Chapter 111 - Seeing Through the True Form, Sibling Conversation

The agile young girl standing before Luo Yu seemed a bit shy.

"Something wrong?" Luo Yu asked.

Xiao Wu hesitated before speaking, "About what happened in the dining hall earlier… I'm sorry. It was our fault."

Luo Yu waved his hand impatiently. "Who keeps track of trivial matters like that? Besides, it doesn't really concern you. If you've got something to do, just go."

Seeing the impatience written across Luo Yu's face, Xiao Wu felt that it wasn't disdain—but rather, he seemed to be deliberately hiding something, almost urging her to leave.

Xiao Wu froze, wanting to say something, when a golden gleam flashed in Luo Yu's left eye.

In that instant, Xiao Wu felt as if she could not hide anything—her entire being was exposed. Shock coursed through her, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

"He… he can see through me?? He knows I'm a spirit beast?" she thought, utterly stunned.

But seeing the faint, enigmatic smile on Luo Yu's face, Xiao Wu suddenly understood. His extraordinary strength and unique abilities made it plausible that he could see through her. Recalling his earlier words, she felt a surge of conflicting emotions.

When she had been in the Star Dou Forest, he had saved her life. Now, facing her—an ancient spirit beast—without harming her, she could find no way to repay him.

Her delicate eyes trembled as she stared at Luo Yu, mind buzzing. This human… is just so different!

"Thank you," Xiao Wu said haltingly. Not because she wasn't sincere, but because those three words felt so insignificant compared to what he had done.

"You're welcome."

Luo Yu yawned and waved her off, signaling that she could leave.

Hulena and Xie Yue watched, puzzled, sensing something unusual in the atmosphere.

Ultimately, Xiao Wu said nothing further, casting one deep, lingering glance at Luo Yu, as if imprinting him in her memory, before bidding farewell and turning to leave.

Xie Yue's eyes followed her retreating figure, a hint of lingering interest in his gaze. "Nana, you think that girl has someone? When we get a chance, let's go check her out at Shrek Academy."

Hulena turned her head, giving him a look of sympathy mixed with regret.

"What's that look for?" Xie Yue asked.

"Don't worry, just by her expression, I can tell you've got zero chance," Hulena teased.

Xie Yue pouted. "Why not? With my background and strength, there's no way I can't pursue a girl I like?"

Hulena gently tapped him and whispered, "Brother, listen to your sister's advice. If you get too close, you'll likely end up lonely forever."

Xie Yue's confidence wavered slightly upon hearing that, and he reluctantly nodded in agreement.

"I'll be leaving now," Luo Yu said, taking his leave.

Xie Yue wanted to call out, but Hulena blocked him, smiling gracefully. "We'll see you again. Safe travels."

Suddenly, Luo Yu leaned closer to the two siblings and spoke seriously.

Xie Yue and Hulena exchanged a brief, surprised glance, then nodded firmly.

"Don't worry, we'll keep your secret," Hulena reassured him.

Luo Yu gave a nod and a gentle smile, noticing these two were truly decent people. They weren't arrogant despite their powerful background, and they had a sense of selfless courage. If they could indeed keep his secret, there was no need to treat them coldly.

After Luo Yu left, Xie Yue waved his hand in front of his sister. "Hey, snap out of it, she's gone."

Hulena pouted, lost in a dreamy gaze. Seeing her like this, Xie Yue thought her crush was obvious enough to shock even the head of the Spirit Hall.

"Brother, which faction do you think he belongs to?" Hulena asked.

Xie Yue thought for a moment. "By logic, only the Seven Great Sects would have talents like this. But his spirit doesn't match any known lineage. Maybe it's a mutant spirit, or he's from a hidden sect."

Hulena's eyes dimmed. "Do you think we'll never see him again?"

"The Spirit Hall is huge. Investigating him is easy…" Xie Yue started.

"Brother!" Hulena interrupted angrily. "We promised him we wouldn't investigate or spread rumors about him in the hall!"

"Alright, alright," Xie Yue raised his hands in surrender. "You're worried he might be an enemy?"

Hulena snorted. "Even if he's an enemy of the Spirit Hall, he saved our lives and kept his promise. How could we be ungrateful or betray him?"

Xie Yue gave a wry smile. "See, we think alike."

"I don't think he's the Hall's enemy. Otherwise, why save us?" Hulena said thoughtfully.

"I guess he's trying to stay low-key. His strength is unmatched, but he doesn't want to reveal it yet," Xie Yue sighed.

"Is the Spirit Hall really that… sneaky?" Hulena asked.

"It's not about being sneaky. The continent isn't unified yet. Every faction protects its interests. If someone else has a peerless talent, wouldn't you be wary?" Xie Yue explained.

"…Wait and see if others' prodigies rise and unite the land, or…" Xie Yue trailed off, expression grim.

Hulena smiled faintly, "I understand."

"This guy… even his mind is mature. Despite being powerful and talented, he keeps a low profile. If he were our enemy, that would make him terrifying," Xie Yue continued.

Hulena laughed lightly. "A truly mature mind would have killed us both. No secrets would have been leaked. Do you think he doesn't understand that?"

Xie Yue was speechless.

Hulena gazed after Luo Yu, her presence exuding a noble aura. She scoffed softly, "If someone like him ever rules, I'd be willing."

"Looks like my sister's smitten," Xie Yue muttered.

Hulena recalled Luo Yu's demeanor and actions, her expression softening. "Honestly, even without personal feelings, judging by fairness alone, someone like him could bring real prosperity to ordinary people."

At that moment, Xie Yue seemed to forget his stance, nodding in agreement with her as they both watched the distance.

"Yes," Hulena whispered.

"Brother, do you think we'll see him again?" she asked, melancholy in her eyes.

"Of course. Someone like him is destined for greatness. He won't remain unknown forever. You'll meet again at the top," Xie Yue said.

"Then we must keep working hard," Hulena said, clenching her small fists.

In the distance, a figure sped across the sky, a golden silhouette shining brilliantly in the night.

Hulena and Xie Yue exchanged a glance, as if silently agreeing, nodding to each other.
