Chapter 3 - Tanaka’s teachings.

As the group returned to the Uchiha compound, the weight of the battlefield lingered in the air. Despite the somber atmosphere, Fugaku's eyes gleamed with something rare: pride. His gaze fell on Yagami, who remained quiet but exuded a newfound confidence.

Fugaku: "Yagami."

Yagami straightened, his attention sharp.

Fugaku: "Your sensory skills and throwing technique are exceptional. The way you handled yourself in that moment—without hesitation, with precision—proved your worth. You acted instinctively, and it saved lives."

Yagami also realized that, he felt truly alive when facing opponents. It made his heart race.

Yagami told "Thank you for today Lord Fugaku" and left to home to bath and relax.

Fugaku turned to Tanaka, his tone carrying an uncharacteristic warmth.

Fugaku: "Sensei, please teach Yagami. He is a rare talent. The Uchiha blood runs strong in him, and with proper guidance, he can become a force to be reckoned with."

Tanaka's eyes narrowed slightly, suspicion flickering across his face.

Tanaka: "Fugaku, you never praise anyone without good reason. What are you scheming, my dear student?"

Fugaku smirked, folding his arms.

Fugaku: "Sensei, Yagami killed a Chūnin from 300 meters with a single kunai. The trajectory was curved—an incredibly difficult skill to master, even with training. And yet, he achieved it instinctively, without guidance. That is not something you see every day. He's a natural. I ask that you polish this diamond and make it shine."

Tanaka stroked his chin thoughtfully, his sharp mind dissecting Fugaku's words.

Tanaka: "Hmm... The clan members may not take kindly to me focusing on Yagami, given his status."

Fugaku's expression hardened, his commanding aura filling the room.

Fugaku: "Leave the clan politics to me, Sensei. I will handle the dissenters. Yagami's potential is too great to be stifled by outdated traditions."

Tanaka sighed, a small smile playing on his lips.

Tanaka: "Very well, Fugaku. I trust your judgment. I'll train Yagami, but remember—this responsibility is yours to bear."

Nodding in satisfaction, Fugaku gestured to Shisui, who had been quietly observing from the side.

Fugaku: "Shisui, find Yagami and bring him here immediately."

Shisui grinned, always eager to play the role of messenger.

Shisui: "On it, Lord Fugaku!"

As Shisui vanished, his laughter echoing faintly, Yagami approached the room with steady steps, his curiosity piqued.

Yagami: "Did you call for me, Lord Fugaku?"

Fugaku stepped aside, allowing Tanaka to speak. The elder regarded Yagami with a measured gaze, his expression softening just slightly.

Tanaka: "Yagami. I've heard about your remarkable skills, and I find myself interested in teaching you. You've caught my attention, boy."

Yagami bowed respectfully, his excitement barely concealed.

Yagami: "Kindly teach me, gramps. I'll do my best."

Tanaka chuckled, appreciating the boy's eagerness.

Fugaku left the place

Tanaka: "The first lesson you must learn is that mobility is the greatest asset of an Uchiha. Without speed and fluid movement, even the most advanced techniques are meaningless."

Yagami's eyes gleamed with determination.

Yagami: "I can already move as fast as a Chūnin. I've mastered the Body Flicker Technique."

Tanaka's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise.

Tanaka: "Oh? Who taught you such a skill?"

Yagami: "I borrowed a scroll from Niisan. I asked him to guide me, but he's always busy—leaves early in the morning and returns late at night. So, I studied the technique on my own, the same way I learned to throw kunai."

Tanaka couldn't help but smile at Yagami's resourcefulness.

Tanaka: "Impressive. Show me your Body Flicker. Go to the Naka River bed and bring back a pebble."

Without hesitation, Yagami focused his chakra and vanished in a blur. Moments later, he returned, holding a small, smooth pebble in his hand.

Tanaka: "Hmm, your speed is good—not bad at all. But I noticed something: you lack stamina. This will hinder you in extended battles."

Yagami: "What should I do, gramps?"

Tanaka: "From tomorrow, you will run seven laps around Konoha every morning. This will build your endurance. We'll refine your speed, but first, you need the stamina to sustain it."

Yagami nodded firmly, clutching the pebble as if it symbolized his commitment.

Yagami: "Understood, gramps. I'll start tomorrow!"

Tanaka placed a hand on Yagami's shoulder, his voice low but resolute.

Tanaka: "Good. With your determination, you'll surpass even my expectations."
