Chapter 13 - Chapter13( Tell me to stop)

⚠️(This chapter contains mature themes,emotional tension,and dark romance elements).⚠️

The night stretched endlessly ahead, but Louis couldn't drive home, he sat in the parked car, the engine silent, Nessa's words echoing in his mind like a heartbeat he couldn't silence.

Don't push me away, Louis… let me in.

He ran a hand over his face, jaw tight, eyes stinging with something heavier than guilt. "You don't know what you're asking for, Nessa," he muttered. "You have no idea what I am."

The faint glow beneath his skin flickered again silver veins burning like a hidden curse. He clenched his fists until the light dimmed, forcing his breathing to slow. The hunger inside him had always been difficult to contain, but now it was unbearable. Every time he thought of her, the monster beneath his calm façade stirred, he started the car and drove not toward home, not toward her but into the darker parts of the city where no one would recognize him. The streetlights blurred past, streaks of orange and white cutting through the fog.

When he finally stopped, the old cathedral loomed before him, abandoned and quiet. He'd come here often a place that once held peace, now only a hollow reminder of what he'd lost.

He pushed open the heavy doors and walked to the altar.

"Still seeking forgiveness?"

The voice came from the shadows.

Louis didn't turn. "You always find me."

A low chuckle echoed. "You make it easy, brother."

From the darkness stepped Asael tall, sharp-eyed, his presence like cold smoke. His gaze flicked to the faint glow still pulsing beneath Louis's skin. "You're slipping again."

Louis's jaw tightened. Asael's smirk deepened. "chasing a human girl who doesn't even know what you are? Tell me, how long before you lose control?"

Louis's silence was answer enough.

"You can't fight what's inside you, Louis. You think love will fix it? She'll end up destroyed and so will you."

Louis turned then, eyes flashing silver in the dim light. "I won't hurt her, I'm not sure yet but I feel….. I mean I think she… she's my…fated."

"You need to fix it, you will hurt her..... you already are," Asael said quietly. "Every time you breathe her name, you bring her closer to your ruin, she a mere human and your not human... your dangerous to her… you'll kill her."

The words struck deeper than he expected. Louis's control wavered for a moment, his chest tightening painfully. "I can't stop thinking of her and the way she made me feel… there's got to be…. I mean another way. She's the only person that makes the hunger quiet, find out and tell me ASAP."

Asael sighed almost pitying. "Then maybe this the real curse. Not the blood in your veins, but the girl who makes you forget and drives you to the very edge….."

Silence filled the cathedral again. Louis stared at the altar, a thousand thoughts tearing through him, Louis knew Asael was right. Yet even now, all he could think about was Nessa the way she said his name, the hope in her voice, the light she didn't know she carried, and deep down, a darker truth whispered back: He would destroy her before he ever let anyone else touch her.

.....

Nessa on the other side of lucid city sat on the edge of her bed, the soft glow from her lamp casting golden light across the room. Her phone lay beside her, screen dim, his name still the last thing she saw before the silence swallowed her message.

He hadn't replied.

Again.

She bit her lower lip, fighting the sting behind her eyes. Don't cry, Nessa, she told herself, he's probably just busy… or thinking.

But deep down, she knew this wasn't about time. Louis was avoiding her and she could feel it like a bruise in her chest,

The rain had started outside, faint drops tapping against her window. She pulled her blanket tighter around her shoulders, the ache in her chest refusing to fade. Every part of her missed him the sound of his voice, the warmth in his eyes when he wasn't hiding behind that guarded stare,

Nessa curled deeper under her blanket, her eyes burning from the tears she tried so hard to hold back. She hated how easily he could make her feel small how one unread message could twist her heart into knots. Nessa reached for her phone one last time, hoping maybe, just maybe, his name would light up the screen. It didn't. A hollow laugh slipped past her lips. "Why do I keep hoping for you?" she whispered into the quiet.

Her pillow was damp when she turned to her side, hugging it close like she could fill the emptiness he'd left behind. She pressed her face into it and finally let the tears fall slow, silent, aching. The kind of tears that left no sound, only the faint tremor of a heart breaking too softly to be heard.

"Louis…" she breathed into the dark. "Why does it hurt like this?"

Sleep came slowly, heavy and uneven, pulling her down into a dream that felt too real.

At first, it was only darkness. Then came the sound soft footsteps on stone, water dripping somewhere far away. A pale light began to spread, outlining tall arches and a shadowed figure standing beneath them.

"Louis?" she whispered.

He turned. His eyes silver, glowing faintly met hers. The sight of him stole her breath. He looked the same, yet different; the air around him shimmered faintly, alive with something she couldn't name, she took a hesitant step forward.

Louis looked at her for a long moment. Then he moved closer slow, deliberate, as if afraid that getting too near would undo him. When he stopped just a breath away, Nessa could feel the warmth radiating from him, could smell the faint scent of rain and something darker, like temptation. His deep, smoky scent lingers in the air, dangerous but comforting, like fire hidden under velvet.

Nessa whispered,"I just wanted to see you....why do you ignore me so much….?"

"You shouldn't, seek me like this " louis murmured, his voice low. "Every time you dream of me, the bond grows stronger. You're not supposed to feel me this way."

"But I do," she whispered, tears glinting in her dream-self's eyes. "I can't help it, Louis. You're everywhere even when you're gone."

His gaze softened then, the storm behind his eyes breaking just enough to show the ache beneath. "You don't know what you're asking for, Nessa. I'm not what you think I am."

She reached up, her hand trembling as it brushed his cheek. "Then let me find out. Don't keep pushing me away."

For a moment, he closed his eyes and leaned into her touch. The world around them blurred, and for that fleeting second, it felt real. His warmth. His breath. The faint tremor in his hands.

"let me stay," she breathed. "Just for a moment." Nessa muttered underneath her breath .Louis gaze falling to Nessa's lips, Louis closed his eyes, his forehead resting against hers. Their breaths mingled slow, unsteady. The scent of him wrapped around her: smoke, amber, rain. She could feel the tension in him, the war between restraint and surrender, Louis lifted his hand to her cheek, his thumb tracing the curve of her jaw as though memorizing her. "You don't know what this does to me," he murmured.

"Then show me."Nessa replied

His lips brushed hers — not a kiss, just a touch of warmth, soft and trembling, like a promise neither of them dared to keep.

Nessa placed her hand around him, bringing his face close to hers while staring into his deep silver eyes she whispered "Show me you need me…,just as I need you"

"I shouldn't." Louis replied.

Nessa felt disappointed, slowly bringing her hand down form his neck.

Louis caught her hand in place and rapped her hand around his neck back as he replied "I shouldn't….. but you should." With a seductive smile.

Nessa was dumbfounded as she stared at him, she leaned in a placed her lips on his gently, savouring the sweet taste of his mouth, Louis deepened the kiss, biting, licking and sucking her lips, making Nessa let out a faint moan.

" Tell me to stop" he whispered.

She didn't.

He leaned in until their lips found each other, their kiss was gentle this time full of needs, but very protective like he was testing the boundary between danger and salvation.

The kiss deepened with time by emotion: a confession made without words, her hands clutched the front of his shirt, and he held her as though she might vanish, he sucked her lips like they where his new obsession, making her want more and more from him. Louis kissed her neck, sucking and licking her neck, his hand moving upward inside her free tee shirt, towards her chest, he could feel the very soft skin underneath her shirt, he caress her skin gentile, making Nessa give out another seductive moan, enough to drive him crazy. He went back to her lips sealing her lips with his, as he sucked and licked her lips gently, afraid of biting her again he drew back to meet her sweet gaze, her eyes teary as if she had been trying to hold back her tears., Nessa could feel he was stopping again disappointment washed her as she bit her lower lip, making Louis to groan inwardly his hand still inside her shirt, he moved his hand close to her bosom, making Nessa flinch, he could feel the warmth of her bosom, causing his eyes to darken. Louis leaned in for another kissed, this one rough and demanding his hands caressing her bosom rubbing and pressing making Nessa moan inwardly, his other hand grabbing her soft butt tightly, feeling the warmth of her bosom drove him crazy he couldn't take it anymore, he raised her shirt, exposing her perfect pale skin and her full bosom, he sucked on her bosom gently. He could feel his head spinning, he bit her hardened nipples causing her to moan sharply, he kissed and sucked on it so hard, he kissed her lips again, leaving her exposed nipple rubbing against his shirt, his fingertips playing with her hardened nipples, he kissed and sucked her lips, leaving Nessa gasping for air, his gaze turned darker, his breathing hitched and the atmosphere around became cold, he grabbed her butt tightly while caressing her nipples with his fingertip. Nessa moaned softly while grabbing his hair, Louis lips on hers where driving her insane. She kissed his neck and sucked on it, making Louis groan inwardly, Nessa licked and bit his neck leaving Louis wanting more. He could feel his demon slipping out, he could feel his control slipping away...

The atmosphere around them heavy, misty and ancient. Louis pulled back from the kiss hiding his gaze from her, he could feel his demons once more fighting to come out, he took steps back from her making Nessa to walk forward. She reached for his face, turning his gaze to meet hers.

He slowly opened his eyes to meet hers, his deep silver eyes, now crimson red, making Nessa breathe hitched…..

Every pulse in her body screamed in alarm and awe, as her hand remained on his cheek. Louis soft gaze on her as if pleading to her not to run away. The mist swirled around them once more, causing Nessa to closed her eyes, letting herself sink into it,

Her eyes shot open. And now moonlight streamed through her bedroom window, rain pattering softly against the glass. Her hand fell to her lap, heart racing, eyes full with questions and wonder. She was awake.
