"Too laid back?" Max's voice comes from behind me and I can almost feel it roll over my body, setting all my nerves on end.
I turn around to him. "If it was up to you, there wouldn't have been a celebration at all."
Max takes me in his arms and my body automatically moulds against his. "I'm just not a fan of big parties and stuff like that. That is not laid back, that is not being a party animal."
"Same, same." I open my eyes slightly and see Elias stare at us. He licks his lips as he looks away. Girls only... Right.
It's good to get to know my family, to have them around me. I might not know them now, but for the past twenty years I only knew my mum, the rest of my life I will get to know the other side of the family too.
