Kanna tilted her head and thought. Although she had experienced this series of events and was quite excited, there was such a large monster advancing outside. Kal'tsit could still sleep; it had to be said that the old lynx had a good mindset.
However, Kal'tsit was also right; tomorrow would be a big battle, and it was necessary to get a good rest and conserve energy.
She found the Tower Keeper and mumbled something. The Tower Keeper nodded after listening. "You rest. When you wake up, the things you need will be brought to you."
Kal'tsit glanced at Kanna. Although she didn't know what Kanna was up to again, the fact that she still had the mind to play proved that the problem wasn't too big.
Walking next to Kal'tsit and taking the sleeping bag she handed over, Kanna burrowed in, closed her eyes, and fell asleep within two minutes.
Kal'tsit shook her head at the sight. Even if she was an incredibly powerful being, she was still a child in terms of age. The ability to fall asleep so quickly was truly enviable.
"Kanna likes to mess around. If she asked you for anything just now, you don't have to prepare it. I think she's just in a playful mood again."
Kal'tsit said to the Tower Keeper, who was standing by the lighthouse, observing Rock Bay Town while communicating with Ilena below via his headset.
The Tower Keeper shook his head. "According to your plan, the danger Kanna faces tomorrow is countless times greater than ours. Not to mention she only asked for a few insignificant, worthless trinkets. Even if she asked for my old bones, I would hand them over without hesitation."
Seeing this, Kal'tsit found it difficult to decline further. She simply pushed Kanna's half-exposed body, which had squirmed out of the sleeping bag, back in.
When Kanna woke up, she saw several more people on the tower. At this point, even ordinary people standing on the top of the tower could vaguely see the figure of the sea beast in the ocean.
Inside the temporary command post atop the lighthouse, Ilena, as an Inquisitor, naturally took on the role of temporary commander.
"Dona, take this group of temporarily organized young adults and gather in the Monastery direction. If Kanna here fails to stop that giant beast, I will immediately fire a red flare, and the lighthouse will sound the highest level of natural disaster alert. At that time, you will lead these people to organize the town's residents for evacuation.
We will use the lighthouse as a base and set up defensive lines around it to cover your actions."
Upon hearing her words, Dona's voice came through the headset: "No problem, I will handle the reception work here."
"Madam Kal'tsit and Madam Skadi, I thank you and Kanna in advance for your assistance to Iberia. If the situation becomes insurmountable, I will open a passage for you to have a chance to leave safely."
After seeing the giant beast's figure, Ilena was not optimistic about Kanna's ability to stop its advance, so she had also made the worst-case preparations.
Skadi, however, shook her head. "Firstly, although I haven't seen Kanna in action, I trust my companion and Kal'tsit's judgment. If all else fails, I also have a way to divert at least two-thirds of the enemies."
Looking at the Seaborn continuously emerging from the vast sea, Skadi's hand caressed her greatsword, her eyes extremely cold.
"Hello, Skadi!" Kanna greeted Skadi after crawling out of her sleeping bag.
"Good morning, Kanna!" Skadi nodded.
Kanna looked around. Ilena had already arrived at the lighthouse, and besides her, there was a middle-aged Liberi man in a police uniform with a resolute expression.
"There's no need to be so pessimistic. Haven't the 'Saints' sent word? There are three Inquisitions, five National Defense Forces, and two Retribution Army legions converging on Rock Bay Town. As long as we delay the enemy's advance, our comrades will arrive continuously." Seeing the low spirits on the tower top, the Tower Keeper spoke up.
"Grandpa, are the things I asked for ready?" Hearing the Tower Keeper speak, Kanna remembered the items she had asked for before going to sleep.
"Of course, they're right there!" The Tower Keeper pointed to a nearby table, which was covered with a large piece of white cloth, and next to it was a box of red dye.
Kanna first looked outside; the giant beast was already within three kilometers, and parts of its body had begun to surface.
She nodded, walked unhurriedly to the white cloth, pondered over it for a while, and then picked up the brush next to it.
First, she wrote the four Yan characters "Return from the dead" (Raise the Dead, Return the Bones) in the upper left corner of the white cloth. Then she thought that she didn't seem to have this ability and was about to cross it out when she suddenly realized that although she couldn't do it, she *was* the ability itself!
Upon realizing this, she kept the four characters.
Next, she wrote the two small characters "Rescue" (Relieve Suffering) at the very front of the middle of the white cloth, and then at the very end, covering almost four-fifths of the space, she wrote the two characters "Hungry" (Hungry Stomach).
After finishing, she nodded with satisfaction, quite pleased with her scrawled calligraphy.
Kal'tsit walked over and glanced at it. After all, she was the only one who recognized Yan characters, and she wanted to see what kind of mischief this little one was up to again.
"Raise the Dead, Return the Bones, Relieve Suffering... and Hunger!" Kal'tsit narrowed her eyes, confirming in her heart that Kanna definitely had an unusual connection with Yan.
After all, if one only understood Yan characters without sufficient cultural background, it would be impossible to write something like this.
Although she had written two characters incorrectly, based on Kal'tsit's understanding of Kanna, this was likely intentional.
Kanna found an iron rod and made the white cloth, covered in characters, into a flag. Then, carrying the flag, she jumped onto the railing.
"Kal'tsit, shall we start now?"
"How long does your move take?"
"I don't know, but last time, from when it was used to when it actually happened, it took about half an hour," Kanna said, recalling the previous situation.
Kal'tsit looked at the sea, calculated the distance between the two sides, and then nodded. "Then you can begin."
"Alrighty!"
Kanna unfurled the flag in her hand and pointed it towards the sky.
"Mummy mummy hum, I'll fool you. Six Ding Six Jia, Five Directions Revealers, quickly heed my command! Lord of Thunder and Mother of Lightning, come forth upon my summons! Four Dragon Kings of the Seas, heed my decree! Shatter the firmament with lightning, shake the nine provinces with thunder! Call forth wind and rain, drive thunder and lightning! Wind and thunder as per the decree, the magic spell manifests the divine spirit, open the Heavenly Gate for me!"
After Kanna's string of incantations, the color of the sky darkened a few more shades.
At this moment, Kanna's small face was flushed red. This was her first time intentionally controlling the location and range of Pray for Rain.
The system kept beeping continuously.
Finally, she concentrated the range of Pray for Rain to a radius of just over three kilometers, centered on the giant beast's head, which was three kilometers away.
This way, even if it poured rain like last time, it would only reach the edge of the coastline and not affect Rock Bay Town by the sea too much.
After finishing her "casting," she finally had the energy to look at her system, wondering what all those beeps had been about.
