Upon hearing Gavin's words, the little girl paused momentarily and then lifted her legs in the air.
As she raised her foot, she gazed ahead and shouted to Gavin without turning her head.
"How high should I lift it? Over my head?"
"Walter?"
Gavin chuckled softly and continued speaking to the girl.
"Don't lift it that high unless you're a cheerleader!"
"And then what? What do I do next? What lever do I pull?"
"You don't need to do that. Just look ahead and count to thirty!"
As Gavin reminded her, the RV had already begun to decelerate gradually because the girl had obediently removed her foot from the accelerator.
Madison slowed down to match the RV's pace, and in less than ten seconds, the RV's speed dropped to about 100 miles per hour.
Behind the RV, the old Ford abruptly changed lanes and accelerated, overtaking the RV before slowing down right in front of it.
As all three vehicles were gradually slowing, William leaned out of the passenger window of the old Ford and shouted desperately at the rear of the RV.
"Father!!!"
"Stop the incessant screaming, boy!"
Eugene smacked William on the backside, causing him to nearly tumble out of the car.
William clung to the roof of the Ford, silencing himself as he stared at his father.
The RV's speed continued to diminish in this congested situation. After more than ten seconds, it finally dropped below ten kilometers per hour.
Since the girl didn't know how to stop the vehicle, the RV remained in gear, continuing its slow crawl without any pressure on the accelerator.
Seeing this, Gavin flung open the car door and jumped off the slowly moving behemoth.
At the same time, the old Ford also decelerated further, attempting to halt the RV, which was slowly shifting gears.
But William quickly restrained Eugene to prevent him from causing harm to his half-lifeless father, who was caught on the bumper.
Meanwhile, Gavin had already taken two swift steps and grasped the door of the Ford E450 RV.
If he wanted to reach the driver's door of the RV, he would need to run at least six or seven more steps. Of course, Gavin would seize whichever door was closer, as long as he could open it and enter the vehicle.
The RV door was indeed unlocked. Gavin swung it open and leaped inside, entering the vehicle in a single bound.
"Awesome!"
Madison shouted excitedly, then directed the vehicle to continue slowing down, transitioning from a crawl to a leisurely pace.
As for Gavin, he had just boarded when he noticed a woman lying motionless in the aisle, blood streaming from her head.
He raised his foot to avoid her and was about to sprint toward the driver's cab when a deafening roar filled his ears!
His pupils dilated, and he swiftly changed direction, racing straight to the bathroom at the rear of the RV!
The roar emanating from the bathroom door intensified, but after carefully discerning its nature, Gavin squinted in understanding.
There were only roars, no crashing. It seemed the zombies in the bathroom were restrained.
Confirming that the zombies wouldn't break free anytime soon, Gavin turned and dashed to the driver's seat.
Seeing Gavin approach, the little girl wanted to express her excitement, but before she could speak, he seized her collar, lifted her, and tossed her into the passenger seat.
Once at the driver's seat, he stopped the RV and engaged the handbrake. Gavin finally exhaled in relief, pushed open the door, and jumped out of the vehicle.
In the passenger seat, the little girl gazed at Gavin's back in shock, then wiped the sweat from her brow and exited the RV.
At that moment, both the Ford and the behemoth came to a halt.
William was the first to leap from the car, rushing toward the bumper.
Seeing William charge toward the half-zombie lodged in the bumper, Eugene hurried after him and kicked William away.
"Ah!!!"
William cried out in pain as he fell to the ground, rolling over to look at the zombies, tears streaming from his eyes.
"Stop crying, kid! At least you can still see your father, but I can't even find my sister!"
Eugene cursed angrily, stepping up to the zombie and glaring down at its face.
"Ahhh!!!"
The zombie instinctively lunged at Eugene, but he easily dodged its attack.
After avoiding the zombie's grasp, Eugene rubbed his nose and cursed vehemently.
"Curse you, this is the price you pay for stealing my nail gun! This is the price!"
"Your death was so simple; you just patted your rear and died, leaving all the trouble for me!"
"Curse it, the world has changed, this is the end of the world, this is the damned end of the world!"
"Come on, you still want to strike at me, right? Go back to your hell and let me clean up your mess!"
After his furious outburst, Eugene reached for his lower back, intending to draw his gun and eliminate the zombie.
However, when he touched there, he only felt his own firm backside...
Eugene was stunned, looked at the behemoth, and instinctively opened his mouth.
He wanted to say something but hesitated. Taking a deep breath, he delivered a fierce kick to the half-zombie's neck.
"Curse you, this is all your fault!"
One kick, two kicks, three kicks...
Crack...
He kicked the zombie off the bumper.
Seeing his father tumble to the ground and struggle to rise with his broken body, William's throat tightened.
"No!!!"
He shouted and crawled toward his father using his hands and feet.
But before he could reach his father, Eugene had already overturned the zombie with his foot, forcing it to lie on its back as it roared incessantly.
"Look closely, look closely, this is indeed your damned father, another damned father! It's your father once more!"
Eugene stomped on the half-zombie's chest and continued to yell at Madison.
"Brother Ni, give this thing a shot! You lot took my gun! Curse!"
"Curse you, shorty! If you keep calling me Brother Ni, I'll rip your head off and stuff it into your leather swallow so you can see the folds of your own intestines!"
Madison shouted back, causing the little girl nearby to gasp in shock.
"Wow!"
As the little girl exclaimed, Gavin reached out to Madison.
"Knife, there's a zombie in the car."
"What?"
Madison was momentarily taken aback, then glared at Eugene as he silently drew the tactical dagger and handed it to Gavin.
Gavin took the dagger, entered the RV without a word, avoided the unconscious woman, and approached the bathroom door.
He cracked the bathroom door open and peered inside. The zombie within was merely seventeen or eighteen years old, a striking young man with thick blond hair.
It must be the little girl's family.
But so what if they were family? Were they to drag a zombie and a little girl into a tale called My Zombie Brother?
What a joke.
After confirming that the zombie was restrained, Gavin pushed the door open, plunged the knife upward into the zombie's eye socket, and twisted it twice.
The zombie abruptly ceased its movements, and Gavin moved behind it, untying the rope that bound it to the hook before lifting the body.
He exited the RV and carried the corpse to the front of the vehicle.
Upon arrival, Eugene was pinning William to the ground, holding the boy down.
Madison, on the other hand, took the saber and mercilessly pierced the back of William's father's head, twisting it violently.
"Vomit!"
Suddenly, the little girl leaned over the front of the car and began to retch.
Gavin tossed the young zombie next to William's father, squatted down, and wiped the tactical dagger on the zombie's clothes.
Noticing this, Eugene grinned and scolded.
"Big star, how do you use my knife? It's a blade that has taken lives!"
"Curse you, you red-haired dwarf, clean your filthy mouth!"
As soon as Eugene finished speaking, Madison straightened up, as if responding to the tension, and strode toward Eugene with a fierce glare, clutching the saber.
Seeing Madison's towering figure approach him, Eugene quickly stepped back, raising his hands in a placating gesture, repeatedly saying,
"Hehehe, calm down, calm down, I didn't mean anything by it!"
"So what? If I hear you yelling that tough-guy nonsense at Gavin again, I'll make sure you never see the light of day. Show me some damn respect!"
Madison charged at Eugene, using her chest to shove him backward.
"Do you remember? Ha, do you remember? Damn!"
As he continued to curse and argue, Eugene found himself pushed all the way against the Ford, his entire body seeming to be crushed against the vehicle.
