Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Welcome to the Loki Familia

"Pffft—!"

Loki, who had been quietly listening from the side, suddenly burst out laughing.

"That's a damn good idea," she wheezed between chuckles. "Too bad nobody could've pulled it off three years ago—or even now, for that matter."

"Agreed," Finn said, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he came back to his senses.

Riveria and Gareth looked equally stunned by Tsuna's blunt suggestion. Sure, it was a great plan—if you couldn't win, just banish them. The only problem? There wasn't a single person capable of doing that.

"It'd work wonders on troublesome enemies," Finn admitted. "But executing it would require someone with a very specific ability. And as far as I know, nobody like that exists."

He turned to glance at Tsuna.

"I can," Tsuna said simply.

He knew this was his moment to prove his worth—and honestly, he was confident in what his imagination could create.

He extended his hand, and in the next instant, a small white-furred rabbit appeared in his palm, standing upright.

After experimenting several times with his ability—starting from the Sky Lion and refining it each time—Tsuna had gotten a better handle on how to create living beings. The rabbit's design was cute, unthreatening, and easy to move.

The little creature hopped onto Finn's desk, clapped its tiny hands together, and a translucent white barrier formed, encasing part of the tabletop.

A second later, both the barrier and the enclosed section of the desk vanished completely, leaving behind a clean, empty hole.

"!?"

Finn blinked and leaned forward, touching the newly formed gap.

"The cut's smooth," he murmured. "Almost like it was sliced by a blade."

He crouched slightly, studying the cross-section. "The area isn't that large, and the effect lasted maybe two seconds. It didn't sever the desk right away—the material was only cut when it disappeared. That means there's a delay in activation. As an attack, it's not very practical."

Who said it was an attack? Tsuna stared at him, half impressed by his analytical instincts and half exasperated.

"It's not an attack," Tsuna explained. "It just isolates a set area of space and banishes it to a Different Dimension."

"As for duration, I didn't add any specific parameters to my imagination. If I want to shorten or lengthen the effect, I'd need to refine the details more."

"I see."

Finn nodded thoughtfully. Without additional imagination fueling it, the creature could only perform at a basic level. The raw ability was there, but its strength depended entirely on how it was envisioned.

"The ability you give the creature comes from your imagination," Finn summarized. "And the power behind it depends on how well you refine that imagination. So your skill still has a lot of room to develop before it can reach its full potential in battle."

He crossed his arms. "Can these creations be made permanent?"

Permanent, huh? Tsuna knew what he meant, but he hadn't actually tested it. He hesitated for a moment, then shook his head.

"I've only had this ability for half a day," he said. "I haven't tested if the creatures can exist permanently yet. I'll need to experiment more."

"Half a day…"

Finn blinked, surprised. That meant Tsuna had gained this power less than twelve hours ago—and that realization immediately raised another question.

"Wait," he said slowly, turning toward Loki. "If that's true, then this ability didn't come from his Falna, did it?"

"Of course not," Loki replied casually. "Everything you've seen—his magic, his skill—it all comes from him. He's a naturally awakened gifted type. The Falna only makes it easier to quantify his abilities."

A naturally awakened talent. Finn froze for a moment before looking back at Tsuna with new understanding.

Unlike ordinary adventurers who gained their strength through the gods' blessings, Tsunayoshi Sawada was different—he was someone who possessed power entirely on his own, even without divine aid.

The difference in their foundations was massive.

Self-awakened abilities and those granted through Falna were two completely separate concepts. And with power this overwhelming…

"It's beyond extraordinary," Finn said finally, a slow smile spreading across his face.

"If I had to face you as an enemy, I'd be in trouble. But if you're on our side—that's a huge relief."

"Still," he added, expression turning serious again, "we'll need to keep his situation tightly under wraps. No one outside the Familia can know—and even inside, we'll need to limit who's informed. Especially Bete."

He sighed, already anticipating the headache. "That wolf's got a bad habit of running his mouth after a few drinks."

"Gareth," he said, turning toward the dwarf, "I'll need you to talk to him. Make sure he keeps his instincts in check."

"Got it. I'll handle it," Gareth replied, grinning in a way that made it very clear his 'talk' wouldn't be gentle.

Tsuna eyed the large, bearded man warily. That doesn't look like a friendly conversation. More like a dad getting ready to discipline his idiot son… with a belt.

"Riveria," Finn continued, "since Tsuna's ability revolves around understanding monsters and magic, I'd like you to teach him what he needs to know—monster biology, magic theory, that sort of thing."

Given Riveria's vast knowledge and experience, she was the perfect mentor. Finn trusted her completely with the role.

"I don't mind," Riveria said calmly. "But what about Ais?"

Finn winced immediately at the name.

"Right… Ais."

The mention alone gave him a headache.

Ais Wallenstein was a prodigy within their Familia, already incredibly strong—but she had one fatal flaw: she never listened to anyone. The girl practically lived in the Dungeon. The only person she ever listened to was Riveria.

If Riveria focused on teaching Tsuna, that would leave Ais completely unsupervised—and that thought terrified him.

He could already imagine her diving into some absurdly deep floor alone again.

"We'll have Tiona and Tione keep an eye on her," Finn decided after a moment.

"Fine by me," Riveria said with a faint smile. "Though you do realize Tione's temper is your problem, right?"

Finn sighed in defeat.

Once all the arrangements were made, he stood, stepped around the desk, and extended his hand toward Tsuna.

"Welcome to the Loki Familia."
