Chapter 8 - chapter eight

"Jealous," I scoffed. "She was jealous; I was just looking at her, wondering why she was looking at me," I defended. "Mmmmm," he said, amused, not believing me.

Jealous, me? I wasn't jealous at all. Or was I... no, no, I wasn't jealous. She was not me.

"You can say no, but your facial expression doesn't lie," he teased, and I felt annoyed because I wasn't feeling jealous at all. He handed me his phone, and the camera was on. I looked at my tensed face and frowned eyebrows. "Jelly," he added, and I shuffled the phone back at him. "Not funny," I said, not amused. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry; forgive me, please," he said, trying desperately to hold his laugh, and he looked so cute.

"I'm joking; she was jealous when I called you baby. I saw the way she was looking at you; that's why I called you baby," he admitted, but I didn't care. "Are you mad at me?" he said, and I kept quiet. "Am I getting the silent treatment now?" he added, but I still kept quiet because tears were on my eyes. I didn't understand the feeling I was feeling, nor the reason why I was feeling jealous when that lady looked at him. I don't understand all these emotions. What are they?

I felt the car stop. "Testimony?" He called, his voice low and apologetic. "Testimony, look at me," he said forcefully, turning me around to meet my watery eyes.

Did I mention the fact that I hate that I'm really sensitive to the smallest things in the world? I'm just like my mother; little things broke her. In front of me, she was strong, but I knew that when I'm not there, she's bitterly crying. Other days, she'll just break down in front of me when she can't hold it anymore.

I moved my eyes up and down to avoid eye contact, but I felt his lips crash into mine, taking me by surprise. I took a second to respond to the kiss, but minutes to pick up with the depths of his fast pace as tears strolled down my eyes. He pulled away because I was tired. "I'm sorry," his voice was almost a whisper. "It's okay," my voice was barely a whisper. He gave me a head kiss. And again and again, and a small smile formed on my lips. "We're never ordering there ever again because that witch made my baby cry," he said, and instant butterflies filled my stomach.

"Now I'm happy," I giggled, breaking the ice, and he smiled in relief. We drove about thirty minutes until we reached what seemed to be his house. It's a luxury beautiful villa. "Uhmm, I can't get in here; what will your family say?" I asked. "Don't worry, I live by myself," he said. "All alone in this villa house?" he nodded, getting out as I unbuckled my seatbelt. He opened the door for me, and I got out, took our food, and followed him inside the house.

The entrance was breathtaking. The place was heaven. The furniture was beautiful, and art was displayed all over the walls. "Welcome to my lonely place," he said, raising his arms. I looked around all over the place. I followed him up to his room, which was really big. Everything was just black and white, but really modern and breathtaking. I put the food on top of his study desk and neatly organized it.

"Can we eat? It's almost five o'clock; I have to write my homework and go home," I said. "Mmmm," he said, seating down and taking his burger, and I started with my fries. Blues, they're so delicious. I ate like I was the only one in the room. I didn't care who was looking at me or not. I turned my gaze at Slavvy, who was already staring with a smile on his perfect face. "Why haven't you been in my life this entire time?" he said, his voice almost a whisper.

I'm not sure if he actually said it or if it was me hearing things.

"Mmmmm?" I asked, so he could repeat.

"I said, are you enjoying your food?" he asked, and I nodded. "Yeah, it's really good," I said. "Glad," he murmured and carried on eating his burger. We didn't finish the food since, of course, I was full and couldn't even take a bite of my meal again. I don't know why he ordered so much food. We decided to catch up on my notes and homework. We finished in just twenty minutes. "

"Done," I said, closing my book, our eyes locking in a heated gaze.

"Done," he repeated, his voice low and husky, handing me my book. I made sure to put it inside my bag this time, my heart racing with anticipation.

"Thank you," I whispered softly, and a small, enigmatic smile formed on his lips.

"What?" I asked, moving closer to him, my voice barely audible.

"It's nothing," he faced away, but I knew he was hiding something. I've been faking smiles for a very long time, so I know when someone is faking a smile or not.

"You're going to tell me, or should I tickle you?" I teased, jumping to tickle him. He laughed out loud, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Leave me, please stop," he pleaded, in between laughs, but I knew he was enjoying it.

"Tell me," I insisted, my voice playful, but he overpowered me.

In a blink of an eye, I was underneath him, and he was on top of me, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Guilt and shame filled my thoughts but also excitement filled me.

My heart skipped a beat as he claimed me, his fingers tracing my skin, sending shivers down my spine.

I felt drawn to him, my heart beating faster as we stayed close.

Our hands brushed, and for a moment, everything else faded. I leaned slightly toward him, and he met me with a gentle smile.

He held me close for a second, steadying me, and I felt safe in a way I hadn't expected.

We sat together, our shoulders touching, sharing a quiet laugh. His eyes met mine, warm and sincere, and I felt my cheeks flush.

"I have to go home," I said softly, remembering the time.

He nodded, a little reluctantly. "Do you really have to?"

"My parents will be waiting," I said with a small laugh, feeling a pang of disappointment that the moment was ending.

He helped me to my feet, his hand lingering briefly in a comforting, friendly gesture.

When we reached my house, I turned to him. "Thanks for today," I whispered.

He smiled and leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss on my forehead - soft, caring, and full of promise.

"You're special," he murmured quietly. "Don't forget that."

I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through me. Something about him made the world feel lighter, safer, and brighter, and I didn't want to let go of that feeling just yet.
