# Chapter 55: Everyone, the War Has Begun (Part 2)
"My homeland, the XYZ Dimension, is currently weeping under their iron hooves, and now, they have brought the flames of war here."
"However, compared to us, who were unprepared for war and suffered heavy losses, all of you are fortunate. The Leo Duel School learned of their conspiracy in advance and has made ample preparations."
Upon hearing this and seeing the Leo Duel School duelists fighting to the death on the big screen, the audience felt their hearts ease slightly.
"Everyone, the war has already begun, and my opponent is an undercover agent they sent ahead," Yūga Hōzumi said. The image on the stadium's big screen changed, now showing Dennis meeting with several members of the Obelisk Force.
"What? That guy looks so honest, but he's actually a spy!" The audience in the stands was in an uproar.
"Everyone, please rest assured and remain calm. Don't cause trouble for the Leo Duel School duelists. Leave this guy to me," Yūga Hōzumi said slowly, looking at Dennis, whose face was pale with shock.
"You can't stop the Academy," Dennis said coldly, his eyes narrowed.
"Done hiding behind your clownish tricks, Mr. Undercover Agent?" Yūga Hōzumi sneered as he drew a card.
"My turn! Draw!"
"I activate the effect of Dododo Dwarf - Gogogo Glove in my Graveyard!"
"If this card is in the Graveyard and I control a 'Gogogo' or 'Dododo' monster other than this card, I can Special Summon this card."
"I activate the effect of Dododo Dwarf - Gogogo Glove!"
"Once per turn, I can Special Summon one 'Zubaba' or 'Gagaga' monster from my hand."
"Appear! Gagaga Magician!"
"I activate the effect of Zubaba Banchou - Gagaga Coat from my hand!"
"If I control a 'Zubaba' or 'Gagaga' monster other than this card, I can Special Summon this card."
"I activate the Continuous Spell, Xyz Change Tactics!"
"I overlay Gogogo Golem and Dododo Dwarf - Gogogo Glove!"
On the back of Yūga Hōzumi's right hand, the red number 39 appeared as a vortex of stars unfolded before him.
"Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Descend, warrior of hope! Number 39: Utopia Double!"
"The effect of my Continuous Spell, Xyz Change Tactics, activates! When a 'Utopia' monster is Xyz Summoned to my field, I can pay 500 Life Points to draw one card!"
Yūga Hōzumi LP: 2700 → 2200
"I activate the effect of Utopia Double!"
"I detach one Xyz Material from this card to add one 'Double or Nothing!' from my Deck to my hand. Then, I can Xyz Summon one 'Utopia' monster from my Extra Deck by using this card on the field as material. The monster Special Summoned this way has its ATK doubled, but it cannot attack directly."

Number 39: Utopia ATK: 2500 → 5000
"There it is! It's Duelist Yūga Hōzumi's signature Number monster!" The Commentator Uncle, his worldview having been repeatedly shattered, had finally accepted the reality of the war. He now found himself instinctively siding with Yūga Hōzumi in his commentary.
"At this moment, the effect of Xyz Change Tactics activates again! I pay another 500 Life Points to draw a card!"

"I activate the effect of Zubaba Banchou - Gagaga Coat!"
"I target one 'Gogogo' or 'Dododo' monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it."
"Revive! Gogogo Ghost!"
"I activate the effect of Gogogo Ghost!"
"When this card is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon one 'Gogogo Golem' from my Graveyard in face-up Defense Position."
"I overlay the revived Gogogo Golem and Gogogo Ghost!"
The red number reappeared on the back of Yūga Hōzumi's right hand, but this time it was 50.
"O, warship from the netherworld, cross the shadowed sea! Bring ruin to my enemies! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Number 50: Blackship of Corn!"
From a starry vortex centered on a crimson 50, a massive battleship slowly emerged. On its raised sails, the crimson number 50 was exceptionally striking.
Number 50: Blackship of Corn.
"I activate the effect of Gagaga Magician! Once per turn, I can target one other 'Gagaga' monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it. After this effect resolves, I cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except 'Gagaga' monsters."
"Revive! Onomatopia!"
"I overlay Gagaga Magician and Onomatopia!"
"Appear, swordsman who slices through the gales! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Gagaga Samurai!"

"I summon Dododo Witch in Attack Position!"
"I overlay Dododo Witch and Zubaba Banchou - Gagaga Coat!"
"Lonely gunslinger of the desert, fire the silver bullet of victory! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Gagaga Cowboy!"

"Four Xyz Summons in a single turn—no, five! Is this Duelist Yūga Hōzumi's true power?" the Commentator Uncle exclaimed in amazement. "Go for it, Yūga Hōzumi! Fire the first glorious shot of this war!"
"Gagaga Samurai's effect! Once per turn, I can detach one Xyz Material from this card to target one 'Gagaga' monster I control. That monster can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn."
"I activate the effect of the Gagaga Magician that was just sent to the Graveyard as Xyz Material! When this card is detached from an Xyz Monster and sent to the Graveyard, I can target one Xyz Monster on the field and have it gain 500 ATK until the end of the turn."
Number 50: Blackship of Corn ATK: 2100 → 2600
"I activate the effect of Gagaga Cowboy! By detaching one Xyz Material, during the Damage Step when this Attack Position card battles an opponent's monster, this card gains 1000 ATK, and the opposing monster loses 500 ATK!"
"I activate the effect of Number 50: Blackship of Corn! Once per turn, I can detach one Xyz Material from this card to target one monster your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to this card's; send it to the Graveyard, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card cannot attack the turn I activate this effect."
The cannons of the great warship in the sky aimed at the Performage Trapeze Magician leaping about before Dennis and fired a black ray of destruction.
The Performage Trapeze Magician was annihilated by the ray before it could even let out a scream.
Dennis LP: 4000 → 3000
"Your monster has an effect that activates when it's destroyed, doesn't it? Unfortunate for you. Blackship of Corn's effect sends it directly to the Graveyard instead of destroying it. An effect that triggers on destruction can't be activated," Yūga Hōzumi said coldly.
"Battle! Utopia, attack Performapal Shadow Maker!"
"I activate Utopia's effect! When any player's monster declares an attack, I can detach one Xyz Material from this card to negate the attack! Moon Barrier!"
"At this moment, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Double or Nothing! When a monster's attack is negated, I can target that monster. It can make a second attack during this Battle Phase. If it does, its ATK is doubled during the Damage Step."
"Go, Utopia! Rising Sun Double Slash!"
Utopia raised its twin swords, brimming with energy, and brought them down in a single cleaving strike.
"I discard Performapal Damage Juggler from my hand to activate its effect! During either player's Battle Phase, I can discard this card to make the next battle damage I take this turn zero!"
The phantom of a juggling clown appeared before Dennis, shielding him from the aftershock of Utopia's attack.
"Gagaga Cowboy, attack the second Performapal Shadow Maker!"
Gagaga Cowboy looked at the paper-thin black silhouette before him, gave his gun a stylish twirl, and then fired two shots in quick succession.
"Gagaga Cowboy's effect! During the Damage Step, its ATK increases by 1000, and your monster's ATK decreases by 500!"
Gagaga Cowboy ATK: 1500 → 2500
Performapal Shadow Maker ATK: 2600 → 2100
The silver bullet pierced the dark paper silhouette and slammed into the ground in front of Dennis.
Dennis LP: 3000 → 2600
His cheek grazed by flying shrapnel, Dennis lost his composure. He frantically looked around, hoping to find an Action Card to save himself.
Just as Dennis spotted an Action Card nearby and went to grab it, Utopia's massive form landed in front of him, blocking his path.
"Where do you think you're going, Mr. Undercover Agent?" Yūga Hōzumi asked from his perch on Utopia's shoulder, looking down on him.
"It's over! Gagaga Samurai, attack him directly! Gale Double Slash!"
Gagaga Samurai flew before Dennis, slashing twice.
Dennis LP: 2600 → 700 → 0
"That was a clean and decisive victory!" the Announcer Uncle exclaimed in amazement.
Seeing Yūga Hōzumi decisively defeat the enemy, the crowd in the stadium erupted in cheers.
The duel ended. Yūga Hōzumi leaped down from Utopia's shoulder and approached the unconscious Dennis. Just as he was about to use his Duel Disk to turn him into a card, a call from Reiji Akaba came through.
"Don't be so quick to turn him into a card. Hand him over to me. As a spy, he's more valuable alive," Reiji Akaba said.
"He's my spoil of war," Yūga Hōzumi replied.
"Five thousand Xyz monsters, delivered with the other ten thousand after today's business is concluded," Reiji Akaba offered directly.
Yūga Hōzumi looked at the fallen, tattered form of Dennis. After a moment's thought, he pulled the deck from Dennis's Duel Disk and said to Reiji Akaba, "While you're at it, how about you make me a few Pendulum Monsters as well?"
"Fine," Reiji Akaba agreed with a nod.
"Then we have a deal. Send your people to come and get this guy," Yūga Hōzumi said with a smile.
