to catch up to me.

"Fusion."

"Wait you mean like.."

"Fuse light and time,NOW."

"How would you-"Before she could finish her sentence, something emerged from the distance. We gazed at it for a while until we could get a clear view of it.Crows. Or doves?I couldn't quite tell. One thing I was concerned about was that Kraven was leading that group. The bird in front of the group wore a half tore plague doctor outfit. The side that was tore had…white feathers? The other side was just the plain usual black I've been dealing with all this time.

"KRAVEN!"I almost pulled my sword out of my holster but he yelled for me to halt. And I did for some strange reason. The last time I met Kraven in person.Wow..about a year ago since I've personally seen him.

"IRAI!IT'S BEEN A WHILE,HASN'T IT?"

"Yes it has."We both lowered our tones as we came face to face.

"Kimiko."Kraven nodded to her but her fisted illuminated sapphire. She kept a few feet back.

"For some reason, for the first time ever,I don't have the urge to attack you Kraven.I've noticed you've grown white feathers.Have things been going alright with you."

"It's a long story Irai.I captured a fleeing…Chinese person I presume. You can keep him."Kraven tossed the man onto the ground.Kimiko quickly held his limbs together as I wrapped light manipulation chains all around him.

"Kimiko,take this to Maku."

"I'm right here, it's fine, those troops were weak,I threw a tornado at them."Maku's tiring expression changed when he locked eyes onto Kraven.

He widened his eyes and took a few steps back.Heart racing, there was not enough proper concentration in order to create an air manipulation move.

"WHAT IS THIS TYRANT DOING HERE?WHY?YOU SHOULD HAVE STRUCK HIM BY NOW!"Maku formed a gust of wind to push the heard of birds back.

"NO!"Kimiko stomped her foot onto the ground.Everything immediately froze. She froze time, properly.Without having to channel energy anymore and she did not lose one ounce of energy either.Kimiko spun around everybody slowly in a circular motion. She dropped the chinese man with Maku and kept on walking around the main three. But as Kimiko focused on Kraven's army,it looked to be a thousand men.A thousand elite men.

Because the previous times the Genshi fought the crows they were low in numbers and low in strength but…it seems they have chosen quality over quantity due to their changed leader.

Half dove, half crow Kraven.Kimiko stood in between Maku and Kraven with Irai beside Maku. It felt like she was standing between centuries of a blood feud and…peace may come to it.Time unfroze again.Everything was back to normal and felt normal.Sight, sound and touch all felt…normal again.

"Irai or Kimiko, you can kill that chinese man now if you want to,I'll have a word with Kraven."

"Kimiko can you?I'd like to stay with Maku."

"Sure…"She picked up the unconscious body and walked over to the herd of dead chinese soldiers whose limbs were tore apart.Flies dismantled the bodies.Blood spread the battle fields.A revolting smell in the air began to grow near the bodies. The sight and smell made Kimiko vomit vigorously.

A sore pain in her stomach hurt way more than physical or mental pain but…honourable pain.Spiritual pain. She could not stand such an idea.Kimiko rapidly grabbed a spare pocket knife and stabbed the chinese man over and over and over again until he stopped breathing completely.

"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"

"YES.I'll be fine."

"Irai quit wasting time."Maku demanded. He turned his body back to the half dove half crow.

"Indeed I seem more peaceful now because…I am. My hatred for humans has decreased a lot. As you see my men here, their feathers are turning white. And…it felt quick but I want to redempt myself. All that massacre and bloodshed before wasn't worth it.There's no point in continuing this blood feud between crows and humans. We can work together in this war, can't we?We shall end this pointless war of selfish people."

"Sounds tempting, but I can't trust you kraven. Not completely anyways."Maku turned around and yelled for his men to regroup, along with Kimiko.Tears in her eyes were quickly dried by the humid atmosphere.Men formed practically an army behind Maku,Irai and Kimiko.

"It's Genshi again my kind.Human against crow.I finally understand why people hate my kind now.And we deserved it.But all of the past shall be left and we should focus on building a better future not a better past."

"You should learn from your mistakes."

"I have don't worry…I should've never trusted Red because…well…he's the overlord."

"We know unfortunately…where is he now though?"

"Not sure.I left the island of Terrence Oblivion in search of you people. The last sane being I saw was Isura."

"The sea serpents are still on the island?"

"Yes they are.And Isura kept talking to this imaginary being in the middle of the night when I was trying to sleep."

"Doesn't sound like she's the mental type, not like Kibo."

"We need to see the so called Queen Of Sea Serpents again.I hope she changed.I hope everybody has changed."

"We'll visit her alright. But the group of us bird can't be like this. We can't be half this half that. It ruins morality."

"Then become good,completely!"

"How?"

"Kraven,you seem weak now."

"I seem weak because I softened up for the sake of you people. For the sake of leaving Red. If you think redemption is weak and vengeance is strong then I would've been fully white feathered by now along with my army."

"I mean,you seem…less structured..less strategic."

"Maku you listen right now. This is the new me.I'm trying to change for good cause. You don't like it?That's tough, you'll have to deal with me until I say not to,understand?"Three black feathers grew onto Kraven's hand.

"My fault for being arrogant,I'm still getting used to this new lifestyle."The feathers slowly turned white again.

"Fine. We need a light source."Everybody turned to Irai.

"Nothing to absorb."

"Then create. No excuses Irai, you heard Kraven."

I sighed and clumped my hands together, closing my eyes.

Deep concentration.Total concentration.A flicker of light sparked in the palm of my hands.Another flicker. Then clear flow.I spread my hands out.A clear flowing light manipulation source. It beamed onto the crows. They all fell to the ground except for Kraven who was their leader.

"Submit to total redemption and ultimate peace.Morality and spirit will be strengthened and far greater than physical or mental brutality."

Kraven chanted and chanted over and over again until his men were saying it with true confidence and meaning. Before long, all crows were now doves, including Kraven. They were not know as cursed crows.Instead they shall be known as divine doves from this day onward till the day they perish from this world.
