Yu Jin's POV
I should have known the universe hated me. Every time I told myself to breathe, something worse happened. And today, after the night I had, I really didn't have the strength for anything else.
Woo Min stood beside me, jaw tight, fist closed, eyes locked on the floor. His scent was already leaking a little, but still controlled. Sharp and heavy. Annoyed. I could feel it pricking at the edge of my skin, but not enough to knock me over yet.
"Just… let it go," I whispered. My voice cracked halfway through because everything inside me was shaking. I didn't want him to do something he'd regret. I didn't want myself to explode either. "Please, Woo Min. You'll kill him."
His head turned slowly to me, like he couldn't believe I was asking that of him.
"Yu Jin," he said, voice low, the dangerous kind of calm. "Don't ask me to let go of him."
And right at that exact second…
Ding.
The elevator door slid open.
My stomach dropped to the floor.
Park Min walked out.
