Chapter 30 – Shadows Resurface
But peace never lasted long.
That night, Damien barged into Ethan's office, face grim. "We've got a problem. The mole just made another move."
He threw a flash drive on the desk. "Evidence. Someone in your executive circle fed LynxCorp your latest proposal draft."
Ethan's expression darkened. "Who?"
Damien hesitated. "It's someone close. Too close."
Before Ethan could ask more, his phone buzzed — a text from Clara:
> Ethan… there's someone following me.
The blood drained from his face.
Damien grabbed his jacket. "Guess the friendship's about to be tested."
And together, they ran out into the night once again.
