Chapter 3 - Chapter three

EMMA'S POV

"Shit…"

What was in front of me was crazy and I don't think they noticed me.

Damian and a lady were putting on a show. With Damian taking the lady from behind and the lady screaming on the top of her lungs.

"I'm cuming." The lady repeated herself and that's when it hit me that was what I heard.

I need to get out of here before I am spotted and fast but for some stupid reason, I couldn't move. My eyes planted on Damian and how sexy he looked. The way he was pleasuring the lady made me feel hot and my kitty cat contracted.

He was pumping his dick into her like his life depended on it and when he moaned it was like angels sang.

I shook my head and snapped out of my stupid delusions.

"Get out of here." I scolded myself.

I slowly closed the door and walked out to the hall. I was about to leave when I met a man coming from the elevator.

He gave me a suspicious look and I gave him a crooked smile.

"Can I help you, Miss? You are not supposed to be here without an appointment."

I swallowed, looking around "Hmmm, I don't know. I am Emma Lawson."

"The therapist?" The young man asked and I was taken aback, "I sent you the NDA." He said and I mouthed ohh.

"So, Mr Cross and I left off on a bad note yesterday and I wanted to see if there was any compromise to the demands he made."

The young man let out a little chuckle, "Mr cross and compromise in the same sentence?"

"Yeah, I know it sounds stupid but can I at least try, please?"

He looked at me for a while.

"Okay, fine." He pointed to a chair in the lobby. "You can sit. He is having a meeting with the PR executive and she will be out soon."

"Yeah, meeting." I said in a whisper.

"Did you say something?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Hmm, no. Thank you. I will sit and wait."

I took my sit and it wasn't up to five minutes, the lady who was being fucked like a common whore walked out of the office. Her lipstick was smeared but apart from that she looked like a goddess.

Damn! Maybe she was more than that and I walked in on a private moment.

I immediately felt guilt. The lady walked past me without sparing me a glance. I watched her sway her hips as she walked down the hall.

"What the hell."

"Miss Lawson!"

I snapped my head back to who called me.

"You can go in now." The man said.

I stood up, said my thanks and walked to the door where I just witnessed a horrid scene with the hopes of not expecting more surprises.

I knocked and waited, then I heard a sound and with hopes, I pushed the door open. I kind of had my eyes closed as I walked in and when I got in I opened it.

I let out a sigh of relief.

Damian gave me a look, which made me smile.

He was seated on the chair like this room was not a brothel a few seconds ago and apart from the messy hair, he looked good.

"Miss Lawson, what brings you here?"

"Hmmm, good day sir. I am sorry for coming to your office without any form of appointment but I need to speak with you."

Damian leaned into this chair, "about what?"

Was this man not going to offer me a seat? I shook the thought away from my head and tried to concentrate on the task at hand. "Hmmm, the demand you made yesterday."

"Which you turned down." He blurted out.

"Yes but I am here to see if we can come to a compromise."

Damien bent his head and looked at me, "hmmm, compromise? I don't compromise, Miss Lawson."

"Yes, So have heard but I hope you reconsider this."

"Reconsider? Do you know how I am?" She asked and I could feel a sense of pride from that statement.

"Hmmm, I think so, sir… I…."

"You can leave." He cut me short before I could say anything else.

"But sir…."

"I don't want to repeat myself or else you won't like the side you would see if I were next." His voice was thick and more scary. It made me shiver.

"I'm sorry sir… I would leave. Have a nice day."

I turned and walked out of the office.

That went well.

I walked back into the lobby, head down, cheeks still burning from Damian's dismissal. The young man at the desk glanced at me curiously, but I pretended not to notice.

The elevator ride down felt longer than the trip up, my mind still replaying the humiliating scene I'd just escaped. My chest ached with frustration. How could someone so irritating also be that impossibly attractive? And worse… Why had I just stood there like a deer in headlights?

The doors slid open to the ground floor and I stepped out, my heels clicking across the marble. I pushed through the glass doors, the cool air rushing against my flushed skin.

All I wanted was to get home, crawl into bed, and pretend today never happened.

As I walked toward the parking lot, I spotted a familiar silver car which was parked by the side of the road. My brow furrowed.

That was Jessy's car.

I smiled faintly. At least I could end this day with a friendly face. I picked up my pace, ready to wave at her, until I saw the passenger.

It was a man, but not just any man.

Ethan...My Ethan. The boyfriend who had been out of town for the past three months.

They haven't seen me yet. Jessy was leaning across the console, her hand on his cheek as she laughed at something he'd said. The sound of my own pulse roared in my ears.

I froze in the middle of the sidewalk, my breath catching in my throat.

Then Jessy did something that ripped the air right out of my lungs.

She kissed him.

It was not a friendly peck, not a quick, casual brush of lips, noo, she legit kissed him , her fingers curling into his hair like she'd been dying to do it for a long time and worse… Ethan kissed her back.

The ground beneath me felt like it was tilting. I wanted to scream. I wanted to march over there and drag her out of that car by her perfect hair but my body wouldn't move.

Finally, Jessy pulled away, her lips curling into a sly little smile. She said something to him, and they both laughed like this was their own private joke.

That's when her eyes lifted and it met mine.

Her smile froze.

Ethan turned, following her gaze.

The moment he saw me, the color drained from his face.
