The team got onto their usual plane taking off towards the lab at night. The flight was three hours so they went over their plans slowly. "Intel says the security is mostly people from notorious mercenary groups around the world." Lily said and Damon laughed "I thought we were going to use tranquilizers to knock them out." Max smiled while checking the sniper rifle in his hand "do we take them out for good or we stick to plan." They all turned to look at Lily and she smiled. "Let's do the world a favour." They switched the tranquilizers for actual bullets and equiped silencers. Just as they approached the location, the alarm in the plane started blaring and the radar showed that they've been locked into. The team put on their suits and adjusted it well before jumping off the plane. Just as they were sky diving, the plane was hit by a heat seeker and Lily contacted the pilot. "Sparrow come in.....Sparrow can you hear me." The communication went quite for a while before there was a reply "I'm okay..I managed to suit up and eject before it hit but you'll have to wait a bit longer for extraction after the mission." He said and Lily sighed. "Copy that." They landed in the desert quietly and checked their gear before moving in. Taking out the guards at the posts one by one, they realized that all the guards were wearing oxygen masks and the suits system had not shown any sign of air contamination. "I don't feel good about this." Ciara said and everyone was on edge because her warnings were always on point. Deep in the lab, the mainframe showed that the guards were being taken out and they instantly made a call. A man in a dark room staring out a sky scraper picked up the call and after knowing what was happening at the lab asked his man to check it out. A minute later, his subordinates told him it was rapid response and he panicked. "Launch it now.....launch it before they get to you." The scientist who made the call panicked "but sir we've not included all the dna yet." The man slammed his hand on the table and yelled "it doesn't matter launch it and activate the bombs in the building before evacuating." The scientist nodded yes sir and picked the red vile steadily placing it in a mini missile before arming the missile. "System reading signs of contamination." The device attached to their combat gear began to glow red with alarm and they all put on the oxygen masks and sealed off their suits to prevent external air from getting in. They began to move in faster but the mercenary group protecting the building already knew of their infiltration and mobilized to defend the lab. After ten minutes, they successfully took them all out but it was too late, the mini missile had been launched and when it got into the atmosphere, it exploded displaying a reddish gas which also multiplied when in contact with the air and spread out in all directions. Most of the scientists in the lab escaped wearing gas masks and the team managed to catch a few of them. "What the hell was that gas." Lily asked angrily and the lead scientist at the sight of the gun and bead bodies of the mercenaries said immediately, zombie virus." The suit broadcast every rapid response battle and the military leaders watching all heard what they said. Also the people in the village heard it and immediately put on their gas masks. "God help us all." Grandma Sarah said softly while shaking her head and took out a phone sending a message to her family which was a powerful family. Her family instantly put on gas masks and dashed off to their disaster bunker which they had prepared already due to the grandma's order never expecting to actually use it. "Is there an anti virus." Lily asked immediately and the lead scientist shook his head that no one of the lower scientists at the back rose his hand trembling and said "l made an antivirus but...it only has my family's DNA...and the virus has the DNA of seventy percent of the world's population. Immediately, there was a loud explosion in the lab and the building began to shake. "They activated the explosives we got to go." One of the scientists said and they Lily held the scientist who made the antivirus. "Come on let's go." They started to evacuate but as they ran, the walls started to collapse and crash down. The scientist was buried under rubble with only his hand showing. "Go to the ammunition store in the next town...my wife and daughter are in that store. Ask them for my computer all the information you need is on it...the password is my daughter." The scientist lost consciousness and Lily checked his pulse. "He's gone." She said softly and Ciara shook her head but the explosion was not stopping "come on girls we got to go." Max and Damon said at the same time then they dashed off. Upon getting out, the saw the bodies of the mercenaries they took out outside begin to convulse and they stood up again coming towards them. This time, shooting their body was not going anything but slowing their pace of moving towards them then Damon shot one in the head making him fall down immediately. "Go for the head." He said and they stood back to back shooting the zombies in the head. As they shot, an armed helicopter appeared in the sky and sprayed the rest of the zombies lowering a ladder for them. "Come on." Sparrow poked his head out of the helicopter and yelled and they climbed up the ladder heading into the helicopter. "Go to the ammunition store in the next town...hurry we need to pick someone up." Lily said and the helicopter flew off. In less than an hour of the apocalypse, the town was on fire and the ammunition sotto at the edge of the town. The team could see a woman shooting at zombies from the top of the ammunition while a little girl was reloading magazines behind her. Their movement was in sync as of they've been doing it all their lives. The woman wove at the helicopter and they descended immediately. "Is your husband a scientist." They asked the woman and she nodded then Lily and Max jumped out of the helicopter. "We need his computer." Lily said immediately and then looked at the woman again. "You from ice phoenix." She said in shock and the woman was also stunned then pointed her gun at Lily. "Calm down I'm rapid response." Lily said and the woman instantly dropped the gun. She went down with Lily and Max and dashed into the room to get the computer while Lily and Max watched the door of the ammunition preventing zombies from coming close. They put the little girl in the helicopter and sparrow passed the girl a mask to wear and she did so quietly. The woman came out with the computer and they all got on the helicopter then flew off. "Damn who did all this?" Damon said as he looked down from the helicopter to see the chaos outside. "I'm sure there is a big conspiracy behind all this but for now we need to hurry up and find a way to stop it." They all sighed and landed at an air strip clearing the zombies there and picking a private jet which was abandoned there to fly back home.
