I couldn't focus.
Adrien was at the table coordinating final media contacts, his laptop open, phone pressed to his ear. He looked energized, purposeful. Ready to finally take down Brighton.
And all I could think about was Damien's hands on my skin. The way he'd whispered my name. The desperate intensity of what we'd done just hours ago.
"Elena?" Adrien's voice broke through my spiral. "Did you hear me?"
