On the first day of the second week of June 2121, Accel left his home, escorted by the agency along with his batchmates, to Neo-Manila. They were heading to the headquarters of the Luzvion Republic Defense Force (LRDF), where Accel, his batch, and the remaining batches would have their Marine Defense Academy (MDA) pictures taken for their IDs, all while wearing their Academic Military Uniforms.
After completing these tasks, the students of the Marine Defense Academy would proceed to the MDA headquarters. Upon arriving at the MDA HQ, they were greeted by a vast naval base equipped with patrol boats, frigates, and destroyers, all ready to deploy against low-ranking and mid-ranking sea monsters.
Luzvion Maritime Defense Force: (Standard Naval Classes)
1. Patrol Boats / Mabini-Class Littoral Patrol Craft: Small, agile ships designed for coastal and island route patrol. Equipped with multi-shot magic turrets and sonar nets.
2. Frigates / Rizal-Class Multipurpose Frigate: Mainstay surface combatants with high mobility, anti-air defense, and modular decks for drone deployment.
3. Destroyers / Taal-Class Heavy Destroyer: Armed with artillery cannons, stunned magic torpedos, and magic-reactor engines. Used for mid-sea dominance.
As the group of students rode the magi-tech bus, many were impressed by the naval boats and ships they passed. However, one of the students, Accel and the few others, seemed unfazed and indifferent. His primary concern was achieving a passing grade. He found his player stats particularly troubling, especially when it came to physical education, training courses, and the upcoming challenges of facing sea monsters. Accel wondered if his HP, DEF, and Toughness were superior to other students in his class with similar job roles. His preoccupation with his stats and studies overshadowed any excitement about the naval fleet at the large port of MDA.
Upon arriving at the Academy, the students divided themselves according to their class jobs. Accel joined the other students with Tank Class jobs, each having different specializations. Their team instructor, Mary, from the Iron Surge Team, introduced herself and explained that there are 20 official Marine Military Rankings declared in the Oceania Continent. These rankings are separate from those established by the United Earth Federation Global Defense Force, as they were created by the Oceania Naval Council, reflecting the predominance of water, seas, and the Pacific in Oceania's territory.

After the preparations were complete, three males and three females were placed in separate sections of a dorm, divided by a wall. There was a magical door between them, but only the females were allowed to open and close it; if the males attempted to do so, they would be electrocuted by magical electricity. The walls separating them also had multiple layers of resistance against physical attacks, magic, and sound, ensuring privacy.
Once settled, the six members began introducing themselves. The three males—Accel, George, and Michael—were all the same age. Accel was a Tank Class specializing in Defense, George was a Tank Class specializing in Buffs, and Michael was a Tank Class specializing in Recovery.
The three females—Mina, Olivia, and Emily—also belonged to the Tank Class. Mina specialized in Fortification, Olivia in Elemental magic, and Emily in Nullification.
Supposedly, Defense Type means focuses purely on physical and magical defense. Gains massive DEF and HP boosts but minimal offense. But, this doesn't apply on Accel only all those Tank Class Jobs who have Defense Type have this.
Buff Type means provides defensive or supportive buffs to allies. Boosts team DEF, HP regen, or resistance through shield projection.
Recovery Type means specializes in passive or regenerative defenses. HP, shields, or armor gradually recover over time or when blocking attacks.
Fortification Type means specializes in temporary reinforcement — greatly boosts DEF for short durations. Sacrifices mobility and stamina while fortified.
Elemental Type means specializes in element-based defenses — Fire Guard, Frost Shield, etc. Can nullify or resist certain elements at extreme efficiency.
Nullification Type means capable of temporarily nullifying specific damage categories — like kinetic impact or curses. Often short-duration, high-cooldown skills.
After the team introductions, all members of Iron Surge Team 25 were called in from the Bulwark Department. They announced that tomorrow would mark the beginning of the academic program, which includes educational requirements related to their specific class jobs and specializations.
