Chapter 3 - left alone

As Fu Yu prepared to head downstairs, she couldn't help but ask knowingly. "Mom, Dad, what's happening? Why is my sister crying? And who are all these people?" she asked, trying to understand.

Her mother paused her busy tasks and gave Fu Yu a distracted look. "I promise I'll explain everything later, sweetheart. Right now, we need you to take care of the house because we have something important to attend to."

"Something important," Fu Yu thought, a familiar feeling of being left out . It seemed like her family was always too busy for her, yet when they are playing the family drama, they had all the time in the world. She pressed her lips together, rolling her eyes slightly in private but keeping her expression pleasant.

"Alright, Mom and Dad," she replied, making an effort to keep her tone neutral. "I'll take care of things here."

And then shend them off her father, her mother, her older brother, and even her younger brother all of them heading out with the Su family. Fu Yu was left alone in the house.

After the excitement of the DNA tests, the families had decided to go out to eat, and in their rush, her family had completely forgotten about her.

Hours later, when they finally returned, Fu Yu found them in the living room, her stomach grumbling.

"Mom," she said softly, trying to maintain her dignity, "I'm really hungry."

Her mother blinked, seeming to remember her responsibilities at that moment. "Oh dear, I completely forgot! I gave all the maids the day off," she explained, a hint of guilt in her voice.

"There's no food prepared at home, Mom," Fu Yu replied.

Her mother briefly looked a bit guilty before saying, "Oh silly, why didn't you just order something from outside?"

"I don't have any money," Fu Yu said, folding her arms. "You forgot to give me my allowance this month."

The reality was a bit more painful. She hadn't forgotten; her allowance had been given, but it was diverted this month to buy something for her "real" sister.

At that time I ask my mother where is my pocket money In response, her mother said, "You really don't need money right now. After your exams, you'll have a whole month of holidays at home. What would you possibly need money for?"

Fu Yu felt a mix of emotions swirling within her. Standing silently, she contemplated her mother—the woman who had left her hungry at home but was now asking why she didn't order takeout. The question lingered in the air, reminding her of her place in the family.

Before this my parents are more or less partial but I do not take it seriously but after reading that this world is a book she start noticing a minor things she is a marginal figure in a family. And according to the book they become more and more partial after the real and fake daughter incidence.
