Chapter 38 - 38: Rain Girl, Juvia! Do you want to fight?

"That's a good idea."

"But what if, the moment he disperses the dark clouds, the hidden Mage immediately gathers them again, re-covering the entire town to make it rain?"

"In any case, let's solve this rain problem first. You are, after all, Mages of the Fairy Tail Guild. Surely you can't fail at something so trivial?"

The Mayor clearly recalled some unpleasant memory, and he wasn't going to speak directly, but instead used a condescending tone to give orders.

With his attitude, Aux really wanted to throw in the towel and leave.

Fortunately, he was currently representing the Fairy Tail Guild.

Maintaining ample patience, he left the Mayor's house with a forced smile and stood on the town's main road.

He had no way of sensing magic, and it would be very difficult to find the hidden Mage in such a large town.

The only solution for now was to use the most basic method.

That was to disperse the dark clouds and forcibly stop the rain.

This might be a bit difficult for other Mages, but for Aux, it was incredibly simple.

He stood on the main road, looking up at the sky, his right arm raised high, palm facing the sky.

"Enchantment Magic: Heat - Air!"

"Ding! Detected usage of Enchantment Magic. Infinite Addition has been upgraded to: Enchantment Magic: Heat - Air Lv. MAX."

A massive magic circle appeared.

Boom!

A terrifying, earth-shattering explosion resounded, and instantly all the residents of the town were shaken by the sound, experiencing ringing in their ears.

Even the Mayor was startled, his face pale, collapsing helplessly to the ground, staining his clothes with rain-soaked mud.

He looked at the sky in disbelief.

The terrifying explosion directly tore apart the dark clouds.

Azure sunlight streamed down from the sky, shining on all the residents, making them feel warm and almost sleepy.

"It's clear."

"Our town is finally no longer cursed; the blue sky has embraced us again."

"Although I like rainy days, too much is not good."

"The sun is finally out."

"It's been raining for days. I've felt a chill in my body, but today I can finally sunbathe."

"..."

The sky above the town was free of dark clouds.

The residents all left their homes, standing on the streets, embracing the sun.

Everyone's face was beaming with smiles.

It was clear that the ten days of rain had made the town's residents suffer immensely.

However, their joy didn't last long.

The sky suddenly filled with dark clouds again, so black and dense it felt like you could reach out and grab them.

This time, the dark clouds were even thicker.

Whoosh!

The next second, torrential rain poured down from the sky; this rain was even more violent and furious.

It was obvious that because the previous dark clouds had been torn apart, the hidden Mage had gotten angry.

Raindrops the size of soybeans pelted their bodies, causing waves of pain.

"Why is it raining again?" a resident shouted in anger.

More people quickly ran for cover, "We must have offended the heavens, otherwise why would we be tormented like this?"

Someone worried, "This rain isn't light. It won't take ten days; just a few hours will be enough to flood our town."

The residents all hid in their homes.

They looked at the sky, as if seeing an enraged rain god.

Even an elder knelt in the courtyard, begging for the heavens' forgiveness.

"Oh dear, what's wrong with these dark clouds?"

The Mayor felt a particular pain in his body.

He hurriedly ran under the eaves of a resident's house.

"Quickly use your move again to tear apart these dark clouds once more," the Mayor commanded.

Aux stood in the thick curtain of rain, pondering the recent situation.

The dark clouds had appeared suddenly.

So fast that he hadn't even noticed where the Mage was casting the spell.

"I advise you to explain the facts, otherwise even if I can continue to tear apart the dark clouds, it's only a temporary solution, not a permanent one. You can't possibly expect me to stay in your town forever, can you?" Aux warned.

The Mayor's face turned red with anger.

He gritted his teeth and said, "Phantom Lord, isn't it just a little money I owe those guys? Do they need to torment my town like this?"

So it was Phantom Lord.

Then the one hiding in the town making it rain was Juvia, the Rain Woman.

"Tell me in detail," Aux asked.

The Mayor gritted his teeth and explained, "About 15 days ago, a monster appeared outside our town. We posted a request for people from Phantom Lord to come and clear the monster."

"A blue-haired girl came. She quickly dealt with the beast, but I didn't have that much money, so I paid a little less."

"We agreed to pay the remaining money within three months, but I didn't expect them to be so shameless."

He gritted his teeth as he spoke of this.

Aux was not in the mood to deal with him at the moment; owing people money and still having the nerve to say such things.

"Given that your town has a history of defaulting on payments, now you should pay me for this request," Aux said.

The Mayor glared at him, "The request hasn't even been completed yet, and you dare to ask for money."

Aux continued, "Are you going to pay or not? If you don't, I'm leaving now. At this rate of heavy rain, your town will be flooded by tonight."

Anger, rage.

He was the Mayor of a town, and now he was being threatened by a mere Mage.

But he couldn't lash out.

"Hmph, you'd better solve this matter for me," the Mayor snorted coldly.

Braving the heavy rain, with his hands over his head, he rushed back into his house.

Moments later, he returned with a bag, handing over the remuneration for this request.

He counted the money; it was just right.

Aux once again aimed his palm at the sky, muttering to himself, just about to tear apart the dark clouds again.

Then he saw a girl approaching through the rain from a distance.

She had blue curly hair.

Her clothes were also blue.

Walking on the main street, she held an umbrella.

She was walking towards him step by step, slowly getting closer.

"Pitter-patter... Juvia is the Rain Woman; it rains wherever she goes."

"Good afternoon, esteemed Mage."

"Well then, goodbye."

Juvia, holding an umbrella, spoke.

She arrived in front of Aux, greeted him, and then walked past him, preparing to leave.

"Don't Mages from Phantom Lord usually fight when they see us from Fairy Tail?" Aux asked.

Juvia replied without stopping, "That's the self-serving behavior of other people in the Guild. Juvia has no interest in fighting with people from the Fairy Tail Guild."

"If you prevent Juvia from claiming her remuneration, then Juvia will not fight you either. She will go back and tell the Guild Master or tell Gajeel to come and fight you."

Very expectant!

Hearing Juvia's words, Aux almost moved to stop her from claiming her remuneration.

Then he would draw out the people from Phantom Lord for a big fight.

"How boring," Aux said with disappointment, "I thought I'd have a chance to spar with Phantom Lord's Four Elements ahead of time."

It seemed like a fight wouldn't happen in this situation.

Juvia clearly stated that she wouldn't fight him; as a gentleman, would he really force a spar?
