Chapter 25 - Past...

Keeper's Pov :

Today was a day I could never forget, why because she cried in front of us because of them, section e and that bastard of Watson....

I'm Keeper Cole Wilson, whoever crosses me the wrong way ends dead. People think I have an alpha personality and that I can never be a good person. They see me as a ruthless person who can easily crush anyone, but the only people who truly know me are these three David, Stella and Jay Jay....

I was only 16 , three years older than Jay and two from other's. I always cared for them like my own like my family for who I could do anything....

I met David and stella during our school because they were seniors with me but we all met Jay when she saved us....

Flashback:

We three were running down the street fully injured trying to escape our enemy when suddenly three of the guys came from the front and attacked us we were ready to take on the pain but after a few moments when we didn't feel anything we looked up and saw her... Like damsel in distress she came in swiftly took down all the three men and carried us on her shoulder to the corner.. All of us couldn't even process anything but our gaze was fixed on her and then she spoke "You guys need to get out of here. They are dangerous.. GO" She said and we ran like hell.

After that we tried to search for her but we failed but one day we saw her in the back alley fighting and we could see she was tired so we went and helped her out and since then we became the best of friends...

She was our junior back then at a different school but we still adored her. We found out about her family situation but instead of sulking she glowed and that's what kept us going with her and suddenly she became our world. The centre of it one might say...I helped her become stronger both emotionally and physically, Stella and David became proper children with her. Our parents adored Jay as much as we did. She was practically my little baby who I loved soo muchh just like family...

Soon enough we graduated when she was still in her school and then came our tests... The company, meetings leaving us a little time with her but seeing her have a boyfriend like cyrus who was sweet kept our minds at peace..

But after what went down with cyrus ,her step dad and aries,we all started hovering over her all the time leaving no time for the company which was unacceptable by the investors so they started pressuring us and soon enough all our enemies started ganging up on her it was getting difficult to protect her with her blood issue we called angelo...

We were all sitting in the car — me, David, and Stella — engine running but no one driving. The phone was on speaker between us, Angelo's number glowing on the screen.

He picked up on the second ring.

"Cole," he said, calm as always.

"Angelo, it's me," I said. "All three of us are here. It's about Jay."

There was a pause on the line, long enough for the sound of rain to fill the silence.

"What happened?"

David leaned forward. "She's not safe here. Too much noise, too much heat around us. We can't risk her being dragged into it. We need you to take her."

Angelo didn't answer right away. When he spoke again, his tone had shifted — softer, but sharper underneath. "You want me to bring her here?"

"Yes," Stella said quickly. "You're her cousin, she trusts you. You're away from all this mess. Just… keep her safe."

Angelo exhaled through his nose. I could almost hear the thought process. He'd never been the type to say yes without measuring every angle first.

"I'll take her," he said finally, "but under one condition."

David looked at me. I said, "Name it."

"You don't contact her," Angelo said flatly. "No calls, no visits, no messages. If she tells me she wants distance, I'll give it to her — and you don't interfere. She's been through enough because of you three and that damn Cyrus . She needs peace, not protection that drags her back into danger."

Stella frowned. "Angelo—"

"No," he cut in, voice firm now. "If I take her, you stay away. That's the deal. I don't want her tangled in your business. She deserves a normal life for once."

David's voice dropped. "You really think we'd ever hurt her?"

"No," Angelo said quietly. "But you attract the kind of hurt she doesn't need. I won't let that follow her into my home."

I closed my eyes. "Fine. We accept your condition. Just make sure she's safe."

"She will be," he said, then hung up.

The car was silent again, except for the steady tick of rain on the windshield.

No one spoke. No one had to.

We all knew what that condition really meant — goodbye....
