Edith still couldn't believe she'd lost her mind for saying such cruel things to Callum in front of Cliff. She couldn't bear to imagine Callum crying alone in the office or not being able to eat in peace all day. She couldn't even work peacefully because Callum kept calling her nonstop, to the point where she wanted to block him. Although she really wanted to talk to Callum, the current situation didn't allow them to be as close as before.
It had been two hours since she had spoken with Cliff, and Edith was now focused on her work in her office before returning to her role as a nanny.
Hearing someone barge into the room startled her, her mouth dropping open. It was Callum. She was genuinely confused as to why he had suddenly come to her, after they had just argued in Cliff's office.
"What's the matter with you suddenly coming to me? Are you still not satisfied with my scolding?"
Callum grabbed his lover's hand and quickly lifted her tiny body. "Edith, do you want to marry Cliff?"
