Now, Lin zhan had no choice but to hunt and gather power again. His system interface flickered before him:
[Level: Peak Seventh Rank]
[Power Points: 47,000]
"Not enough," he muttered. "Movement and defensive arts still at A Rank. If I want to survive the next breakthrough, I need them at S."
He roasted a piece of fresh boar leg meat over a small blue flame and sat cross-legged beside it, calm and unhurried. The sizzling aroma mixed with the faint hum of spatial energy around him.
For a brief moment, the deadly realm felt almost peaceful.
He chewed slowly, savoring the warmth, his black eyes reflecting the firelight.
"So this is life for now," he whispered with a faint smile. "Killing beasts, collecting points, cooking dinner. A peaceful day for a cultivator, huh?"
When the meal was done, he stretched, closed his eyes, and let his consciousness sink back into the system panel. The glowing plus signs beside his low-level skills seemed to beckon him.
"Next," he said quietly, "Space Swift Step and Void Turtle Armor—time for you to evolve."

Outside the shimmering barrier of the secret realm, a middle-aged man stood with his hands clasped behind his back.
His brows were furrowed, and he kept glancing toward the transparent crystal gate that served as the entrance. Two months had passed since Lin Zhan entered, and there was still no sign of him.
The man muttered under his breath, "It's been two months already… even for him, that's too long. Did something go wrong inside? Should I… report this to the higher-ups?"
Just as his hesitation grew, the crystalline surface of the gate began to tremble. Soft ripples spread across it like waves on a lake. The man's heart jumped.
"Someone's coming out!"
The next moment, the entire crystal wall cracked open with a deep hum, and a black shadow slowly stepped through.
Lin Zhan emerged.
His clothes were torn in a few places, and a faint, dried scent of blood clung to him — not overwhelming, but sharp enough to remind one of countless battles fought.
His gaze, calm and steady, carried a weight that hadn't been there before. Two months in the secret realm had clearly changed him.
The middle-aged man quickly approached, relief visible in his eyes. "Young Master Lin! You finally returned! The elders were starting to worry."
Lin Zhan gave a short nod, brushing a trace of dust from his sleeve.
"I stayed a bit longer than planned," he said lightly.
"Y-you mean—?" The man hesitated.
Lin Zhan merely shrugged. "Just a matter of timing. The beasts inside were… generous with their experience."
A brief silence followed before the man exhaled. "The clan will be pleased. I'll report your safe return at once."
"Don't bother," Lin Zhan said, his tone calm but firm. "I'll inform them myself — after I've cleaned up."
He gave a polite nod and walked past, leaving faint spatial ripples trailing in his wake.
The Lin Family estate was vast and quiet in the afternoon sun. Courtyards lined with ancient stones, silver pines swaying gently in the wind — it was peaceful, almost too peaceful for someone who had just returned from a blood-soaked battlefield.
As Lin Zhan approached the inner hall, an elderly man in grey robes hurried out from the corner.
It was Butler He, loyal servant of the Lin household for over three decades. His wrinkled face lit up with both joy and urgency.
"Young Master Lin! You've finally returned!" he exclaimed, bowing slightly. "The household has been restless since you entered the secret realm."
Lin Zhan smiled faintly. "Relax, Butler He. I'm fine. You look more anxious than I am."
Butler He sighed, lowering his voice. "It's not that, young master. You've been away for two whole months… and while you were gone, the family's leadership held several meetings about an important matter."
Lin Zhan paused mid-step. "An important matter? What kind?"
The old butler hesitated before answering, his tone careful. "I heard it's related to the Void Training Tower."
At those words, Lin Zhan's eyes flickered slightly. He leaned back, arms folding loosely."So it's finally happening," he murmured. "That black tower… it hasn't opened in years."
He remembered it clearly — a colossal structure that stood like a spear piercing the sky, nearly a thousand meters tall. Its surface was engraved with ancient runes, and unstable spatial ripples constantly surrounded it. Some called it a "training tower," but everyone knew it was far more — a relic from an unknown civilization, a place where power and madness intertwined.
Butler He noticed the shift in his expression and grew more serious. "Yes, young master. The council mentioned that you should be briefed directly. This file…"
He produced a sealed folder from his sleeve and handed it over. "Contains the details. The leader instructed me to give it to you as soon as you returned."
Lin Zhan accepted it with a nod. "Understood." He glanced at the file briefly, then tucked it away. "Tell the leader I'll report to him soon. But for now, I have to go out in two days. Don't worry i will come soon."
Butler He's brows knit tightly. "In two days? But… you just returned! And the Void Tower's opening might occur earlier this time — perhaps in only one or two months. The leader won't approve any long trips!"
Lin Zhan's lips curved slightly, the same faint, confident smile as always. "Then tell him I'll return before it opens."
"But—Young Master—!"
He didn't let the old man finish. "Don't worry, Butler He."
With that, Lin Zhan turned and walked toward his courtyard, his steps unhurried. The faint sunlight shimmered across his back, tracing his outline against the stone path.
Even the air around him carried subtle distortions — proof of the immense spatial power now resting beneath his calm exterior.
Behind him, Butler He could only sigh helplessly."This child… always walking his own …"
Inside his room, Lin Zhan set the file on the table, unfastened his outer robe, and sank onto the bed. His mind was already wandering toward the future.
Lin Zhan's lips curved into a faint, confident smile. "Both my movement and defensive skills… have evolved to S Rank."
S Rank! That's incredible! Even among the main bloodline, such progress in two months is unheard of!
"The Void Training Tower…" he whispered. "Looks like my next hunt won't be inside a secret realm — but inside that thing."
His eyes slowly closed, a faint smirk curling on his lips.
Void Training Tower is not training tower but more than a opportunity to break through current realm of power in this world. That thing is beyond this planet.
Outside, the last rays of evening light fell across the courtyard — quiet, warm, and peaceful before the coming storm.
