Chapter 3 - Episode 3: Transfer Student

When I arrived at school and sat down in my seat, a familiar face greeted me.

"Good morning, Susumu. Are the three of you going to school together again this morning?"

"Well, it's fine."

He answered while resting his elbows on the desk and looking out the window.

This is a lamplight.

He's a strange guy who always says things that don't make sense.

"Huh? What's wrong, Susumu?"

Even though I deliberately turn my back on him, he peers at my face from below.

"Go away. Shhhh."

Saying this, I tried to brush it away with my hand, but unfortunately, this thing was more troublesome than a fly.

"That's awful, treating your best friend like that. It brings tears to my eyes."

He takes out a handkerchief and pretends to bite it. What generation are you from?

"Are you really that stupid?"

"Ahahaha. I'm telling you, Susumu. Your capacity and your balls have both grown."

He casually throws in dirty jokes. It's just annoying as hell.

"Haa..."

I sighed and looked out the window again.

The overlapping cumulonimbus clouds float like giant snowballs.

"I want to fly into the sky too..."

He narrowed his eyes and said with sincerity. Upon hearing this, Teruaki grabbed my shoulders.

"My friend, let's go!" Teruaki said with a serious expression.

"Huh? Where is it?"

Has the heat finally made me go crazy?

As I was thinking that, Teruaki opened the window, spread his arms and shouted.

"Now, let's throw away the burden of common sense and take flight into the land of legend!"

"......"

The piercing stares our classmates give us hurt.

The light itself is basking in the afterglow, like a star receiving applause.

No, nothing's decided yet. Nothing's decided yet. In fact, it's pretty much decided.

"What do you think? My roar of freedom. Were you speechless, mesmerized?"

"Shut up. Go fly away on your own," he said, pointing at the window.

Sigh... Why am I surrounded by people like this?

I look at the idiot in front of me in amazement.

With his long, narrow double eyelids and straight, well-bridged nose, he is a handsome man when he is quiet, but he also behaves as if he is completely out of his mind, making him unpopular with the girls.

I heard he's the heir to some wealthy family, but he doesn't look like a rich kid at all; he just seems like a pervert.

And sadly, it seems that my classmates think I'm his best friend.

It's a shame...it's truly a shame...

"By the way, have you heard, Susumu? Apparently a new transfer student is coming today."

As if he had suddenly remembered something, the light suddenly changed the topic.

"A transfer student? At this time of year?"

"Yes. It seems like she's having some trouble at home. According to sources, she's a very beautiful girl. What do you think? Doesn't she seem a bit mysterious?"

Lightning is posing like The Thinker with his hand on his chin.

I replied, glancing at it from the side.

"Nothing special. I mean, why do you know that kind of information?"

"I can't even reveal the source to Susumu. But it's from a reliable source."

The light clicked its tongue.

Taku, this guy is too cool.

Even so, she's a transfer student, and a beautiful girl nonetheless...

I imagined a beautiful woman with outstanding proportions and became immersed in fantasy.

"Guhhhh..."

"Brother ♪ What's with that lovey-dovey look on your face?"

"Whoa!"

He suddenly heard a voice close to his ear, and he was so startled that he fell off his chair.

"Good morning Shiori-chan. You're always so cute."

"Good morning, Touka-san. You're as good at joking as ever."

Hikari greets him refreshingly, to which Shiori responds with a smile that exudes aura.

Shiori basically pretends to be a badass to her classmates and reigns as the school's idol, but Teruaki is one of the few people who knows her true nature.

By the way, the other person is Honokane.

"A transfer student...?"

Shiori frowned in displeasure.

This story is like a landmine for Shiori, who is hostile towards all women who get close to him.

"Yes, and she seems to be an exceptionally beautiful girl. Is Shiori-chan in trouble?"

Teruaki said with a provocative smile. Shiori smiled back.

"What's the problem? I have nothing to worry about when it comes to your brother. They're so in love that there's no room for anyone to get in between them. ♪ You, Mr. Lighting, should be more mindful of your own stupidity. ☆"

Shiori's harsh words don't suit her elegant smile. Teruaki responds in kind.

"That's right. Lately I've been feeling a bit scared of how perfect I am."

"Who said that? Haha, have your ears been affected as well?"

"Haha, what geniuses say is hard for ordinary people to accept."

"I don't really want to accept it though."

"Hey, Shiori."

I was about to say that that was a bit of an exaggeration, but Shiori interrupted me.

"I'll listen to your brother's story later, so please be quiet for a bit."

"That's right, Susumu. You should keep your mouth shut."

"...yes"

They were both laughing, but I thought I saw a flame burning behind them.

Maybe these guys are good friends after all...?

"Hey you guys, take a seat!"

While this was going on, our homeroom teacher, Kudo, arrived at the desk and we all hurriedly sat down in our seats.

Then, after Kudo, another person opened the door and entered the classroom.

The whole class was buzzing with excitement. That's how beautiful the girl was.

She is so small that she could easily be an elementary school student, and her shiny hair that reaches down to her waist and beautiful features remind one of an elaborate Japanese doll.

...yeah?

"......"

The transfer student stared at me with glass-like eyes.

What? I feel like I've met you somewhere before, but maybe I'm just imagining it.

As his memories wander, Kudo urges him to say hello to the transfer student.

"Today, I'd like to introduce our new transfer student. Come on, introduce yourself."

The man slowly bowed his head in an emotionless voice.

"Hiiragi Aika... nice to meet you..."
