Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Anthony Brightsteel

'I never really questioned why or how things are, I just did.'

Purple-blue hair streaks in the golden rays of the morning light, as a short man takes pleasure in tearing off the clothes and biting down on the nape of a poor buxom maid within his household.

Anthony's parents living up to their promise to get him a sexy cat girl with massive breasts to be his plaything maid, the uproar of moans and coitus fill the air of Anthony's dark bedroom. The two's noises descend and die out in moist bed sheets.

3 months of continuous service later, the maid claimed to bearing their child and is promptly cast out of the house, tears didn't streak her eyes at the thought, there was instead hope for a new and better life for herself and her young for being embraced by a noble man...

6 months later, a guard submits a verbal report of patrols to Anthony, somewhere along the report was described a mothering cat girl dying at a quack childbirth in their Viscounty's slums, causing wide-spread infections as the woman wasn't found dead until now.

Hearing that, only a smile streaked across the bored Viscount's face.

'Good, that means I don't have to clean up the mess of leaving behind a bastard heir and the scandal dies with her.'

...

"Wow Anthony how the heck do you manage Rank #50?! It must be so cool to sit with all the Dukes and Marquise heirs!" A classroom entourage puts him upon a pedestal to which Anthony gets into the mood to roleplay, flipping their prim and prissy hair around before combing it up with a hand.

"I don't know, it might just be raw talent? You'll get it when you do it yourselves, punks." Anthony smirks, enjoying this Divinity of praise from lesser barons and viscounts, despite being a viscount's son himself.

'Pfft, as if… you know all too well you worms that I got someone else to do my work, just like you idiots.' but as the thought crosses over to that… guy.

Anthony checks out another student within the academy, some mid-ranker named Gideon Grimsley, who came a long way from all the way from a far west country to this grand Imperial Academy… a country bumpkin like him shouldn't have lasted unlike a Reincarnator that he is.

Gideon shouldn't have lasted, and he wanted to abuse that.

Constant bullying for cheat sheets, unreasonable public humiliations, and yet not a single hint of despair showed on that solemn look upon Gideon's eyes or face, as if this was all just the past and he's looking towards the future.

'Whatevs, just a trash mob, nobody important~' One more kick, one more punch to the face as the two other Reincarnators with Anthony gangs up with him to bully the poor nerd. This was a fulfilling pass-time, and Anthony's future was most certainly set in stone.

Until the Final year, before the Top 500 students of the academy ascend to become Post-Evaluatees, that was literally nothing, even a failing student could never make it to Top 500 and still come home to their noble house with something.

What would that be? a wealth of experience and knowledge, influence with connections, or even a legitimate pedigree that certifies the noble is suited for inheritance at the recommendation and survey of an Imperial Instructor.

There was quite literally nothing to lose, especially for a Top Ranker like Anthony sitting at 50, except… jealousy.

Anthony loathed how all he had to do was just menially clear out dungeon monsters, slay the next big thing, it was all so boring by comparison to what others did, establishing meritocratic performances, personal purchasing the rights of slaves to research if their performance was better if they were treated nicely, and even something as basic as Gideon's research...

Lighting crops in the harsh winter lands of the Tsardom, where it was plentiful difficult to grow anything due to the constantly grey skies.

Anthony most especially hated the 3rd Princess of Chernobog, 6th child to the throne of the Chernobog Tsardom.

A crippled woman consigned to a wheelchair and yet her innovation for a mana-crystalline circuitry system proved to be more pretty and fancy enough to get her clappy claps from the sexy instructors with the barely revealing black lacey bras? Unacceptable.

Anthony took it out on her with his divine lightning blade, but was immediately met with a crushing reality… that even a crippled like her, was far more superior to magic than him. Despite being an [SSS-Rank Lightning Lord], Anthony was defeated with a mere… ice slip?

Freezing the floor, and Anthony travelling at a ridiculous sprinting speed slipped on ice and slammed into a wall, the humiliation was far too much that retaliation without considering the consequences tempted him.

But before he could do anything more, the servants of the 2nd Princess of Chernobog, 5th child to the throne of the Cherno-okay, no you get the point. The 2nd Princess slammed Anthony into defeat, and Anthony crumbled to how powerless his magic was in-front of an Imperial Treasure, even though it was just a simple shield.

A mere shield, after an ice slip, Anthony's rage fumed and there was a goal set in Anthony's mind, that he'll trick them and enslave them with the first thing he'd do is turn both of those Princesses into his own bitches right next to the buxom cat maid.

All went accordingly, the slave charm collars prepared, the openings timed, with all he needed to do was offer it to them as innocuous bracelets.

But then… He came.

Bumping into him strongly, was that orange haired asshole who was never seen without a stuffed briefcase of papers and scrolls, a mage who didn't even so much as had anything other than a worthless collection of Apprentice-Tier Spells.

The loser that made him more furious than the two whores parading as princesses—Gideon Grimsley. Anthony tried to save his deceptive plan, but then…

"What gift? Are you trying to give me Apprentice-Tier rune tomes?" The 3rd Princess says, as Anthony realizes he didn't have the bracelets, and in Gideon's hands, with a stare akin to a predator that stalked their prey… were the slave bracelets.

'This mob… knew about the slave bracelets?' Then and there, Anthony's rage for the princesses were quelled… only to be redirected to Gideon.

Gideon controls his breathing, and sweat drips off of his body and all over the garden's grass, hiding behind and stalking between the shelves, trees, shrubs. As much cover between him and Anthony.

There was a raging God that crackled with a thunderous clap, the very grass beneath singed with each footstep Anthony took as he yelled with teeth grinding against each spoken word, tongue throwing itself out of the mouth, and veins bulging across their neck.

"COME OUT AND DIE, GIDEON GRIMSLEY! FOR RUINING MY PLANS!"

'Oh I would but unfortunately, that means dying.'

Gideon then proceeds to cast magic and conjures a simple sound with a silent flick of a wrist, with the Apprentice-Tier Spell [Small Illusion], creating a simple noise of a stick breaking… opposite of Gideon's direction.

Gideon watched as Anthony cut down and singed an entire orchard of trees, leaving nothing but charred stumps behind at the wake of claws of lightning crushing and shredding up every last leaf and branch in its jaws.

'Alright, they're not falling for that again.' Gideon thinks, but realizes something… relatively simple as he feels out the shovel and sledgehammer he has on him, they're both made entirely out of metal, with zero hesitation Gideon jumps from the bushes, and towards Anthony, the latter quickly turning to send a glare Gideon's way.

Gideon sees the slash happening within 0.01 seconds, and slams down the whole metal shovel into the ground, the wave of lightning clawing into this world via a magical conduit then comes to destroy Gideon, a sharp pain of electrocution executing the poor student.

"YOU'RE FINALLY DEAD, YOU ASSHOLE!"
