Chapter 100 - 100

Chapter 100: Best Friend

"Parker?" A hand landed on Little Spider's shoulder. He turned around, a look of pleasant surprise on his face: "Why are you here?"

Mo Fei smiled: "Last time I told you so clearly, did you confess to that big-eyed girl?"

"Not yet..."

"Damn it!" Mo Fei immediately whacked Little Spider on the head, enraged: "I told you so clearly, and you still don't dare to confess? Are you utterly useless?"

How much more do I, your uncle, have to worry about you?

"Let me finish..." Little Spider rubbed his head, looking at Mo Fei with a mournful expression: "Although I haven't confessed, I've already invited her to watch a movie."

"I think if I confessed to her now, the success rate would indeed be quite high, but I don't want to confess so plainly. I'm thinking of a more romantic way to confess."

"So that's it. You're not useless; you've had an epiphany!" Mo Fei nodded in satisfaction, patting Little Spider's shoulder: "It's your uncle... ahem, it's your brother who misunderstood you!"

"Speaking of which, why don't you help me think of something? You're experienced." Little Spider's eyes suddenly lit up.

Mo Fei: "..."

Who told you that your uncle is experienced? Don't talk nonsense; if your Aunt Mei heard it, I'd be dead!

Mo Fei didn't directly answer Little Spider but said earnestly: "This kind of thing is all about sincerity. Whether you do it well or not, how much effort you put in, a girl can tell. What's the point of someone else helping you think of it?"

"That makes a lot of sense." Little Spider nodded thoughtfully.

"Uncle, you weren't waiting too long, were you?"

Mo Fei had just finished filling Little Spider with a belly full of encouraging words when Mikayla, having finished catching up with her friend, walked over. He pinched her cheek and smiled: "No, I was having a very pleasant chat with student Parker!"

Then, under Little Spider's envious gaze, Mo Fei put his arm around Mikayla's slender waist and left.

"Uncle, let me introduce you to my friend."

Mo Fei was dragged by Mikayla into a circle of women.

"This is Jim, one of my best friends."

"This is Mo Fei, my boyfriend!"

Mikayla hooked her arm through Mo Fei's, smiling as she introduced them.

"Hello!" Mo Fei nodded with a smile, extending his hand to the blonde girl named Jim.

"Hello!" Jim smiled somewhat shyly, extending her hand to shake Mo Fei's.

Mo Fei, who had just had the chance to properly observe the girl, was a little stunned, because this girl named Jim bore a striking resemblance to Jean, especially her lively eyes, which were practically carved from the same mold as Jean's.

And the beginning of his and Jean's story started with their eyes.

Mo Fei highly suspected she was related to Jean!

"Uncle!" Mikayla, a little displeased, pinched the soft flesh on Mo Fei's arm, because Mo Fei's handshake had lasted too long; he wouldn't let go, causing Jim to look at Mikayla for help, which made Mikayla incredibly embarrassed!

She knew Mo Fei had a rich romantic history, but Uncle, you can't flirt with my best friend right in front of me, can you?

Is it that I, Mikayla, can't wield a knife, or have you, Uncle, gotten too big for your britches?

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Coming back to his senses, Mo Fei looked at Jim's forced smile, but with eyes already containing hidden anger, and quickly let go of her hand: "I zoned out!"

"Hey, handsome, aren't you a bit too bold? Doing this even in front of Mikayla?" The girl named Amanda, standing next to Jim, teased: "Even if our Jim is naturally beautiful and charming, you already have Mikayla. Do you still want to have two boats? If so, you're mistaken. Not touching a best friend's boyfriend is our principle for getting along. You have no chance. Cherish your Mikayla!"

Not touching a best friend's boyfriend is your principle?

I don't believe your nonsense!

Don't I know that stealing a best friend's boyfriend is basically the norm in your American high school life?

The ship of friendship sinks at a moment's notice, and a good man turns gay just as quickly. Do you think I'm joking?

How many best friends who grew up together ended up fighting so much over men that they almost came to blows, eventually becoming estranged for life?

"You misunderstood. I just think she looks a lot like a friend I know." Mo Fei explained.

"That's a terrible excuse! But looking at it this way, handsome, you probably don't have much experience flirting, do you?" Amanda made a face at Mo Fei, then said to Mikayla: "Then you've found a treasure! A man who can't say sweet nothings is definitely an honest man, a perfect match for you, Mikayla, who has never been in love!"

Honest man, my foot!

Your whole family are honest men!

Mo Fei grumbled inwardly.

"Yes, Uncle is usually very honest. He never ambiguously flirts with other women behind my back, and he never keeps any little secrets from me." Mikayla smiled sweetly at Mo Fei: "Isn't that right, Uncle?"

"This... hehe... haha..."

Seeing Mo Fei's evasive laughter and refusal to answer directly, Mikayla snorted inwardly. Others might not know her Uncle's true nature, but how could she, Mikayla, not know?

He was a complete Dumas!

Brian had already told her all about Mo Fei's history of girlfriends from childhood, as told by Mia, and had earnestly advised her to just break up with him. Her innocent little cabbage, who had never been in love, would easily suffer if she dated a Dumas.

"No, you really misunderstood. I'm not lying to you!" Being pinched painfully on the soft flesh of his waist by Mikayla, Mo Fei quickly changed the subject: "This friend of mine is called Jean Grey, and she also has a Dr. from Columbia University. She looks extremely similar to Jim!"

"I don't believe it..." Amanda immediately exclaimed.

"Jean Grey?" Jim looked at Mo Fei curiously: "He doesn't seem to be lying. My aunt is named Jean Grey, and she also has a Dr. from Columbia University!"

"Jean is your aunt? That's quite a coincidence! I'm a good friend of hers; we even contacted each other a couple of days ago!" Mo Fei smiled: "I knew it! How could two people be so similar if they weren't related?"

With the connection between Mo Fei and Jim's aunt, their relationship instantly became much closer. As for the initial misunderstanding, it had long been thrown to the winds.

Mikayla watched Mo Fei and Jim chatting intimately about matters concerning that Jean Grey, and a sense of unease filled her. She gritted her teeth and forcefully pulled Mo Fei away.

"What's wrong?" Mo Fei looked blankly at Mikayla, whose expression wasn't good. You're not going to be jealous just because I chatted with a little girl, are you?

"Uncle, tell me honestly, is this Jean Grey one of your ex-girlfriends?" Mikayla's foxy, alluring little face was filled with suspicion: "You're chatting so animatedly with Jim right now, are you harboring some sordid thoughts of having both the aunt and the niece?"

Mo Fei: "..."
