Chapter 2 - Nivarna Sutra! Little Girl from Six months ago!

Xu Jing had a strong fondness for Lu Zhen's parents as they treated her well, and this was completely different from those Xu family members.

With something having happened to them, she definitely had no plans of stepping out of this matter and would follow through to the end.

Even though realizing what had happened to Lu Zhen was a strong blow to her, she had no plans of avoiding him in the slighest, and even felt she should be more involved in his life.

It was a pity, Lu Zhen wasn't willing, and she could only seek another way to deal with this situation.

Perhaps the way others saw it, to the Lu family, it was a loss of a talented kid, but she had different thoughts.

She had never looked at things the same way her clan does, and her reason for approaching him without any fear of her clan retaliating against him was because of his elder brother.

Perhaps only uninformed people like Lu Zhen would walk around with the delusion that Lu Tian's decision to enter the Etreme Martial Dojo was a loss.

As a member of the Xu family knew some secrets, such as the true background of the Extreme Martial Dojo that had opened a dojo in every city.

The founder of this Dojo was the only one who wasn't a city lord, and yet stronger than even all of them, the Extreme Martial Saint, and the only Saint among the humans.

Xu Jing turned towards the fleeting figures in the distance, and her cold eyes turned to those of determination.

While the two of them vanished from her sight, Xu Jing turned her head to the side and asked the woman standing next to her a question.

"Senior sister Xiaoyin, does your Long clan have any records on how to handle this kind of situation?" Xu Jing asked, her eyes filled with some hope.

The woman was Long Xiaoyin, and she was considered to be on bad terms with Xu Jing due to their competitive nature. It would be shocking if anyone could see how they acted like good sisters at this moment.

"I'm not sure, but it probably isn't present, after all, this poison isn't man-made. But I think that some martial arts might offer the opportunity for those in this situation, such as the Feng clan's Nivarna Sutra." Even though she said this, she didn't have hope.

The premise of any technique having an effect is the ability to practice it. With Lu Zhen's current situation, it was impossible to practice the martial arts awakening technique.

His body was becoming weaker, and he needed the antivenom to be even able to survive, let alone practice a martial Awakening technique.

Even if Xu Jing were to seek out this technique, it was impossible to locate the elusive Feng clan with her abilities alone. In a way, what Lu Zhen said was not wrong; the attempt to help him would only become a burden on others.

For someone like Xu Jing, Lu Zhen's little tricks couldn't stop her, especially with the guilt she felt about his current circumstances.

When Xu Jing was digesting the information, Long Xiaoyan kept looking at her friend strangely. This caught her attention, as such she asked, "What?"

"Nothing! I just always thought you were like me, going to end up as a single old woman! Who would have guessed that you have a crush on a little boy from an ordinary family?" Long Xiaoyan looked at her friend as though she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Why do you make it sound as though I'm old enough to be his aunt? Lu Zhen is clearly half a year older than me." Xu Jing complained after Long Xiaoyan mentioned her age.

"Huh! So you have even kept tabs on the birthday of that boy! Sister Jing is indeed very dedicated. It is a shame the other party doesn't understand your dedication." Xiaoyan continued to comment.

It was only after she saw the sadness appear in Xu Jing's eyes that she decided to stop. There was something that she had not said. Back then, Lu Zhen actually had the chance to escape, but he got poisoned because of saving a little girl.

It was just that later, this little girl disappeared, and no one has ever heard about her; as such, it was overlooked. It was strange as this little girl just happened to have disappeared as though she wasn't present at all.

Long Xiaoyan also thought it was insignificant to mention this issue, and such focused more on another important issue.

"I'm just curious, are you not afraid that your Xu clan will do something to that boy?"She asked Xu Jing.

It was just that Xu Jing didn't even have a change in expression when she heard this question. She looked at her friend calmly and said, "Others might not be aware, but isn't your Long clan aware of the reputation of the Extreme Martial Dojo?"

"You mean Extreme Martial Saint's behaviour of protecting his discples' shortcomings!" Long Xiaoyan replied with her eyes narrowing.

"Right! Even though the means they usually recruit their disciples seem despicable, the Extreme Martial Dojo is very good to their people. Was it not for the extreme training environment, who wouldn't be willing to beg for their descendants to enter the Dojo?" Xu Jing replied with a solemn expression.

Hearing her words, Long Xiaoyan stopped talking about this issue, as she knew what Xu Jing was talking about was impossible. It wasn't that the strong clans weren't willing to send their descendants; rather, it was that the Extreme Martial Dojo looked down on them.

Kun Ding looked at Lu Zhen, who had been silent all the way, and asked, "Why did you push away that Xu clan girl? She is definitely a good person."

"It is precisely because she is a good person that she should stay away from a dying person. It is just that based on her temperament, I have a feeling talking to her is a waste of time, and she is not going to stop showing up."Lu Zhen replied without even blushing.

Kun Ding also knew he was right; it was not a good thing to drag others into a mess when it could be avoided. Even though Lu Zhen was stubborn, he had to admit that even he admired him when it came to issues like this.

He definitely wouldn't wish his own daughter to follow around someone prone to die at any time. Even so, he didn't offer any opinion on this issue.

Lu Zhen was clearer about his own situation. Even though he was making progress, and perhaps he might be able to rise until he reached the point of being able to enter the Martial Awakening realm, too, he didn't know how long it would take.

Martial Awakening realm was the first stage after the foundation had been laid, and those at this stage were referred to as Martial Artists. The realm had nine stages, and they were the Ninth, Eighth, Seventh, Sixth, Fifth, Fourth, Third, Second, and First ranks in this order.

For Lu Zhen, before being poisoned, he might have been able to enter the Ninth rank easily as long as he obtained a martial Awakening technique, but things were almost impossible for him unless a miracle happened.

His hope was all based on a miracle happening, but how could such a convenient thing just happen to come his way?

Not long after reaching the Lu family mansion that was situated in an isolated location, he walked to his room.

After his clothes were changed, he walked around the back of the mansion, and two gravestones had been erected. Even though his parents' remains were never recovered, the broken weapons were buried in this place.

One gravestone was erected for his parents, and the other was suprisingly the name Lu Sisi.

"Mom! Dad! Elder Sister! I'm here to see you again. Perhaps it won't be long before I come to accompany you. I can already feel it, my body is reaching the limit and the antivenom can't support me yet. Elder Sister! It is brother that has failed you, I can't even attain First Rank martial artist to avenge your death anymore." Lu Zhen's eyes turned red.

He stood in place by himself as all the memories of his past flashed through his eyes, before walking away.

This time, one could see nothing but desolation in those eyes. He had lost his goal in life and had nothing else to hold onto.

Even now, he had become a burden to his elder brother.

Lu Zhen that had barely walked five steps finally laid his eyes on someone.

It was a familiar figure of a young girl, but he had forgotten about her. Only now did that memory come back.

Six months ago, he tried to save a young girl when the monster that sneaked through the boundary wall went on a rampage thus incapable of escaping.

It was just that he had forgotten about her, and this memory resurfaced now after seeing her.

It was just that his emotionless eyes didn't seem to have much change even after this memories resurfaced.

It was his decision to save her and he never regretted his actions. He didn't seem to blame her for his parents death either.

"You remember me?" She asked in suprise as she didn't see the expected reaction from his face.
