No one knew how much time had passed.
But one thing was certain—Ethen had just earned another 60 reward points from annihilating the Error Alien.
Adding that to his previous missions, he now had a grand total of 80 points.
Now, the Error Humungousaur stood before him—a pathetic sight.
His face was swollen like a pig's head, his mouth toothless, and bruises covered every inch of his body.
He looked less like a warrior and more like a victim of prolonged torture.
Ethen, now in his XLR8 form, crouched low, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
He was loving this fight.
"Round two," he muttered, ready to dash—
But before the battle could even start, the air warped with a flash of blood-red light.
Ethen tensed immediately, his instincts screaming. "That aura… don't tell me it's Error Alien X again?"
The light faded.
And standing there was a Clockwork, but horribly mutated—his chest cracked open, revealing a warped face beneath, and the gears on his head twisted into a sickle.
He looked every bit a nightmare.
Without a word, the Error Clockwork raised both hands.
Whoosh! Bang!
Time energy exploded outward, hitting Ethen like a tidal wave.
"Clockwork?" Ethen barked, and in an instant, transformed into Clockwork himself—his golden aura of time power clashing with the corrupted energy head-on!
The air rippled violently as both time fields collided, warping reality itself.
But then—the Error Clockwork grinned, twisting his palms mid-air.
His attack curved unnaturally, snaking around Ethen's defenses and trapping him inside his own time vortex!
Ethen's eyes widened. "He's taking the hit on purpose… trading injuries for injuries?!"
The warped Clockwork cackled, his voice glitching.
"You're too strong for me to kill… so I'll just trap you instead! Drain your power—bit by bit—until you break!"
Professor Paradox watched in horror. "No… the Error Clockwork's creating a time prison! Ethen, you have to break out fast!"
But inside the swirling vortex, Ethen's golden light struggled to stay stable.
"You think you can outlast me?" the Error Clockwork hissed. "Then let's see who survives time itself!"
The vortex roared louder, compressing.
Ethen gritted his teeth, tearing at the flow of time itself. "My control over time is stronger than yours!"
He clawed open a small gap, his golden energy burning bright.
But then—the Error Clockwork's head gears began spinning backward.
Click. Click. Click.
Each turn made his body melt slightly, collapsing piece by piece, but he didn't stop.
"If it costs me my life… I'll still trap you!!"
The blood-red power of time surged, sealing the vortex again.
Professor Paradox gasped. "He's… burning his own existence just to keep Ethen locked away!"
Ethen cursed under his breath. "You maniac…"
And then—his voice dropped low.
"Guess I'll stop holding back."
A green flash filled the vortex.
When the light faded, standing there was Alien X, the God of Punishment himself, cloaked in divine energy.
The Error Clockwork froze in terror. "Oh no…"
But before he could move, the red power surged again—
CRACK!
The entire vortex shattered as a blinding explosion of blood-red light consumed the battlefield.
Then silence.
Ethen reappeared—his armor gone, standing amidst the dust.
The Omnitrix on his wrist sparked… and disintegrated completely.
Crack… crack… click.
The broken device fell apart into digital dust.
For a moment, no one moved.
Then the Error Clockwork began to laugh—wildly, hysterically. "Hahaha! You're finished! The watch is gone!"
Professor Paradox's face paled. "Oh, Azmuth help us… The Omnitrix really broke this time."
The corrupted Clockwork's eyes gleamed. "Now die, human!!"
He lunged forward—
But Professor Paradox moved faster, blocking the blow with his staff. "Ethen, go! Run while you still can! I'll hold him off!"
And then—
Ding! Comprehensive Evolution Template has expired. Would you like to permanently store it in the ability pool?
Ethen blinked. "Expired? It's already midnight…"
He smirked. "Fine then. Give me today's template."
Ding! Template Acquired: War Watch (Prototype of the Omnitrix).
Description: Created by Azmuth to weaponize DNA. Every transformation is a born warrior. Every cell is built for battle. Watch will calibrate to the host's strength…
Ethen's grin turned razor-sharp. "The War Watch, huh? Perfect timing."
An orange glow ignited around his wrist, forming a brand-new device—sleek, angular, and pulsing with primal power.
The War Watch.
Click… click… whirr!
The screen spun wildly, scanning and recalibrating to Ethen's enhanced DNA.
"Ultimate Evolution: Loading…"
"Unlocking additional DNA strands…"
"Outer Godline successfully integrated."
"Full permissions unlocked."
The voice echoed through the battlefield like thunder.
Both the Error Clockwork and Professor Paradox froze, stunned.
"What… what kind of watch is that?!" Professor Paradox stammered.
The corrupted Clockwork's eyes widened with dread. "His power—just spiked off the charts!!"
Ethen opened the War Watch's screen, his expression cold and certain.
Click.
"War mode… engage."
An inferno of orange light burst outward, shaking the very fabric of the world.
The War Watch had awakened—
and Ethen was done playing games.
