ADANNA POV (Point of view)
The train shuddered beneath us, metal groaned, and the wheels screeched loudly against the tracks as the entire freight line slowed unnaturally fast.
Cold fear slid down my spine.
"That's not normal," Darian said.
"No," I whispered.
Inside my mind, the Eden interface flickered again, the blue symbols that usually guided me were unstable now... glitching, distorting, as if something was interfering with them.
Then a second signal appeared, it was not Eden, it was different, sharp, cold, and watching.
My breath caught.
"Darian…"
"What do you see?"
"A new system."
His jaw tightened.
"Which one?"
"I don't know yet."
But even as I said it, the name surfaced inside my mind like something forcing its way through the interface..... a single word....
Astra.

My stomach dropped the moment she said it.
"Astra?"
Adanna looked up at me.
"You know it?"
