"Jin, for fuck's sake, just call him," he barked, his voice low but sharp. "Rin needs him. That's the only reason I'm standing here with you. Just pick up the phone."
I dragged my feet across the parking lot, arms crossed tightly, my hands shaking from a mix of adrenaline, fear, and anger. Woo Min's grip on my sleeve was ironclad, his jaw set like he was planning to shake me until some of his IQ became mine.
I shook my head violently. "No. Not ever. You can scream all you want, but I won't call that bastard. He won't get to be a part of this, at least not like this."
"Not ever? What kind of father are you if you're willing to let your kid suffer just to keep your pride intact? Hold on, what's the reverse psychology going on here! Why am I even insisting on this?" Woo Min's words cut deeper than he probably meant. I clenched my fists, willing the shaking in my body to stop.
