But Itsuki suddenly sneered, his expression cold. "Sometimes, in the face of absolute strength, no number of schemes or tricks can matter. Kabuto, you underestimate me."
In the next moment, his black pupils bled into scarlet, three tomoe spinning in each eye.
"This… this is…" Kabuto's face paled with horror.
His consciousness was forcefully expelled from Mito's body. The same happened to Kushina.
At the same time, Orochimaru—the true caster observing from the rooftop—stiffened, losing control over both reanimated kunoichi.
"Sharingan?!" Orochimaru exclaimed in shock. "Itsuki actually possesses the Sharingan?!"
The Third Hokage, still being pursued by the reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama, heard Orochimaru's cry.
Itsuki awakened the Sharingan?
Even Hiruzen didn't know this. But he knew Itsuki's true lineage.
He had discovered long ago that Itsuki's mother was from the Uchiha clan—but he erased all records of it.
That information could never be leaked. Danzo shared the same thought.
He deliberately told Orochimaru that Itsuki had Wood Release and claimed him to be a distant descendant of Tobirama, while concealing his Uchiha bloodline.
Thus, Orochimaru believed Itsuki only carried Uzumaki blood—but not Uchiha.
Now, Itsuki had fully grown up. The Third no longer needed to keep the secret.
"It seems you've suffered greatly because of him," Hiruzen said with a grim smile.
"Itsuki's talent is the most outstanding I have ever seen. Not only does he surpass you when you were young, Orochimaru—he surpasses even the Fourth Hokage, who was once praised as the greatest."
"One day, Itsuki will become the true pillar of the village. Even if you achieve your goal today, you will ultimately be defeated by him. I have no doubt of this!"
"You old bastard!" Orochimaru's eyes reddened in rage—but deep down, he felt sorrow.
He had never once received such praise from Hiruzen. Back then, it was always Namikaze Minato. Now, it was Itsuki. Why?!
He was the old man's direct disciple, yet always overlooked, always rejected.
The Third Hokage pressed further, twisting the knife. "Itsuki is the future of this village. He embodies the Will of Fire. Though young now, he will soon grow into a towering tree. With him, I can face the future of Konoha with confidence."
"Shut up!!" Orochimaru roared. "You old fool! Do you still have the strength to prattle on?! If you can endure this much, then I'll just increase the pressure!"
He forced Tobirama to unleash a massive Water Release: Sea Formation.
Hiruzen barely blocked it before Hashirama followed with Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence, overwhelming him and nearly ending his life.
In the forests behind Konoha, Itsuki's Sharingan expelled the consciousness of Kabuto and Orochimaru.
Mito and Kushina's eyes cleared as they regained themselves.
But both were visibly shocked to see Itsuki wielding the Sharingan.
"Lady Mito, you must know the sealing formula for Impure World Reincarnation," Itsuki said, deactivating his Sharingan.
"To avoid being manipulated again, you should completely cut off the caster's connection to you."
Though he had expelled Orochimaru's control for now, as long as the jutsu remained active, Orochimaru could take control again.
Unless Mito and Kushina themselves performed the release seal, they would never truly be free.
Mito nodded. Without showing surprise at Itsuki's power, she immediately began teaching Kushina the sealing formula and principles of the technique.
After all, the jutsu had been created by Tobirama himself. As his sister-in-law, Mito was familiar with its workings.
But before they could finish, a sudden wave of sinister chakra filled the air.
These enemies had concealed themselves even from the Uzumaki clan's powerful sensory skills. By the time Itsuki and the others noticed, they were already surrounded.
"As expected, Orochimaru alone isn't reliable. Fortunately, I made multiple preparations."
A dark figure emerged slowly from the woods, leaning on a cane. His very presence reeked so foully it made one want to vomit.
Shimura Danzo.
This rat had finally revealed himself.
Itsuki's eyes narrowed, but he wasn't surprised.
In fact, before the Chunin Exams even began, he had secretly left behind a Wood Release clone to keep watch.
When the invasion started, Itsuki had ordered the clone to track Danzo.
Even if Danzo didn't show himself, Itsuki planned to kill him in the chaos and pin it on Orochimaru.
