Chapter 1 - Chapter 0

His eyes opened softly, glancing around. Beside him, she was lying there, peacefully asleep. The light shone gently upon her beautiful face. He leaned in, kissed her forehead lightly, and whispered, "Good morning."

He stepped down from the bed, moving slowly and softly so as not to wake her. The round doorknob was gently twisted, and he exited the room. On the bare table, he carefully placed the delicious dishes, a look of pure happiness on his face.

The warm morning light gently warmed her body. Her eyelids fluttered slightly after hearing his voice: "Bạch Linh, wake up for breakfast, my dear."

She softly opened her eyes, still slightly drowsy. She rubbed her eyes and replied in a voice still heavy with sleep, "Huh? Is it morning already? Wait a minute."

After saying that, she gently lay back down and closed her eyes to sleep again. He lightly shook her soft body, his voice gentle and warm: "If you don't eat, I'll finish all your egg fried rice."

She shot up and replied, "No way, that's my egg fried rice."

With a smile on his face, he said, "You finally decided to wake up, didn't you? I wouldn't really eat all your egg fried rice."

Bạch Linh sat on the bed, folding the large blanket neatly. Seeing that her hair was slightly messy, he picked up the comb from the wooden drawer beside the bed. He approached and gently combed her slightly tangled hair.

She smiled softly and said, "Thank you."

He gently replied, "It's nothing."

She was in the bathroom, warm streams of water softly running down every corner of her body, making her soft, white skin lightly flush red. The water stopped. She gently used a white towel to dry herself. After drying, she slowly pulled up a clean white pair of panties. She hooked the white bra clasp with gentle movements. A T-shirt with a phoenix spreading its wings printed in the center was pulled on, hugging her figure.

She gently slid the glass door aside and stepped out of the bathroom. She softly pulled out the wooden chair and sat down, reaching out to take the spoon he offered, smiling as she said, "Thank you."

Spoonfuls of rice went into her mouth gently, the plump grains crushed within her oral cavity, then softly swallowed down into her stomach. She smiled softly and said, "Your cooking has gotten better, Thành."

His face lightly flushed red, and he said awkwardly, "Really? As long as you find it tasty, that's what matters."

She chewed, covering her mouth as she giggled and said, "You, you know... I only just gave you a small compliment... cough, cough."

Seeing her choke on the rice, he immediately poured a glass of water and handed it to her. He rubbed her back and said, "You, swallow it first before you talk."

"Ah, thanks! You just saved my life again, Thành. Otherwise, I would have choked to death."

As she spoke, she playfully stuck out her tongue in a cute way.

Hearing that, he gently patted her back twice and said in a soft, deep voice, "You know, keeping this habit is not good. What if I wasn't here and you choked to death?"

Holding the glass of water, she pretended to drink while speaking, making her voice echo, "But you are here, so I'm not afraid."

He just chuckled, shaking his head, and said, "You really are hopeless. Let's eat quickly so we can go out and have some fun."

She replied enthusiastically, "Okay, let's eat fast!"

"Aren't you wearing pants?" "Huh? I am wearing panties, though?"

He gently pulled the zipper of her white dress up the back. The white cloud in the sky was torn in half. We sat on the green grass, gazing up at the high blue sky, with large white clouds drifting lazily.

"What are you spacing out about, Thành?"

I smiled softly, stood up, and replied to her question, "Just observing."

A young man sat still, leaning his head against a cave wall. Above his head, a creature like a blue cap was emitting gentle, blue light bursts. The young man's eyes were closed as if sleeping. A shadow figure approached him, sat down beside him, and gently placed a rotting head in the young man's lap, laughing as it said, "How did you lose the one you love? Thành, is this success or failure for you? What do you think?"

On the bustling street, he and she walked leisurely step by step on the gray-tiled road. She turned her head, looking around both sides of the street: the tall glass skyscrapers, the eye-catching fashion stores, along with restaurants and sidewalk eateries inviting passing customers. Her eyes briefly looked towards two panda mascots jumping in front of a new steamed bun shop. She smiled lightly at him, pointed at the shop, and said, "Looks like a new steamed bun place opened up, let's go eat there, Thành."

He gently nodded, and they both walked towards it. I walked step by step on the porcelain tile floor of the hospital. I walked towards patient room 104. Standing in front of the sliding door of the room, I hesitated slightly, then forcefully pulled it open. Before my eyes was a simple white patient room. Beside the open window, she was lying there, deeply asleep. I tried to close the door as softly as possible so she wouldn't wake up. I walked up to her, placed the bag of panda-shaped steamed buns on the table, and sat down on the edge of the bed. A gentle breeze blew in, bringing a cold chill. When the wind stopped, it left a few strands of hair lingering on her face. Perhaps it tickled her, making her face wrinkle like an old woman. Seeing this, I smiled softly and used my hand to move those strands of hair away from her face.

She gently bit into a panda-shaped steamed bun, a happy smile blooming on her face. She chewed and said, "The bun is so delicious, you should eat..." Before she could finish, he stopped her with a gesture to be quiet. He gently said, "Finish eating first before you talk. Watch out for choking."

He handed her a glass of sugarcane juice. She swallowed, took a sip of the juice, and said, "I know, but you eat too, I can't finish all of it alone."

As she spoke, she offered him the bun she took out of the panda-printed paper bag. She gently said, "You eat."

Seeing this, he took the bun from her hand and took a bite. He chewed and said, "Thank you."

"Hey, should we go play in that field of grass, Thành?" I gently shook my head and murmured, "I heard that voice again. I thought I already took the mind-control medicine the doctor prescribed."
