Chapter 2 - Chapter two

EMMA'S POV

"What!"

His cold features made me realize that I wasn't supposed to object but just follow as he instructed. What the hell is going on?

Shit.

I had to stand my ground or else it wasn't going to end well.

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't do that."

"Why? It is a simple instruction that I expect you to follow."

"I can follow simple instructions, sir but that is not a simple instruction. It is more than that I am a professional therapist and I can't do anything that goes against the conduct of my work.

"Ahhh, I see…."

"Yes, I can come to your house for the session but it is impossible to be there by 12 midnight, sir. Can you please reconsider?" I asked in high hopes.

He looked at me for a while and without saying a word, he opened the door and walked out.

That's crazy.

What the hell have I gotten myself into

***************************

"You did what?"

My friend Jessy yelled loudly into my ears

"Ouch! That's loud."

"Sorry but blame your stupidity. What the actual hell. Did you even think? Or you just did as you felt?"

I looked at Jessy like she had grown horns in her head, "Jessy, are you seriously trying to defend this? It is creepy!"

"And it pays 50 grand per session and that's two time your fucking salary in a month."

I picked up the check, looked at it. The money was no doubt a watering amount but I couldn't do anything that would make the board revoke my license again.

I had to play it safe.

"Jessy, I can't do it."

Jessy let out a sigh, "okay, tell me what you think you are doing wrong?"

I opened my mouth, closed it and opened it again but no words came out.

"See, absolutely nothing."

I leaned back into my couch, "yeah, but let's be frank it is creep."

"Girl, please. If that man wanted me to come to his house at any time, I would be flying there." Jessy said in a filthy tone.

"Jessy?!"

"What? That's just crazy. Have you seen the material we are working with?" She asked but her eyes were on her phone.

"What are you looking at?"

She passed me her phone and in front of me was a picture of Damian Cross and I won't lie, the pictures don't do justice to how fine this man is.

"Why the hell are you over here lusting over an obnoxious man?"

"He could put those obnoxious mouths somewhere good…"

"Jessssy…."

"What?"

"Ewwww!"

She Burt's out laughing and I followed suit. She had always been like that. Jessy never had a boyfriend but she wanted something more to do with different people daily.

She is the type of girl whose beauty is mind blowing but she always stays away from anything that could keep her locked down.

"In all honesty, I think you should take the offer."

"I don't even know if the offer is still on the table." I replied.

There was a long pause.

"Hmmm, I think it is still on the table."

I gave her a curious look, "You think?"

"Yes, but that's if you want it."

"I want the money." I let out a chuckle.

"Who doesn't? Maybe he could give you more than cash." She winked at me and I almost threw up in my mouth. Someone who is way older than me with an age gap of 12- 13 years? Nah, I'm good.

"Jessy, the plan."

"Ahh, yes… I think you should take your butt up to his office tomorrow and try to come to a compromise."

"A compromise?"

"Ya, like he could bring down the time. Probably instead of 12, you could do 9 or 10."

"Yeah that's a good compromise. I won't be breaking any code for the committee and still be able to make enough to fund the upcoming bad girl lifestyle." I said, Jessy gave me a smirk.

"Yap, we are in Miami next summer!" Jessy yelled on the top of her lungs and I chuckled.

I hugged her and she did the same.

"Thank you, I don't know what I would have done without you."

"Hmmm, nothing. You would have foolishly lost out on a sweet ass deal."

It made me laugh and she did also.

"Come on, let's go get dinner. It's your treat." She said and I nodded in support.

*****************

The next day I walked into Damian's company. The main headquarters of the different hotels and restaurants around the world.

The DC Link.

It was huge and intimidating. The halls were filled with different people who looked so posh and beautiful. I felt out of place even though I said something good. A black skirt with a shirt which was tucked in and a blazer. My hair was pulled into a bun and my makeup was simple.

I looked presentable.

I got to the reception where the lady with dark locks asked me for an appointment.

I told her that I was his therapist and we agreed to meet here today and thanks be to God, she let me through.

I walked into the elevator, pressing the top button because that's where the receptionist told me to go. The ride was slow. Was it because I was nervous?

I hope this goes as planned.

The elevator stopped and the door opened. I stepped out, coming out in a huge hallway.

There was no one here. It was completely deserted. I looked and saw a desk further down the hall. I walked to it.

When I got there, no one was there but there was a door behind it and it had a sign, the one I was looking for.

CEO'S OFFICE!

Finally,

I walked towards it, took a couple of breaths and then I knocked but no one answered. I listened and I could hear some voices inside.

"Did I come at the wrong time?" I asked

I knocked again and this time I heard, "come in…"

I let out a sigh of relief as I pushed the door open but what I saw in front of me, left me frozen in my spot.

"Shit!"
