Chapter 185 - Chapter 184: The Improper Great Sword

The next day.

Because she had trained so late last night, Tang Yue was still sound asleep.

Song Jie didn't disturb her. He quietly left the bedroom, packed his luggage, and departed from the residence.

He took a taxi to the airport, waited for a while, and soon boarded his flight.

Back in Magic City, Song Jie returned to his rented apartment. Mu Nujiao and Ai Tutu had already come back.

The moment he saw Ai Tutu, his eyes narrowed slightly. He still remembered — that girl owed him a big massage.

And in a maid outfit, no less.

Ai Tutu was getting a drink from the fridge. When she saw Song Jie, her face froze, and she gave an awkward smile.

The more triumphant she had been when she left before, the more she wanted to run away now that she saw him again.

"You're back?" Mu Nujiao greeted with a gentle smile.

"I'm back," Song Jie replied, putting down his luggage and sitting beside her.

Ai Tutu didn't dare stay a second longer. She grabbed her drink and bolted upstairs.

Seeing Ai Tutu flee, Mu Nujiao quietly sighed in relief — because Song Jie was already up to no good.

"Song Jie…" Mu Nujiao's voice softened as his hand slipped around her waist.

"Haven't seen you in so long. Did you miss me?" Song Jie asked with a teasing grin, like a wolf spotting its prey.

"I did…" Mu Nujiao admitted, her cheeks flushed red.

"Then come here. Give me a kiss."

Before she could respond, Song Jie leaned in, and their lips met.

"Mmm—!"

After a long kiss, Mu Nujiao shyly pushed him away. "Tutu is still here…"

"Then let's go to my room."

"Ah!?"

Before she could react, Song Jie flashed a mischievous grin, picked her up, and carried her into his room.

Mu Nujiao, flustered and embarrassed, didn't resist and simply let him carry her away.

The sound of the door closing echoed, followed by soft, muffled voices.

"The soundproofing in this place isn't great, Jiao Jiao. Try not to be too loud…"

"Song Jie…"

Her voice trembled with embarrassment.

"Mmm—!"

In the room, Mu Nujiao covered her mouth tightly, trying not to make a sound.

"So cute…"

"Mmm…!"

By afternoon, Song Jie and Mu Nujiao finally rested.

Later, he arrived at Dean Xiao's office, with Mo Fan joining him.

"Brother Jie!" Mo Fan greeted cheerfully.

Song Jie nodded, and together they entered the office.

Dean Xiao smiled when he saw them. "Sit down, both of you."

"Dean Xiao, did you need us for something?" Mo Fan asked.

"You've heard of the World College Tournament, haven't you?" Dean Xiao got straight to the point.

"The World College Tournament?" Mo Fan frowned, confused.

Song Jie knew what it was but kept quiet, nodding along with Mo Fan.

Dean Xiao chuckled. "You two really are something…"

Then, he explained the details.

The World College Tournament, as the name suggested, was a grand competition involving schools from around the world.

It was held once every four years, and the winning team would receive incredible rewards — including God's Seal Blessing, an extraordinary divine boon capable of amplifying a mage's magic power.

"Both of your strengths are quite good. I'll do my best to support you," Dean Xiao said warmly.

"Thank you, Dean Xiao!" both of them replied in unison.

Dean Xiao nodded approvingly. "You must raise your strength as quickly as possible. If you can represent the country, make sure to bring glory to it."

"Yes!" they both agreed firmly.

"Alright, that's all I wanted to say. You may go now."

Dean Xiao had simply called them in to emphasize the importance of the tournament and inspire them to push harder.

Song Jie left the office soon after, while Mo Fan stayed behind to discuss his Element Transfer with Dean Xiao.

As Song Jie stepped out of the building, a faint smile appeared on his face.

"The World College Tournament, huh? Sounds exciting."

With his current strength, he was confident he could sweep through the competition — though he reminded himself to stay humble.

Still, the thought of God's Seal Blessing stirred his heart. With that kind of divine enhancement, his magic power would soar to an entirely new level.

A grin crept across his lips at the thought.

Song Jie didn't head home immediately. Instead, he went to a nearby auction house.

He planned to buy a Galaxy Vein, since his Light Element was close to breaking through.

With one, the advancement would be much smoother.

After selling the Commander-level essence orb earlier, he had earned a massive eight hundred million!

Buying a Galaxy Vein was nothing to him now.

He soon spent a hundred million on one and picked up some auxiliary materials for controlling Star Seeds before returning home.

Mu Nujiao told him she would be focusing on cultivation for Challenge Week, so she planned to stay in seclusion.

Song Jie decided to visit Dean Xiao the next day to request access to the Three Step Tower, then focus on advancing his Light Element to the Advanced Level.

When he came home that night, he saw Ai Tutu sneaking snacks from the fridge.

The moment she saw him, her expression froze — then she turned to run.

Song Jie caught her easily.

"Running away? Trying to dodge your debt?" he asked with a teasing smile.

"H-how could I? I've just been busy cultivating!" Ai Tutu stammered.

"You're participating in Challenge Week too?" he asked.

Ai Tutu nodded quickly. "Yes! I'll definitely fulfill my promise after Challenge Week!"

"You said it. If you go back on your word, I'll show you how 'formidable' I can be." Song Jie smirked playfully.

Ai Tutu nodded furiously, grabbed her drink, and dashed upstairs.

Song Jie wasn't in a hurry. After all, they lived under the same roof — where could she possibly go?

Besides, he'd be cultivating in the Three Step Tower soon. By the time he was done, that massage would be right on schedule.

In her room, Ai Tutu slammed the door shut and pressed a hand over her chest, her heart pounding.

Just thinking about the maid outfit and the "big massage" made her cheeks flush bright red.

She had looked up what a "big massage" entailed out of curiosity… and what she found left her speechless.

So many extra services…

Suddenly, she didn't want to give Song Jie that massage anymore.

She was terrified he'd ask for that kind of "Ice and Fire Double Heaven" experience — how embarrassing!

Of course, Song Jie had meant nothing of the sort. He just wanted a simple massage.

But Ai Tutu's imagination had already gone wild…

The next morning.

Song Jie found Dean Xiao and submitted his request to cultivate in the Three Step Tower.

After getting approval, he entered the tower and sat cross-legged on the third floor.

Closing his eyes, he focused his mind, preparing to break through to the Advanced Level Light Element.

If time allowed, he would even cultivate his Chaos Element afterward.

Though his cultivation speed here was slower than before, it was still far faster than anywhere outside.

Inside his spiritual world, Song Jie's Light Element nebula expanded rapidly — reaching its critical point…
