He thought about it and decided against it.
Regular guilds cannot start wars without reason.
As a Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, he absolutely couldn't do such a thing.
"Please, mayor, quickly pay her reward." Aux looked at the Mayor.
The latter said unwillingly, "I've already paid your reward; now quickly help me chase her away or get rid of her."
Aux had the right to refuse such an unreasonable request.
Anyway, he had already received his payment.
His willingness to stand here and speak politely was out of goodwill.
If he left, Juvia might just chop off the mayor head directly.
"Juvia's patience is very limited. Since the request has been completed, full payment is required." Juvia said.
She turned around and raised her palm.
A few drops of rain falling from the sky hovered in her palm.
Under her control, they transformed into slender needles, their tips pointed at the mayor, ready to be released at any moment.
The mayor trembled in fear, "I'll go back and get the money right now."
He absolutely hated these Mage Guilds.
They thought they could do whatever they wanted, relying on their power and strength.
Once this matter was over, he would definitely report them.
Soon after, the mayor returned with the money.
It was clear he didn't lack the funds to pay the reward; he probably just wanted to use his status to default on the payment earlier.
"Pitter-patter..."
Having recovered her rightful reward, Juvia, holding an umbrella, left the town step by step.
The dark clouds in the sky also slowly dispersed.
"The Magic Council will also be displeased with your unauthorized actions, Mayor."
"Remember, in this world, never owe a Mage money, or your life won't be safe."
The matter was resolved.
Aux warned the mayor repeatedly before leaving, lest he be so foolish as to try something like this again in the future.
If he encountered a short-tempered Mage, he might really lose his head.
The mayor expression kept changing.
But he didn't say anything more, silently turning and returning home.
"This mission was completed quite quickly. I should go see how Levy and the others are doing next door?" Aux muttered to himself.
Leaving the town.
Aux did not take a train to the next town, but instead applied a speed enchantment to himself.
He ran towards it on foot.
In fact, the train had to take several turns, but he could reach it directly on foot.
He arrived at the destination in half an hour.
But upon arriving, he noticed something was amiss ahead.
At the town gate.
Four or five soldiers armed with weapons guarded the gate, thoroughly inspecting passersby.
Normally, there shouldn't be a lockdown without a major incident.
But these people were exceptionally strict, not only checking luggage but even reaching out to pull at faces, checking if anyone was disguised.
Aux walked to the city gate with a doubt.
A soldier walked up to him and began to inspect him, pulling at his face, feeling his arms, looking at his clothes, and so on.
"Brothers, what's going on with our town? Why the sudden lockdown?"
Aux inquired while being inspected.
A soldier explained, "There's a blue-haired female Mage who entered the city, randomly stole things, and resisted arrest."
Blue hair?
Could this soldier be talking about Levy? But how could she do such a thing?
And where was her partner?
Aux was currently clueless, so he decided to enter the city first to see if he could find Levy and the other two.
He didn't hold out much hope.
The town was so big; how easy would it be to find three people?
After entering the city.
Aux wandered the streets, looking left and right, and occasionally walking down alleys.
But he still found nothing.
"Sigh... It's a coincidence, really. The thief didn't steal anything else, just a few steamed buns."
"You're right, a few apples were stolen from my shop."
"If that girl was hungry, she only needed to say so, and she would surely be fed. But she insisted on stealing."
"Not only did she steal from nobles, but she even stole from the Mayor."
"Now the whole city is under lockdown; how could she possibly escape?"
"..."
Passing by a place where middle-aged women were gathered.
He heard those women discussing, but the more Aux listened, the more confused he became.
All indications pointed to Levy being the one who stole things.
But there was no trace of Jet and Droy. Where did those two go?
Moreover, their mission had nothing to do with this.
He didn't understand.
He really didn't understand what they were doing.
He wandered around the city for a while longer but still found nothing, so he had to temporarily stay.
He searched from day to night.
Aux went out again on the second day. As he was about to check out, he saw the inn owner looking at him with a terrified expression.
He left the inn, bewildered.
But he ran into several soldiers holding papers, looking around.
The moment they saw Aux.
The soldiers first froze, then looked down at the papers, then back at him.
"Arrest him!"
Then an order was given.
The sudden turn of events stunned Aux. Without thinking, he turned and ran.
He broke through the soldiers' encirclement.
He grabbed a piece of paper and read it as he ran, and when he saw it, he was instantly dumbfounded.
A portrait of him was drawn on the paper.
Below it was written that he had robbed several families last night and behaved insultingly towards nobles.
City-wide manhunt!
Aux was utterly bewildered.
He was clearly sleeping last night. Could it be that he sleepwalked, got up, and looted indiscriminately in the city?
It seemed impossible no matter how he thought about it.
But what was the situation with this arrest warrant?
"Damn it." Aux cursed under his breath, "Could Levy, who stole things, be in the same situation as me?"
Aux ran and turned.
But the soldiers seemed to have a tracker on him.
No matter where he went, they could intercept him immediately. Fortunately, he had plenty of stamina and could jump from rooftop to rooftop.
"Surrender, you can't escape."
"Not only did you steal, but you also dared to insult nobles. No matter who you are, you'll go to jail."
"Just accept your punishment honestly."
"Continuing will only make your crime worse."
The group of soldiers even tried to persuade him to surrender.
Aux wasn't unwilling to accept judgment; it was that he couldn't understand the reason at all right now.
If he said he wasn't the one who stole things last night, how could he prove it wasn't him?
So he could only flee.
He would investigate first, then explain to everyone in the town.
He was chased for a long time, and in the end, having no other choice, he cast magic on himself.
He quickly jumped off the city wall.
He rushed into a nearby valley, finally getting a chance to catch his breath.
"What exactly is going on?"
Aux was completely baffled.
Why was he being wanted for no reason?
There was no place to explain, how did this situation even happen?
Frustrated, he couldn't enter the city at all.
He couldn't contact Levy and the others either, which left him completely confused.
