I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating on the bedside table. Who could be sending me messages this early in the morning? I came home the other day and the look on Serena's face was still fresh in my mind. I'd cursed myself over and over again for being such an ass.
What did I think was going to happen? That I'd barge into her apartment, accuse her of cheating, and then leave freely? After all that I've put her through?
I'd been off alcohol because I didn't want to turn it into a habit. If I drank every time I had a problem or challenge then I'd have to be ready to lose everything I've worked so hard for. But I was so close to reconsidering because I could no longer face myself.
I leaned over, picked up my phone and saw a notification.

I sat up and opened it. The screen loaded slowly, like it was dragging out the moment on purpose. Then the words were there.
