"I never should have downloaded that mod! It was a mistake downloading that malware garbage!"
Ajax cried Without tears as he sat on edge of a bench with a laptop in his hand.
He works as a manager in a packaging company. Atleast he used to be until two days ago.
He was fan of pokemon series, it was his favourite game since he first got his original Nds. He had memorized about half of the wikipedia for pokemon games, that was how hard his obsession was with it.
Yet as much exhausting doing a 9-5 job is, he always cut costs to have fun and eventually managed to buy a laptop and began using it in his rented apartment on holidays and his free time.
But.
One day he entered the world of rom hacks and fan games that opened a new horizon for him. Even now as he sat on the bench he could still remember the joy he had playing all those fan games.
"Just where did it go wrong...WHERE?" He asked to himself, unable to find a answer to his problems.
It all began when tried to download a fan game and ended up getting his account and passwords stolen. All his hard purchased games were gone, his laptop now unable to run without crashing into a second.
It was hell for him. Now his bank account was emptied and all the things he had were gone within seconds with a loan taken on his name that he couldn't even try to payback.
Dip Dip Dip
The rain began to fell as if matching Ajax's heart, leaving him alone in the silence until he heard something sizzling his head.
The next instance his broken laptop jumped to life, it's screen coming into his view for the first time in two days with a single E-mail message now plastered within it.
[Download pokemon: Realistic version]
The sender's name was filled with blanks and only a link was left in the message except the name of the Email and the date of the message.
"What?..."
Ajax thought for a second.
" this can't get any worse can it? well atleast I can go to web and play the dinosaur game since I got no network."
Finding it funny, Ajax clicked on the link, expecting to go to the search engine. However instead suddenly he felt something and fell as pain engulfed him.
It was shocking sight. Literally. Since The laptop had electrocuted Ajax until his eyes rolled back and just like that he was died.
(Dude had it coming when he used a laptop in rain. Deserved.)

"And that's how I got here." Ajax said to his partner snivy, recieving a suspicious side eye from it.
"Sni."
"I know I know. Sounds wierd doesn't it. I mean how can I be here if I died right?"
"Sni-Snivy."
" *Sigh* These is annoying."
Well that was how Ajax recieved the mad man status in the eyes of his starter right after reciting his story to him.
It has been fifteen years since he came to the real world of pokemon. A plot he was quite familiar with for a story but it wasn't just a normal transmigration either.
He could still remember it as if it was yesterday. The time when he was given the choice to come here by a giant colossus of unknowns who came to him in the void.
The sole evidence of that event now being only the black unknown (the pokemon) shaped pendant in his neck that acts as his system.
"Welp anyway I guess it's time we began.. Right partner?"
"Sni! *Nods* "
"Let's go then! To CASTELIA!"
Ajax was practically shivering in excitement, his feet already bursting into a sprint. Yet before he could step outside of aspertia city a voice called him back.
"WAIT!!"
Ajax turned mid step out of reflex, the face of middle-aged uncle coming into his view at the last second who was running at him from behind.
Crash!
He slipped, falling on his butt while his Uncle sighed at the sight of him falling like fish, splashing on the asphalt floor.
"Ow ow ow ow! What was that for Old man!?" Ajax yells.
His face was distorted in pain yet he looked up and saw his uncle just shaking his head at him. This caused his rage to rise but he couldn't bring himself to speak about it.
"You forgot your wallet. You brat!"
"You don't have to add brat everytime. I know that is forced."
"You must be imagining... You brat!"
The scene was straight out of a comedy. Yet It was only annoying from Ajax's POV when he snatches his wallet with the trainer card inside and puts it calmly in the bag.
However as he was grumbling inside while placing the wallet, he found something missing from his bag as well.
He turned to his uncle, his voice as loud as it could be.
"Where is My C-Gear?"
"You mean the communicator thing? Did you steal it from somewhere?"
The reply from his uncle turned Ajax into a fuming potato of anger, making his voice even louder until it drew the crowd's attention.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN STOLE? I BOUGHT THAT THING MYSELF! *Realises the crowd looking at him* Where is it!?"
" I-uh kind of gave it your friends."
"Don't tell me you gave it to nate."
"Oh no no. I gave it to Rosa."
*Shrilled internal screaming*
Ajax fell to his knees, curling into a ball while Snivy patted him from back with pity.
"Sni Sni."
"This ain't helping."
"Sni Sni. Sni-vy."
...
"Can't you just ask her to give it back. Or maybe like give her another one saying it was a mistake?" Spoke Ajax's uncle who had not the slightest idea of how big of the mess-up he had done.
The C-gear wasn't some normal thing Ajax bought, it was traded for with the help of his system and he had to get it before everything messes up big time.
So with a give jolt to his feet, he rose and put snivy in its pokeball. He was sure Nate and Rosa, his school friends should be in the ranch since they had one day headstart before him.
'No time to spare! I have to catch up quick!' he thought and sprinted past the town entrance.
His hands going to his pendant which he brought up to his forehead and connected with it to open his system.
[What took you so long? We have been waiting for months.]
[That's right! It's boring here in the void!]
"I know that but can you open the shop first? I am kind of in a hurry." Ajax spoke to the Unknowns who are the core of his system.
[Well you gave us a chance to become self-aware instead of being a hivemind]
[So we forgive you for now... Opening exchange:
[Skill points: 17 available ( in 5 fields)]
[Item trade: 100 points available]
"Show me my skill points!" Ajax spoke without hesitation.
Soon the projection in his mind changed, shifting into one of those skill trees in the rpg games.
There were seperate 5 dots in the middle each one of them being a different colour and signified different skills, namely the colours- red for physical, pink for intelligence, white for athletics, blue for mental and grey for instincts.
Yet what mattered to Ajax for now was the White one which represented athletics which had a number 5 plastered on it and has three extra dots connected to it with white lines.
[You can have one of the three options with your current points. All of the three cost 5 points.]
1. Wind's blessing: increase your speed stat by 20 for 1 hour.
2. Recovery: stamina recovery increased by four times for 1 hour.
3. Drag resistance: decrease effect of wind on your body by 50% for 1 hour.
...
"I should have trained more!"
Ajax lamented his laziness which he spent on fantasizing instead of training. However he could only take one, so he stopped and thought for a second. His mind going back to his stats.
[Stats:
[End-10, Str- 12, Def- 9, intelligence.- 7, Speed- 8]
His attributes where pathetic to the point that Ash from the anime could bend him into a volley ball in terms of literally everything except intelligence.
So while he winced in dissatisfaction, Ajax decided to pick Recovery since End was his best stat to boot.
"Give me Recovery skill."
[Skill: recovery added. Skill section has been added to stat menu]
Immediately the skill was activated with a simple thought, filling Ajax's already emptying stamina with upgrading speed from a tank filling motor to a firetruck hose.
Within seconds he stopped huffing, his body filled with power once more as he dashed forward without even needing to breath for a minute.
He laughed as he ran, feeling the energy coursing through him while he ran through the wild grass and trees without worry and jumped across ledges without carrying.
His mind was locked onto getting his C-gear back. His destination set because each second he wasted could very well cause someone to get thrown across some another world thanks to his uncle who didn't even realise what had happened.
