"Although I've never drunk it, I've heard from others that once you drink it, you'll feel a chilling coldness all over, and your body will feel weak!"
"Understood." Naoki was enlightened internally.
He reached out and took the tray, examining the Sinistea and Polteageist on it.
The tea liquid of Sinistea had a swirling pattern, and it was hard to tell where its eyes were.
But judging from its slightly swaying body, it seemed capable of sensing its surroundings.
Polteageist, on the other hand, was much more straightforward.
It seemed to be aware that the tray had changed hands, and immediately used its head to cautiously lift the lid, creating a narrow gap to secretly observe the surroundings.
Naoki once again locked eyes with it.
The next second, Polteageist shrank back into the teapot.
This scene reminded one of a hermit crab.
Speaking of which, the ecology of these two Pokemon really is similar to hermit crabs.
They also crawl into teapots and teacups from elsewhere.
For example, when Sinistea evolves into Polteageist, it crawls from an antique teacup into an antique teapot, and then transforms into Polteageist.
Many wild Sinistea and Polteageist blend into the piles of tableware in hotels and restaurants, living in a mimicking manner.
"Amazing." Unable to resist, Naoki commented on this.
It's unclear whether Sinistea and Polteageist becoming such because they crawled into the teaware, or if this is simply their natural names.
So the question arises, what happens if the purple liquid accidentally crawls into the toilet?
"It is quite amazing." Mike nodded in agreement, "These antique teapots and tableware were collections my grandfather gathered from various places. Originally kept well in the warehouse, suddenly, one day, these two Pokemon appeared out of nowhere, sneaked inside, and merged with the teacup and teapot."
"The first time I went to inventory the antiques in the warehouse to sell them, I was scared by them! Later, seeing they were harmless, I let them reside inside."
"What's even more incredible is, they can survive even without eating anything at all!"
At this moment, a woman in uniform walked over with a machine in her arms.
She placed the machine on the table and said to Mike, "Boss, here's the microscope you requested!"
"Great, thank you, you can carry on now!" Mike waved his hand, then gestured to Naoki to place the Sinistea under it.
Naoki complied, putting Sinistea under the microscope.
Mike operated the microscope while explaining:
"The teacups used as residences by Sinistea and Polteageist are renowned antique tableware. There are many replicas on the market, but unlike real antiques, replicas lack the identifying marks on the bottom."
"This is a primary method enthusiasts use to authenticate Sinistea and Polteageist. Some collectors even prepare elaborate teacups and red tea beforehand, all in anticipation of Sinistea possessing them. Come have a look!"
Naoki leaned forward and looked through the microscope, and sure enough, he saw a mark resembling a signature on the bottom of the cup.
This mark confirmed the authenticity of the Sinistea.
Mike hadn't hoodwinked him with a fake.
"Do you see it?" Mike asked.
Naoki nodded.
"This is..." Mike started to say more, but suddenly noticed Polteageist, taking advantage of their distraction, using its head to lift the lid, sprouting small purple legs, and jumping off the table.
Mike was startled, quickly saying, "Polteageist's escaped with legs!"
Naoki quickly turned to look.
Hearing this, Polteageist hastily accelerated its little legs.
The lid wobbled like a hat atop its head, blurring its vision.
Suddenly, Polteageist bumped into a furry body, the sudden contact causing its tea-like body to shake violently.
Polteageist immediately felt dizzy; once it calmed down, it noticed a figure standing before it.
Polteageist looked up, seeing a Pokemon with a large head, majestic posture, and dignified gaze looking down at it.
Startled, Polteageist quickly used "Shell Smash," its lid ringing as it sealed the teapot beneath it.
