Kael and Hagrid were talking, and Conna was standing nearby with a completely bewildered expression.
Who am I, what am I doing here, what are they talking about?
Weren't they talking about the dog's loss of appetite? How did the Three-Headed Dog come up suddenly?
And what is a Three-Headed Dog, anyway? A dog with three heads? But there's none in this room.
"Kael..." Taking advantage of Hagrid's moment of deep thought, Conna quickly asked her question, "What were you guys talking about earlier?"
However, Kael didn't directly answer her question but instead looked at Hagrid and hinted, "Take it out already, don't hide. I'm not a professional vet; I have to see what's going on with my own eyes."
"I didn't..." Hagrid tried to resist, but thinking about Fluffy's recent condition, he sighed and said, "Alright, just make sure you don't tell anyone."
"Of course." Kael nodded, "I swear on Cedric's honor."
Hagrid didn't clearly hear what Kael said, feeling complex emotions, and got up and walked out of the room.
But Conna heard it.
"Why do you swear on Cedric's honor?" the little witch asked in confusion.
"Don't mind the details." Kael waved his hand, "If I had my own, I'd definitely use mine."
Conna didn't say anything, silently shifting a bit to the side.
Hagrid quickly returned, indicating that where he hid Fluffy wasn't far from there.
Back in the cabin, Hagrid first drew the curtains, then lifted the mole-skin coat draped over his arm, revealing Fluffy hidden inside.
At this moment, Fluffy was about the size of a cow. After realizing it had been brought back into this narrow room, it quickly drooped its head, lying on the ground without moving.
Conna was startled; she didn't expect Hagrid to bring back a big dog with three heads, and it looked so... ugly!
The appearance of the Three-Headed Dog was as distinctive as other large beasts in the Magic Realm - uniquely ugly.
This was naturally also true for Fluffy, its large mouth full of sharp teeth took up almost half of its entire head, and the flesh near its nose was folded up like a washboard.
"Could the Three-Headed Dog have Shar Pei blood?"
Kael scratched his head, somewhat uncertainly thought.
After all, he had never seen a Three-Headed Dog before; Newt's suitcase was magical, but it didn't have everything.
In fact, even in Greece, a Three-Headed Dog is a rare magical animal, its rarity comparable to that of a Basilisk.
Kael was sure that whoever sold it to Hagrid was definitely an outsider.
"Luck must be on our side." Kael couldn't help but pat Fluffy's adorably ugly dog head.
Fluffy's fur was stiff, feeling like brushing an old shoe brush.
Not as good as Fang's.
The little fellow was quite fierce, snapping at Kael's hand after realizing its head was being patted.
After dodging, Kael lightly patted its middle head, "Don't act up, I'll give you something tasty in a bit."
Fluffy immediately quieted down, giving a couple of "woof" sounds to Kael.
"How about some Murtlap dried meat?" Kael thought for a moment and said, "It's more chewy than beef; you'd probably like it."
"Woof woof..."
"Thirty pieces?" Kael frowned, "No way, that's too much. I only have nine pieces; you three have to share equally."
While Kael was haggling with Fluffy, Hagrid, witnessing this, was wide-eyed, looking from Fluffy to Kael in disbelief, "Mr. Scamander taught you even this?"
Kael just smiled, not saying anything.
In the Magic Realm, many people knew that Chris could talk with Fantastic Beasts, but Chris's explanation to the outside world was "Mr. Scamander taught me."
Because Newt never publicly denied it, people naturally believed this explanation.
In their view, Newt Scamander, being the greatest Master of Fantastic Beasts of the century, having skills others don't would be perfectly normal.
Only a very few people knew the truth, like the Weasleys, the Newts, and maybe Dumbledore... scratch that, unverified.
And among these people, Hagrid was clearly not included.
"Merlin's beard, it seems Mr. Scamander really thinks highly of you." Hagrid said with a tinge of envy, "I've begged him for a long time, but he never agreed to teach me how to converse with magical creatures."
"It's just a little trick, Hagrid." Kael took out Murtlap dried meat to feed Fluffy, smiling, "I believe even if you can't understand what it's saying, you can definitely figure out what it means."
"Yes, I can." Hagrid said proudly, "I always know what Fluffy wants, and he understands me. He was so mischievous when he was little, but every time I sang, he would fall asleep."
To prove he wasn't lying, Hagrid demonstrated by gently patting Fluffy and singing.
Then Kael clearly heard Fluffy's words.
"There it goes again, my head hurts..."
"Hurry up and sleep; once asleep, it'll stop..."
"Sleep, quickly!"
Fluffy's three heads simultaneously closed their eyes, and within seconds started to snore, indicating a well-practiced routine.
"Look, he's asleep now," Hagrid said happily.
Kael chuckled dryly, looked at Hagrid's happy expression, and thought better of telling the truth, instead bringing up the previous topic again.
"It's really grown, Hagrid." Kael said, stroking Fluffy's head. "You've noticed too, right? Since entering the room, it's been quite downcast; you have to put it in the Forbidden Forest as soon as possible."
"I know, but I'm worried..." Hagrid said despondently, "Fluffy is still so small, what would happen without my care?"
Kael raised an eyebrow, thinking Hagrid should be more concerned about the other creatures in the Forbidden Forest.
Hagrid's gaze faltered slightly, continuing, "And if it were in the Forbidden Forest, Dumbledore might see it. What if he sends Fluffy away?"
"Then take it further, deeper into the Forbidden Forest," Kael suggested. "Don't forget, these are special times; the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic have been investigating magical creatures of unknown origin. It's better for Dumbledore to discover it than them."
"That Greek guy isn't working with them," Hagrid said passionately, face flushed. "I've checked; he's not in the photos released by the Ministry of Magic."
"But the Aurors won't care about that," Kael said calmly. "They're concerned about the fact that you bought an unknown-origin Three-Headed Dog right before they captured those people."
