Due to a previous agreement, Aurora paid for the travel expenses. Meanwhile, Kyle got out first go out and walked towards the empty house next to the blue tent.
"Nothing strange?" he muttered softly, approaching the half-open door.
From the right, he heard faint footsteps. Reflexively, he turned his head, but there was no one there. Kyle swallowed hard afterwards.
After that, he felt someone's presence on his left. When he turned his head, Aurora appeared, walking slowly towards him.
On the other hand, Aurora saw Kyle standing frozen, staring at her intently without saying a word.
"What's wrong, Kyle? Something strange is bothering you again?" she asked, handing him a pamphlet she had just picked up.
Kyle took it, his face still confused. He looked at the writing on the paper; Flotine Festival - starts at 7 p.m. Below that was a list of events and activities for that night.
"Oh, yes... I just remembered. This city always holds a festival every Sunday night, once a month," he muttered softly.
Kyle glanced back briefly before asking Aurora.
"Don't tell me you're going to take me to the festival?" he asked suspiciously, returning the pamphlet.
Confusion appeared on Aurora's face after that. She took the pamphlet and said, "No, I'm just being confident." After saying that, her face wrinkled as she remembered a beautiful memory.
"Alright, I don't want to go there either. Especially with you," said Kyle, and walked towards the house with the door slightly open.
A few more steps, and Kyle arrived. As his right hand reached for the door handle, an odd mumbling sound pierced his ears, and his eyes widened in shock. He stood still, frozen at the doorway.
Aurora, who was following him while observing the situation around them, was startled by this. She approached Kyle and asked him how he was.
"Hey. Answer me, what's really going on?" she asked, shaking Kyle's shoulder.
Meanwhile, Kyle felt nothing after hearing the voice, not even Aurora shaking his shoulder.
And suddenly... his consciousness and body moved to another place, standing still in a dark expanse, surrounded by floating grey rocks. On the other hand, Aurora saw this and her mouth gaped open.
"What the hell! How could he disappear? Something's strange."
After saying that, Aurora suddenly ran around, circling the house to look for Kyle. But she couldn't find him, and her body began to tire.
Aurora decided to rest, trying to think positively about Kyle's current situation. She also felt suspicious about the strange sound that had been ringing in her ears since she arrived in front of the house.
"No wonder the coachman's behaviour became strange after arriving here. I thought it was normal, but when Kyle suddenly disappeared, my suspicion of that voice increased a hundred percent," thought Aurora, covering her mouth with her hand.
Strangely, the voice did not paralyse Aurora's body, only Kyle was affected by it. Because Aurora had become a "Hollow" who mastered the role of "Magician." Although not completely yet.
The reason Kyle disappeared was because he was just an ordinary human being, without holding any role in this world.
Aurora felt satisfied, her fatigue had disappeared. She stood up and decided to enter the house to investigate what was inside. She pulled the door handle slowly, ready to defend herself if anyone attacked her silently.
The house was quiet and had long been abandoned by its owner. The reason this luxurious house was left behind was because of something strange that happened, such as screams, conversations, and whispers that made one's ears hurt. They appeared precisely at 8:00 PM every day.
The screams occurred every day, even for months. And the worst ones appeared on Friday nights, precisely at five minutes past eight. Not only were there sounds, but also shadows that resembled human forms.
Physically, they resembled a woman with long black hair that touched the floor, floating in a terrifying form.
The strange occurrences began about two and a half years ago, and the news spread among the townspeople living near the house, including Flove and her mother, who knew about it.
But Flove did not tell her friends about the strange occurrences, especially her close friend, Kyle.
Meanwhile, Aurora, who felt she could not see her surroundings, was forced to turn on a little light.
"Come out!"
A small flame appeared, floating not far from her forehead. The living room was exposed, and Aurora could see it clearly.
As she had expected, there were sounds of animals such as mice, cockroaches and other small creatures. Around her were dozens of spider webs surrounding the living room.
The nests bothered her, but she could only brush them aside with her hand and move on. Aurora walked past the dust-covered sofas, glancing at them briefly before continuing on her way.
Now, she stood in front of a door that she had a feeling hid something. Instinctively, she knew that if she entered this room, she would find something.
And sure enough, after the door opened. Aurora was shocked to see what was hanging in the middle of the room. She thought Kyle was trapped in the spider web.
Aurora was a little suspicious, unsure if Kyle was inside. After that, Aurora wanted to make sure. She conjured a spark of fire and threw it at the web, burning it. She had also adjusted the temperature of the fire so it wouldn't spread everywhere.
Her blue eyes sparkled in the light of the flames before her. Aurora was a little wary, because the spider web had turned to ash and was beginning to fly around her.
The ash slightly impaired her vision, so she decided to get closer to make sure. Aurora was surprised afterwards, just as she had thought.
"I knew it, the spider web was just a decoy..." The atmosphere became silent afterwards, accompanied by the floating flames.
Aurora's alertness increased, she chose to leave the room and look for it elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Kyle's consciousness had returned. He was now in a vast space, surrounded by small grey stones floating around him.
Kyle was startled and said, "Isn't that the stone I saw back then? Why is it here..." His lips trembled violently after saying that.
However, he decided to touch the grey stone with his right hand. The moment his fingertips touched the grey stone, the first sensation he felt was a warmth that calmed his mind.
"So... Who are you? And why am I here?" he asked, looking at the woman shrouded in shadow, standing and staring at him from a distance.
The woman laughed at Kyle's question, taking a step towards where Kyle was standing.
"Yes. Have you forgotten me? How cruel! My heart feels like it's about to explode!"
Kyle's eyes widened upon hearing the words he had once heard.
"Hey, could it be you?" Kyle smiled cynically after saying that. Meanwhile, the woman continued walking towards him, also with an odd smile after hearing that.
