Chapter 68 - Chapter 67: Emotions, Orphanage.

After 2 weeks, Yoichi finally was sent into the Uchiha Compound without any problems. Apart from that, Kohaku simply provided an official statement gathered over 3 days to Hiruzen and the Councilors.

Even though he earnestly submitted the report, fabricating lies and mixing the truth left the Hokage unable to truly appreciate this directive with Uchiha's overprotectiveness and cohesion.

As for Yoichi, he was set free from the temporary settlement and lived together with Naoko's family while his progress became steadily stagnated due to the lack of Qi-Blood Pills.

Either way, with or without his resources available right now, his diligent practice thoroughly went arduous and even seriously injuring himself in the process, but he wasn't the type to succumb into the pain.

"That's Yoichi, right? Don't get into his bad side or else you'll definitely be like Masanori!"

"What a bummer! I'm already nearing to finish my hand seals. If not for this brute's strength, I'll certainly beat him!"

"Precisely... Let's leave and remind the others to avoid the training grounds for now."

Over 3 days, the Uchiha children decided to collectively mock or insult him such as a Kumogakure Bastard and Brute, labeling him with discrimination and contempt in their eyes.

However, in Yoichi's case, such scorns hadn't registered into his mind. Besides, these verbal ridicule wasn't as big of a deal as the infinitely worse spectacle in the hands of Amegakure.

All alone in the training grounds, Yoichi felt peace and solitude, training both his mind and body with the near breakthrough of Heavenly Demon Posture.

As series of punches, kicks, and postures whizzed along the wind, exerting force with concentration.

Numerous calluses with blood staining his wrapped hands and feet in bandages, hideous scars in his arms along with his unique profile made the bystanders feel a relatively stable temperament despite his messy and frail figure.

"Mother, I'm home!"

"Mhm, change your clothes and get ready. The lunch will be here soon."

After his training practice, Yoichi returned to the home with a smile on his face but Naoko didn't even stared at him, focusing on cooking the lunch.

In these 2 weeks, the family house Yoichi came into felt warm and fuzzy with Nobuyuki's optimism in addition to his shy but extremely curious little brother, Akira.

Both of them truly appreciated and welcomed Yoichi with vast difference between them. In fact, Nobuyuki and Akira felt ecstatic to accept Yoichi's flaws even though both of their approach varied.

"Did you notice any different feeling from Mother, Akira?" Yoichi asked.

"I don't know, Brother... Why don't you try and ask her?" Akira replied.

"Alright, I'll give it a go." Yoichi's obsidian eyes radiantly shone and then crept toward Naoko in the kitchen.

"Wow! You really surprised me! What are you doing here, Yoichi?" Hugged by a child's arms, Naoko glanced at Yoichi with a hint of surprise, almost jumping in shock.

"Mother, are you doing alright? I'm just worried if you are sick or something..." Snuggling deeper into her embrace, Yoichi felt a fuzzy sensation and flashed a concerned expression on his face.

"No no, I'm just tired from my workplace. Be a good boy and go back in the dining room, okay?" Hearing Yoichi's apprehension, Naoko couldn't help but feel the worry in her child's look. However, a hint of disgust soon enveloped within her heart, giving the child a cold shoulder.

At this point, she was extremely conflicted by her inner emotions. Due to her horrendous past, each look at the child felt like her own foolish failure in the past caught him into a tumultuous series of sentiments.

Is there really something going on?

Soon, the lunch came in but the same mood remained uncomfortable and lifeless at the same time as if some one died. On the side, Akira wanted to spice things up but he lowered his head once Naoko glared at him sternly.

"... I'm going back to training." With a dejected look on his face, Yoichi slowly walked out after eating in a detached vibe within the house.

Naoko bit her lips and clasped her fist tightly until she shook her head, doing the regular chores before going back to the hospital.

Although Naoko calmed down, the turmoil within her heart intensified even deeper and stronger; each time she endured her feelings felt like an eternity of torture, slowly breaking her sanity one by one.

"I'm sure there's more into it that I never hadn't experienced before... I truly hope it won't be the case."

After going out of the Uchiha Compound, Yoichi then went into the orphanage to visit his acquaintance, Raku. Without any kind of things to do, he'd rather explore the places first before trying to settle and practice.

Environment and background matters a lot since he wasn't that familiar with the customs as well as the true layout of the village. From the Hospital, Ninja Academy, Hokage Rock, Konoha Police Force, to the orphanage, Yoichi slowly learned the directions before a yelling sound came into his ears.

"Jiraiya! You again?!!! Didn't I said that you are not allowed to get out of the orphanage?!"

Soon, a raspy voice reverberated throughout the orphanage, pinching the ear of a white and spiky haired boy.

"I swear I didn't do it! Please, believe me! Caretaker!" The white haired boy with red lines underneath his eyes pleaded with a sheepish smile on his face.

It's gotta be Jiraiya... I mean the old man literally said it in a heartbeat.

Upon seeing the ruckus, Yoichi reached the place and said, "Hello, I would like to ask if Raku's been here..."

Looking at the newcomer, the caretaker wanted to reply until the Jiraiya's optimistic voice resounded, "Ohhhh, you are Raku's friend? You are very much welcome here. My name is Jiraiya and I can take you to him!"

Hearing Jiraiya's knowing behavior, the caretaker butted in, "Go on and entertain our visitor. We'll talk about this later, do you hear me?"

Jiraiya merely nodded yet he hid at the back of Yoichi, peeking at the caretaker with a mischievous smile.

"Haaahh... Make yourselves at home."

Caretaker then went into the orphanage, sighing and shaking his head. The old man certainly knew Yoichi's background and didn't intervene, allowing the two to mingle easily after they went into the huge building.

"Hahaha! That old man is indeed strict. You're Yoichi, right? Raku's been telling you for all of the time. My friend is also your friend!" Soon, the cheerful and talkative Jiraiya blabbered alot of things that made Yoichi's eyebrows twitch as a result.

"... Can you calm down for a bit? I'm a little overwhelmed by your... Hospitality." Yoichi responded and stared blankly at Jiraiya.

"Oh well, we hadn't have a visitor for a long time so you get it... By the way, what type of girl do you like?" After scratching his head in shame, Jiraiya threw another curveball question and flashed with lascivious smile.

It appears to me that Jiraiya was very chatty than I thought he would be...

"Hmmm... That's a great question. I typically like girls with big... You know." Entertaining Jiraiya's answer, Yoichi declared out with spirit of a cultured man, emanating from him.

"Hahaha... Great minds alike. We should hang out for a while soon!" As if he found his true companion, Jiraiya draped over his arms over Yoichi's shoulder and sauntered through the hallway.

As they went into the courtyard, Yoichi easily spotted a child with a long hair, seemingly appreciating a little white snake coiling in his arms and hidden behind the shade of a huge tree.

"Do you know that boy?" Yoichi pointed at the kid's direction with some speculation in his mind.

"Oh, that kid? Forget it. He's Orochimaru and seldomly socializing due to his parents death..." Jiraiya couldn't help but lower his head in depression until he quickly shook his head, removing negative thoughts in his mind.

He was also an orphan like Orochimaru but he didn't even learned his parents name or surname. However, he remained as sunny as the sunlight. From his perspective, he wanted someone to be his friends and wasn't totally into the sadness.

One orphanage with two of the Sannin... What a line-up!

"Raku! We are here!" Interrupted by Jiraiya's boisterous voice, Yoichi noticed Raku slowly jogging forward into them with a smile on his face.

I made Jiraiya just like his older counterpart. It feels too different but they are still children at this point. So it's kinda logical to think Jiraiya was like a sun with perverted thoughts while Orochimaru was still in his depression where his parents died.

I mean, both of them were kinda similar to the sun and the moon.
