When the thick fog dissipated, Naruto's jaw dropped as he stared at Goku in utter shock.
He just... blew it away?
Having never witnessed such a feat, his brain felt like it was short-circuiting. His shock didn't last long, however, as he quickly noticed Kakashi trapped ahead and the heavily wounded Sasuke on the other side.
"Kakashi-sensei? Sasuke?!"
At that moment, everyone's attention shifted to the two newcomers. Their eyes held a mixture of confusion, bewilderment, and, for some, immense relief.
'How did they get here so fast?' Zabuza looked at them, completely baffled. According to Haku's intelligence, these two should have been training far from here.
Even if they had received a message from Kakashi and rushed over immediately, there was no way they could have been this fast!
'And what was with that gust of wind just now?' He hadn't sensed any chakra fluctuations in the wind, so it shouldn't have been some large-scale wind-style jutsu.
But if it wasn't a wind jutsu, where did it come from?
"Yo! Are you taking a bath?" Goku called out, waving at Kakashi inside the sphere of water.
Kakashi had been secretly celebrating Goku's timely arrival, but upon hearing this, his mouth twitched. "The enemy has trapped me," he replied with a look of exasperation.
"Oh, is that so?" Goku said, scratching his face with a clueless expression. "I really thought you were taking a bath."
"..."
Beside them, Naruto could no longer hold back. He formed a hand seal and yelled, "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Poof! Poof! Poof!
In an instant, dozens of Narutos appeared on the scene.
"We'll rescue Kakashi-sensei! The rest of you, go help Sasuke!"
After assigning their tasks, one group of Narutos charged toward Zabuza while the other rushed at Haku, creating a spectacular sight.
"Amazing! Tien's Multi-Form Technique can only create four copies, but Naruto can make this many," Goku said in amazement, seeing the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu for the first time.
"Take this!"
"Charge!!"
The army of Naruto roared as they rushed their respective opponents, ready to show off their skills.
However.
Poof! Poof! Poof!
As soon as the shadow clones got close to their targets, they were all swiftly defeated, disappearing in puffs of white smoke.
"Ouch!" The real Naruto, who was mixed in with the clones, was sent flying by a kick from Zabuza's water clone.
"What a reckless guy," Kakashi thought, feeling a deep sense of exasperation as he watched the scene.
Naruto likely couldn't even beat Haku, let alone Zabuza. Who gave him the courage to take on both of them at once?
"Naruto, just go and help Sasuke. You don't need to worry about me over here," Kakashi said as Naruto scrambled up from the ground.
Naruto glanced at Kakashi, then at Goku standing behind him.
As if understanding something, he puffed out his chest and declared, "You got it, Kakashi-sensei! Leave Sasuke's side to me!"
With that, he charged toward Sasuke and Haku's battle.
"Mr. Goku, I'm sorry to have to ask, but it seems I'll need you to protect Mr. Tazuna now," Kakashi said, turning his attention to Goku.
"Hehe, no problem! It's been two days since I've had a good workout. I'm starting to feel a little rusty," Goku agreed cheerfully, rubbing the tip of his nose.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" Zabuza, sensing things were taking a bad turn, made the first move.
His water clone launched a significantly weaker Water Dragon at Goku. Immediately after, the water clone dashed toward Tazuna.
As long as he completed the mission, he could retreat at his leisure. Even facing two opponents, he was confident in his ability to escape.
A small water dragon charged menacingly toward Goku. Just as it was about to hit, Goku's figure vanished. The water dragon crashed into the ground, turning into a puddle.
"Wow, that's much water!" Goku, reappearing nearby, exclaimed as he looked at the puddle. He then noticed the movement of Zabuza's water clone.
In another flash, he was behind the clone and brought a hand down in a swift karate chop.
Splash!!
The water clone had no time to react and was instantly split apart, dissolving back into a stream of water.
"How strange. It turned into water again," Goku remarked. Witnessing Zabuza turn into water once more, his interest in this world's fighting methods grew immensely.
"Hey, you. Let him go and fight me," he said, turning to face the real Zabuza.
"Are you saying Kakashi won't interfere in our fight?"
"Of course. This is a battle between the two of us."
Hearing Goku's response, Zabuza's expression flickered with uncertainty.
He didn't want to release Kakashi, nor did he trust Goku's words, but it seemed he had no other choice.
With just a water clone, he stood no chance of killing Tazuna. More importantly, he didn't believe he could maintain the Water Prison Jutsu while under attack from Goku.
And so.
"You'd better keep your word," Zabuza said coldly. He withdrew his hand, and the Water Prison Jutsu instantly collapsed.
Kakashi immediately broke free and flashed to Goku's side. "Thanks again," he said, thanking Goku while keeping his eyes fixed on Zabuza.
"If we team up, we can definitely take him down quickly." In his mind, Zabuza had only released him out of necessity, not because of Goku's challenge.
Therefore, there was no issue with the two of them fighting Zabuza together.
But to his surprise.
"This is my fight with him. You don't need to get involved." Goku placed a hand on his shoulder, his tone leaving no room for argument, a stark contrast to his usual simple-minded demeanor.
"Mr. Goku, you..."
Before he could finish, Goku stepped forward and beckoned to Zabuza with his finger. "Hey, let's get started."
Zabuza, who had been expecting a two-on-one assault, raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Son Goku, you have my respect. But you're going to regret this!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he formed a hand seal. "Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
In an instant, a ferocious water dragon, several times larger than the previous one, materialized from thin air and shot towards Goku with lightning speed.
"Whoa, that was close. Almost got hit," Goku said from mid-air, wiping non-existent sweat from his forehead as he looked down at the water dragon.
He had leaped up just in time to avoid its charge.
"You've left yourself open, Son Goku!" Just then, Zabuza's figure appeared behind him, his greatsword swinging down fiercely.
Swoosh!!
However, the sound of slicing air was followed by the blade cutting through nothing but space.
Zabuza's pupils constricted as he sensed danger approaching, and he instantly performed a Substitution Jutsu.
Thud!!
A large foot kicked down from behind, striking the log he had substituted with.
"Huh? He can turn into a log, too?" In mid-air, Goku's figure reappeared, and he cried out in surprise upon seeing Zabuza turn into a piece of wood.
On the ground, Zabuza, having escaped the attack with the Substitution Jutsu, felt his eye twitch involuntarily as he heard Goku's exclamation.
'Who is this guy? He doesn't even know about the Substitution Jutsu?'
Seeing that Goku had not yet landed, he seized the opportunity and quickly formed a series of hand seals. "Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!"
Instantly, a massive torrent of water erupted from his mouth, rushing towards the airborne Goku with tremendous force.
Seeing this, Goku formed a small sphere of ki in his hand and threw it at the column of water.
BOOM!!!
The ki blast detonated like a bomb, instantly blowing the water column apart.
For a moment, a massive spray of mist filled the area, and under the sunlight, it formed a beautiful rainbow.
However, Zabuza was in no mood to admire the view. He stared intently at Goku, who had just landed, his face a mask of gravity.
What was that just now? What in the world was it?
