Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: One Can per Person

"Well then, everyone, take a short break and move around freely," Kagura announced inside the Kirigakure Ninja Academy.

"We'll meet again at the beach this afternoon. I'll personally guide everyone to the Memorial Park."

The ocean breeze carried the scent of salt and blooming flowers.

On the beach, Sarada leaned gently against Boruto's shoulder, her gaze fixed on the glittering sea.

"The environment here is really nice…" she murmured softly.

"Yeah…" Boruto adjusted his posture carefully so her head could rest comfortably.

Feeling his tenderness, Sarada turned to look at him and brushed a light kiss across his cheek.

Boruto smiled faintly—already used to her spontaneous sweetness.

"Hey, Sarada… how about a kiss here instead?"

He pointed to his lips, a mischievous grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Sarada's cheeks flushed pink. She gave him a light punch in the chest.

"Stop it! We're in public."

"Oh?" Boruto smirked. "So, you mean if we were alone, it'd be fine?"

He leaned close to her ear, his tone teasing and low.

Her cheeks turned bright red like ripe apples.

She glared at him—but didn't refute it. Instead, she quietly leaned back on his shoulder again.

The gentle sea breeze brushed past them, peaceful and warm.

"God, this is so unfair!"

A middle-aged bald man from Kirigakure walked by, grumbling under his breath after seeing their affectionate scene.

"Why does every kid have a girlfriend while I'm still single?"

"Pfft—hahaha!"

Though he had spoken quietly, the people nearby burst out laughing.

Embarrassed, he scratched his shiny head and hurried away to escape the teasing.

"By the way, Boruto," Sarada said suddenly, "did you forget to wake up Krab? You said you'd bring him here with Himawari to visit the Hidden Mist Village."

Boruto blinked, then slapped his forehead. "Ah, right! I totally forgot. Thanks for reminding me!"

He silently called out to Krab in his mind.

At that exact moment, aboard a luxury ship somewhere far away—

Krab suddenly opened his eyes.

"The master is calling me!" he muttered dramatically.

With a quick leap, his tiny legs carried him out of the cabin.

He dashed onto the deck, eyes glowing with his three-tomoe Sharingan.

A wooden board rose beneath his feet, floating upward as his Mangekyō Sharingan activated.

"Is that Krab?" Sarada asked in surprise, watching the flying board approach.

"Yeah," Boruto nodded. "He's using his eye technique to fly."

The board descended and landed gently in front of them.

"Master, mistress, you called for me!" Krab wagged his tail energetically.

"Yeah," Boruto replied. "Take us back to Konoha."

"Received!"

The fox's Mangekyō rotated, opening a black vortex of space-time.

Boruto and Sarada were instantly sucked in and vanished.

In the next moment, they reappeared in their home in Konoha.

Sarada looked around in amazement, "This space-time jutsu is incredible… we traveled all that distance in an instant."

"Yeah, it's really convenient," Boruto said.

The Jōgan can also control time and space, he thought, but I haven't mastered it yet.

After returning, Krab used the Transformation Jutsu to disguise himself as a small Nine-Tailed Fox.

When Himawari first met him, she had been so startled that she instinctively struck a pressure point—nearly killing him on the spot.

Ever since then, Krab had lived in fear of her, always maintaining his adorable fox form.

When Boruto and Sarada came downstairs, Hinata and Himawari were watching TV together on the sofa.

"Boruto, Sarada—you've already reached the Hidden Mist Village?" Hinata asked, turning toward them with a warm smile.

Boruto nodded. "Yeah, Mom. We just came back using Krab' space-time ability."

"Ah! Krab!"

Himawari's eyes sparkled as she jumped up and scooped the little fox into her arms, hugging it tightly.

"Mom," Boruto said, "are you sure you don't want to come visit the Land of Water?"

Hinata shook her head gently. "No, you go ahead. Just stay safe."

"Alright," Boruto agreed. "Then I'll take Himawari back with us this evening."

Krab spun his eyes again, summoning another vortex.

In an instant, the three of them disappeared—reappearing moments later on the beach.

"Wow! So this is the Land of Water!"

Himawari looked around in awe, her eyes wide with excitement.

The breeze carried the scent of the sea, and the endless horizon filled her with joy.

She ran along the coast, bending down occasionally to pick up colorful seashells and carefully placing them in her small cloth bag.

After a while, her stomach let out a small growl.

"Himawari, are you hungry?" Boruto asked, noticing immediately.

She looked up shyly. "Yeah… a little."

"Then let's go get something delicious!" Sarada suggested.

"I heard from Chocho there's a great seafood restaurant nearby."

Soon, they arrived at a restaurant decorated with ocean-themed ornaments and took a seat by the window.

"Welcome!" the waiter greeted with a smile. "What would you like to order?"

Boruto handed the menu to Himawari first.

"You pick what you want, Hima."

"I want this one!" she said excitedly, pointing at a colorful seafood platter on the menu.

Boruto and Sarada smiled and ordered a few of the restaurant's signature dishes for themselves.

When the waiter brought out Sarada's caviar, Boruto noticed something odd—a small scale in the waiter's hand.

"Huh? A scale? What's that for?" Boruto asked, frowning.

"You're not seriously weighing the food, are you?"

The waiter smiled politely. "Sir, our caviar is charged by weight."

"What? Are you kidding me?" Boruto grumbled. "If people see that, they'll think we can't afford it!"

The waiter quickly waved his hands. "No, sir! It's standard procedure—every customer is treated the same."

Boruto leaned back and crossed his arms. "What do you mean, the same? Nobody eats just that little!"

He sighed, then raised his voice playfully, "Forget it—bring us another can! One per person! And take that scale away!"
