Chapter 4 - Demonic Dao Classics Foundation Shocks Lu Zhen!

aCThe moment he executed the moves, he felt his body was making the wrong moves and had to spend a lot of time correcting them.

Wrong!

Wrong!

Wrong!

Again!

Wrong!

Okay!

He kept trying until he gained the right movements.

This was the advantage of his Photographic Memory, but his body was not in the best condition.

Just about an hour in, he felt his energy was exhausted and stopped exercising, and sat on the ground panting heavily.

Compared to before, his eyes had a certain brightness about them; clearly, his spirit had been reignited.

collecting a bag, he put all seven gourds inside and walked out of the Lu clan residence. Kun Ding appeared beside him.

"Young master! Where are we going today?" Kun Ding asked as he felt Lu Zhen was different today.

"Nowhere! Let's walk around to clear our heads." He indeed had no plans to visit the training hall.

He was planning on spending some hours relaxing before focusing on forging his foundation again.

"Huh! You are not heading to the training hall today?" Kun Ding felt as though he had heard it wrong.

Lu Zhen was always punctual to the practice hall; as such, he found it strange.

Seeing the look on Kun Ding's face, Lu Zhen replied, "Of course not. Let's go and train in a less crowded place today. I want to see if a change can be felt this way."

He had this plan to find somewhere and train after he relaxed.

He was sure that with his Photographic Memory, it would not take him long before he was able to complete his foundation.

This was not something he did for one day; rather, his schedule changed, and time passed by, before he knew it, a month had gone by.

In this period, he was able to master the movement, and the blood in the gourds was clearly only enough to support him for another month, but he was far from completing the foundation.

The thing that he had realized was that this foundation he was laying was far stronger than before.

One more thing, was that he felt strange substances being absorbed from the blood of the mutated beasts, and slowly being incorporated into his blood.

He could practice longer than before, and even his face had turned ruddy.

One day, as he was standing under a tree in an isolated cliff facing the rising Sun, a massive city wall appeared in his sight.

He kept admiring the sun to force himself to overlook the bitter taste of the mutated creature's blood.

"If I wasn't poisoned, the beast blood should have been enough to poison me, right?" He complained secretly despite knowing that what he was saying didn't make sense.

He was well aware that beyond the wall was a chaotic world completely ruled by strength.

He was not qualified to go there yet, but he felt he was getting there.

He exhaled as he drank mouthfuls of blood from the seven gourds.

The effect of the blood was already starting to decline. He had many reasons for this, but he had no plans of abandoning it.

"Strange! How come even after consuming all seven blood essences of different mutated creatures for months, I'm still far from completing my foundation? Could it be, as stated in the technique, I should drain life force and essence of living creatures instead of pinning my hope on this blood?" Lu Zhen felt that there was more to this technique he didn't understand.

But he felt as though something had been added to his physique; he didn't know what it was yet. He also wanted to go and conduct a test to see how much his attack power had improved.

"Old Ding! Let's head back to the training hall!" He was sure at this moment, people were already finished with their training and leaving the school grounds, and as such, just a good opportunity to check out his strength.

"I initially thought that young master had changed, but it seemed this was all my wishful thinking." When Kun Ding heard about his going to the training hall, this was his first thought.

Lu Zhen didn't care about what Kun Ding was thinking; he walked towards the Donghua District School.

The reason he decided to check his progress was simple: he had not checked for a while, and more importantly, he felt his progress over the past months. He also wanted to use this to see just how powerful this Demonic technique he practiced was.

Based on the technique, the seven blood essences he had consumed were used to transform his physique, and he was far more than curious to see the results, considering the effect of the blood essence was becoming less noticeable.

Lu Zhen walked all the way to the school, and a familiar scent from the ground he was standing on assaulted his nose. He smiled slightly at this as he walked towards the training hall.

It wasn't long before the entrance to the training hall was right before his eyes.

Walking inside, he discovered the hall wasn't empty, as a couple of people were present, most focused on their own training.

"Isn't that kid Lu Zhen!" Someone caught sight of him walking inside and reminded others.

The words attracted even the attention of some in the hall, with some showing different expressions. Most of the people didn't care about his presence at all and continued to train.

Ignoring these gazes, he walked towards the familiar strength tester situated at one of the corners.

"I wonder how my strength compares to several months ago?" He thought to himself.

Standing before the strength tester, took a deep breath, clenched his fist, and when his body was completely relaxed, he punched out. His fist struck the soft part of the machine; even so, it shook intensely.

"Bo..!

The moment it landed, it brought about a sound, and his gaze focused on the number on the machine, and his breath stagnated slightly.

-"3201kg"

"Eh! Youngmaster! Is the machine damaged?" Kun Ding, standing behind him, looked at the figure displayed with some confusion.

According to the previous world record, the strongest at the Foundation stage have only been able to unleash a fist strength of about 913kg.

Going beyond it has never happened, and it is well known that the process of entering the martial artist realm was like the evolution of life. After the breakthrough, it is said that the strength undergoes a qualitative transformation by about seven times.

Even the strongest at the foundation stage is considered nothing but an ant before a Rank 9 Martial artist.

Lu Zhen the moment has surpassed the strongest record by about three times.

"Old Ding! Why are you shouting? If there is an issue with the machine, we can always come back later and check again. No need to be so excited, right?" He replied calmly as he walked back and left decisively.

"Huh! Did he just admit that the machine is broken? I thought he had broken through to the martial artist realm! What a shame!" Everyone looked at things differently.

Even after he left the training hall, others were attracted and formed a speculation in their minds. All of them, though, tended to be biased towards him having reached the Ninth rank.

He didn't dwell on the issue, but Kun Ding kept looking at him suspiciously.

"Young master! When did you break through to the ninth rank of the martial arts realm?" Kun Ding indeed asked this question.

He knew his situation well, was just about to explain when a realization dawned on him.

"Wait! I have not finished my foundation yet, but this is how strong my body has become. Since that is the case, I should just ride this out and let this misunderstanding spread. Anyway, this will do me more good than harm." He reached this conclusion and smiled slightly at Kun Ding.

"Old Ding! How much strength did you have on your breakthrough to the ninth rank?" he was indeed curious and also seeking an opportunity to downplay his strength.

"About 4000kgs or more! Why do you ask this?" Kun Ding replied.

"Well! It seems that among rank 9 martial artists, my current strength is disappointing." He stated as he walked back home.

"This has helped me develop a good excuse, and I can continue to practice foundation without any worries. Perhaps I can even take advantage of ths to obtain the boundary wall pass, which allows venturing into the great world." He thought as he looked forward to his first adventure beyond the city walls.

He had already realized that it was impossible to make much progress using his current means. Only by venturing into the wild world can he gain opportunities and even take that step into the real stage.

He was sure that the fastest way to speed up his cultivation of this technique was to hunt and devour the life force and blood essence of other creatures. Mutated creatures beyond the walls are endless, and he had no qualms about using the Demonic technique against them.

"Let's wait for the rumors to spread and ferment for a while before taking any more measures." Lu Zhen thought as he watched the dazed Kun Ding.
